Although some of the listings are in a different language, for the most part these are easy to follow.

I'm not too excited about the half circle neck breaker, but it's good to see Ibuki's combos in tact. I was worried the 3S characters were going to be dumbed down, but it looks like they've tried to keep them as true to the originals as possible.

anyone knows what the lightningbolt and the blue square mean?

#6
Obelisk said on March 14, 2010 at 5:43 p.m.

lightning bolt indicates armor breaking property
blue square indicates that an EX version is available

Pick up knife uses 3 punches now. No big deal but I just found it slightly annoying xD.

haha...11 pages of Ibuki...

#9
FLOwDOG said on March 14, 2010 at 5:47 p.m.

nice stuff. Still gonna wait for an english version. Would like to read all the context behind some of these moves.

#10
zUkUu said on March 14, 2010 at 5:48 p.m.

for the language: it's german and the 2 sentence below every char mean:

*If your character facing right
*Only chosen Ultra available

Bibuki said on March 14, 2010 at 5:55 p.m.

Man going from Guile to Ibuki will be such a ridiculous challenge. I'm gonna lose all my games for the first 5 months :(

#12
kondee said on March 14, 2010 at 6:05 p.m.

Good lord, that's a lot of Ibuki!

#13
DETROIT_BUSHIDO said on March 14, 2010 at 6:09 p.m.

Ibuki has almost all her target combos!

#14
JohnJohnson said on March 14, 2010 at 6:15 p.m.

Ok, this will give me a chance to say my one biff with Super. HELLO CAPCOM, what happened to the Moves lists in SF4? In SF4, all the characters moves were on one character page in the move list options. It was easy to read, understand and colorful. Here: it just text and it looks boring and is spared out on more then one page. Was it too much to ask for to at least have the characters picture next to their name?

Blazingsoldier2002 said on March 14, 2010 at 6:17 p.m.

Niiiiice! Ibuki's looking good. I'll have so much fun using my Ibuki, Guy, and Fei Long skills to squash the Shoto Army.

Guy has an EX Air throw!!!! If the priority is great he maybe catching shoryukens.. But talk about bluffing and baiting with his Grab ultra. But I guess against Tanks like Gief he needs something to make them think twice about trying to close distance.

#19
Ex_Ein said on March 14, 2010 at 6:36 p.m.

I'm totally picking up Cody just so I can be like "BINGO!"

#20
SonicBoxer said on March 14, 2010 at 6:37 p.m.

well looks like Deejay's gonna be low tier, spewin!

#21
PainKiller said on March 14, 2010 at 6:59 p.m.

@22

because how many pages he got on his move list ? rofl....

#22
corybell said on March 14, 2010 at 7:52 p.m.

wait wait... I thought we were clear on the fact that Dee Jay wont have any mashing on the Upper, and that all you need is the Flash Kick motion, but then why is there a mash symbol after it? Did they decide to make it just like it was in Super?

#23
DeeJay said on March 14, 2010 at 8:05 p.m.

@22
Yup. Cause the number of pages on a character move list determines how good a character is. lol

In that case, Ibuki's the new Sagat because she has 11 pages rofl.

Still like Ibuki though.

#24
juxtapose said on March 14, 2010 at 8:37 p.m.

Ryu probably has the shortest move list in the game and he's been consistently high tier throughout the history of SF.

Most of the time the characters with the longest move lists end up at the bottom of the tier list because they're harder to use. Look at Gen.

#25
NA said on March 14, 2010 at 8:44 p.m.

Do move lists list every characters command normals? I ask because Makoto has one listed (forward+HP), but in 3S she had a command normal for every button.

#26
Invader_Darko said on March 14, 2010 at 9:21 p.m.

They changed see jays maxout to air slasher? Wtf lol. whoever said Dee jays machine gun upper was just hold down and press up and punch was thankfully wrong. its the same as it was in sf2.

#27

f_cking
pages?
Who needs that sh_t? Really?
Can't wait to get Super and then fight the Dial a Combo armies of 3s toons...

#28
MasterBIson said on March 14, 2010 at 11:07 p.m.

hmm looks like dee jays machinne upper is charge + mash i hope is not a 5 times mash like every other mash character, mashing is for the weak fools ''mash shoryu, mash tiger knee, mash electricity, mash lighting kicks'' so dee jay cant have that sh-t in his combo list

Loving Dud's Target Combos. Seeing Justin Wongs Vid also helped me figure out what im looking at gameplay wise. can't wait

#32
Giubo said on March 15, 2010 at 12:40 a.m.

