They are repeating the same character outline over and over again.

Ummm, there's Chun-Li and Doctor Doom and possibly Dormammu in the silhouettes if you look carefully.

Maybe I'm spoiled on the polished look of the new Marvel movies or something - I prefer the First Avenger look of Captain America over this version; Robin Hood Boots are so 1970s

Well in the background I think that they repeat the characters, but only twice. So they cut the circle in the vertical axis, and repeat the same characters on the left and the right sides. You can get to see new characters.
Now another idea is If they put most characters that are in the stage as a background, then perhaps Tron will be in this game again.

I think the second dude from the left is a Super Skrull. That would be an interesting way of cramming the Fantastic 4's powers into the game.

Sorry, but this site is for Capcom fighting games only right now. I'd love to cover other fighting games, but I can't dedicate the time or resources into other fighters when there's still so much to do in this scene.

@21: The silhouettes shown aren't the only characters in the game. Remember they're planning to have about 30, and the final roster isn't set in stone yet.
And if you're trying to say there aren't many characters with just thirty... just think that with thirty characters there are about 25,230 different possible team combinations, not counting the different assist types. I think we'll be busy with this game for a while.

@36: That "leaked" list is almost 100% fake. Capcom has very point-blankly said that no members of the Fantastic Four will be in the game.

You know, I don't think that one silhouette is Dormammu. Dormammu's likely going to be the game's final boss, based on the way he was shown in the trailer, as well as his status as a god-like entity.(Though Shuma Gorath was god-like and still playable)
I'm thinking that silhouette may be Dr. Strange.

@47 Last I checked, Mr. Fantastic was actually a fairly central character of the Fantastic Four.

Also, there are at least three different "leaked" lists out there, all claiming to be from source code from a flash site, yet all being slightly (or not so slightly) different. None of these sites actually share the source code, either. I'm just highly suspicious.

The source on it is that someone got it from sourcecode, but never actually released the source-code, and no one has actually come forward and claimed that they themselves got it from the sourcecode. It's all just second-hand, and even the site that sourced the information is largely skeptical to how real it is, with a fair number of people all providing supposedly leaked lists.

capcom side so far:
2 characters from street fighter, 2 chars from devil may cry, 2 chars from darkstalkers, 2 chars from resident evil, 2 chars from dead rising (frank n chuck)!

i can be sure its dante also! but the character lineart is most resemblance from wesker! im like if he's gonna pose something i think its gonna be way cooler with the guns or sword!

THE LEAKED LIST IS FAKE

Ok, so I make my research about this "KookerKid" (the guy who showed the leaked list in gamefaqs), it turns out he/she is a recognized troll in smash bros, Mario kart, Wrestlemania, and God knows where else. Koolerkid is well known for making fake info about games, especially "japanese leaks". Since he has done this FOR YEARS he might have gotten really good at making his info believable, but GOD! he has make this with so many games that now it's just too obvious.

In conclusion, the MvC3 lists are fake, so always remember the famous internet phrase "Don't feed the troll".

There aren't any confirmed rosters yet, so aside from characters with definitive silhouette that have been identified (Chun Li, Trish, etc), most everything is up in the air yet.

Doctor Doom is NOT a MEMBER of Fantastic Four, Its POSSIBLE he is in MVC3

My comments about that were regarding the lists with Mr. Fantastic on them. Dr. Doom is almost certainly in the game, based on the silhouettes.

As long as storm, sentinel, and magneto are gone.

@85 These images are rendered versions of the in-game models. They're not illustrations.

I hope that Captain Commando,Mega Man X version, Blade,Thor, Storm,Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange,Arthur (but the Cannon Spike version), Bionic Commando, Cyclops, Sentinel and Lost Planet Robot with man, and Venom is in. I prefer the 2009 black guy with the dreads to be the Bionic Commando character- he's much more interesting and the coolest character model compared to the old Bionic Commando versions. That would also add more diversity to the Capcom side.
I also think I MAY have discover a silhouette who could be Spider Man. Lots of people missed it, It looks like Spider Man scratching his head (like he did in MVC 2 for one of his poses) and he's standing in the middle of two Silhouettes. One looks like Dr. Doom and the other guy looks like Super Skrull the arm is covering over Spider Man's elbow if that is Spider man (just a guess not saying it to be him). I still wish that Gill, Urien, and Seth could make it in because all three of those guys fit a description of Super villains that you would see in a comic book. If not so it will be cool to at least have either Seth or Gill- preferable Gill.

The pics they shown us said wesker but Dante isn't listed so maybe the sillohoutte is Dante not Wesker but more characters will be added to the list

I don't care who else capcom confirms, as long as strider hiryu and chun-li are in, I'll be happy. Game looks awesome anyways, and the tvc controls don't really bother me. I can't wait!
