The official Japanese Super Street Fighter 4 blog was updated with newish Hakan screens and both of his Ultra moves, plus a new wallpaper collage featuring the whole cast.

Azrael had this to say about the latest Shiozawa (Nakky) blog entry, which was light on content.

• Hakan is the president of a world-leading cooking oil company. He uses the oil from his company in the fight. ... Of course, he hates fire.

• Capcom is teaming up with another restaurant in Japan to do Street Fighter themed dishes again.

I just wallpapered that collage... :)

And yes, the english voice fits Hakan perfectly.

PS: please don't let Adon suck as much as it seems he will... PLEASE!!!

By the way, has anyone bothered to explain why Hakan has Legos for hair?

Awesome things happening!!

@ #5
Don't question it, just accept it lol :P. They'll prolly explain it in a Nakky blog or worst case in his story in the game.

See, this is what happens with voice acting. People tend to prefer whichever language they hear first. Because we heard him speaking English right off the bat, everyone will love his voice, while they'll complain to no end about all the other characters.

@ #8 i dont think thats true alot of people Still hate, Dudley's, Makoto's, and Ibuki's, engilsh voice and thats what was heard first. Like Adon alot of people prefer his english over his japanese. Whatever fits better to the charecter is what people are going to use not what they hear first

@ #5
I thought it's a hair in the first place (because of the moustache) but it could also be a cap, maybe he wants to protect his hair from the constant oiling up.

See, Hakan's hair has to be "Real" because his daughter's hair is like that too. My theory is that it was too hard for Capcom to render curly Turkish hair well and this is what we got instead.

I love the collage of the characters, it is my new background. Sadly, I cannot use it as my background at work due to Cammy's "flexed glutes"....

The kids look like Toads (from Mario).

Adam don't let him hear you say that

and I love his counter ultra

I just realized something. Hakan's Ultra II lets us see the foreground if he does it facing the left side of the screen. I hope Capcom paid attention to this.

The reason his hair looks like "legos" is because it's supposed to be a very stylized rendition of curls for hair.

There is no background for it like a cap, it's just an artist's perspective on it...

So Hakan hates fire..Does that mean Dhalism's ultra 1 and Ken's hard dp / ultra 1 do extra damage to him lol?

I LOVE YOUR DAUGHTERS. THEY ARE SO PRETTY.

"I LOVE YOUR DAUGHTERS. THEY ARE SO PRETTY."
I'm gonna say that, in that same voice, all the time now. Even though I'll sound like a pedo, and probably end up being arrested...

Awesome wallpaper though.

And lol at the third screenshot
Hakan: *HUG!*
C. Viper: *angry face*

Cooking oil company eh?

Maybe El Fuerte will be one of his rivals?

Posted by AceKombat on March 11, 2010 at 2:21 p.m. #24

Is it me or is the thumbnail picture of the youtube clip showing the ultras is , well , rather disturbing ? I feel sorry for Honda...

Posted by Sloth on March 11, 2010 at 3:05 p.m. #25

@25 Yeah just looked after reading your post. . . Weird.

Posted by BajanBlanka on March 11, 2010 at 3:24 p.m. #26

And the world warriors pic just became the background on my ps3...

If Hakan hates fire, would fire moves inflict more damage?

Posted by Bolton on March 11, 2010 at 4:45 p.m. #28

English voice is better, surprisingly..

Posted by kara on March 11, 2010 at 5:05 p.m. #29

good point, so what happens when he's hit by fire dragon punch, etc., should be instant K.O. there and then

Posted by JerseyFame on March 11, 2010 at 11:23 p.m. #30

why does every ultra have spinning?

Posted by KDash on March 12, 2010 at 2:33 a.m. #31

I noted that too. a lot of spinning Ultra II's.
Akuma, Abel, Gief, Fuerte, Ken, Rufus, and many others that have variants of a spin. Like IV "comes full cirlcle" haha

I like many others find Hakans english actually much better than the (usually superior) japanese. In japanese he sounds smaller and less enthusiastic.