@ 22

Wow explain me why DJ should be low tier? He doesn' t have many moves, but like in SF2 he has strong normals with high priority.

Anyway we must see how he will be in SSF4, but in SF2 was pretty good.

#33
KilerG2000 said on March 15, 2010 at 1:26 a.m.

I think the mash up button on DJs move would be a pain in the a** but I thibk it would make him safer on block and help control the number of punchs so that he doesnt get punished easy on miss.

@ 12 bibuki man your already thinking of switching 2 ibuki before u haven't even tried ssf4 guile... wait bro we just might be surprised (fingers X)with ssf4 guile.

Im not giving up on him yet.

#35
Kaiser said on March 15, 2010 at 2:50 a.m.

@ OMG DEE JAY HAS TO MASH AND CHARGE...

FALSE

Comes out the same way as a down up charge, mashing just adds extra hits

#36
machineking1313 said on March 15, 2010 at 3:23 a.m.

They changed Dee Jay's projectile from Max Out to Air Slash?? Why?

#37
Someday said on March 15, 2010 at 4:15 a.m.

So now all the 3s characters have tons of their target combos which are easy to land. Is that even legit?

#38
Pusha_T said on March 15, 2010 at 5:08 a.m.

does anyone else find it wierd that deejay can throw projectiles.

#39
Gamogo said on March 15, 2010 at 5:09 a.m.

@38 - That's what Dee Jay said in the Japanese versions of Super Turbo. i.e. he yelled "Slash!" whereas in the US, NZ and Australian releases he said "Max Out!"

I'd imagine the descriptions are perhaps tied into the region settings specific to the version of the game. For example, Akuma in the Japanese releases on consoles for SFIV is called 'Gouki', Bison 'Vega' and so on.

#40
Giubo said on March 15, 2010 at 5:26 a.m.

@ Pusha_T

umh?? DJ had always throwed projectiles...

#41
SpicyBurrito said on March 15, 2010 at 6:12 a.m.

Thre's gonna be a price to pay for those target combos.....I wouldn't be surprised if ibuki's damage scaling ended up being the highest in the game. She's gonna be so much fun to use though.

#42

@45
Makoto definitely has that air kick that she can do extremely close to the ground and it is a special move. It can be spammed to build up meter. What are you talkin about? Some pro will figure something out with her and then we'll see how many people complain about her lack of options.

#45
DasherMs said on March 15, 2010 at 7:12 a.m.

I can't wait to play Makoto...grab'n Choke :)

#46
kender said on March 15, 2010 at 7:18 a.m.

To 45 I have just one word: Karakusa.

If you don't consider this, you never played 3S in your life.

#47
Blazingsoldier2002 said on March 15, 2010 at 7:51 a.m.

I really doubt Ibuki will have 850 stamina, but she looks like she's still going to be the awesome, brutal, kickass ninja girl she was before.

The only one that looks changed for the worse might be Makoto since they seemed to have removed some of her command normals.

#48
PainKiller said on March 15, 2010 at 9:17 a.m.

@49

If she keeps her damage and people still **** their pants when blocking normals waiting for karakusa, she will be just fine.

#49
Stingah said on March 15, 2010 at 10:06 a.m.

Does anyone see any similarities between Hakan and Birdie?

Both are grapplers
Both have unusual hairstyles / mustaches
Both have a jump grab
Both wear chains
Hakan’s focus attack looks similar to birdie’s dash-headbutting attack…...

#50
PainKiller said on March 15, 2010 at 10:16 a.m.

yeah

less than abel/seth urien/gill tho

#51
kurokiba said on March 15, 2010 at 10:26 a.m.

Dee Jay will be sick!!! best normals in the game!!! your 3s characters have no rhythm, thats why they will lose!

#52
Pusha_T said on March 15, 2010 at 10:38 a.m.

@51--birdie is a charge character though. Biggest difference.

chickenwings said on March 15, 2010 at 1:41 p.m.

looks like ibuki will be rare online just like c viper. With c viper there either really good or just terrible and i dont think it will be different for ibuki. Hopefully the time invested in learning her will pay off and justify the challenge. But then again if ryu and company are still meat head easy and generate wins i dont see many people goin for it.
