Looks great but... You know how SF4 is completely different game than 3S? MvC3 is pretty much MvC2 with different characters and better graphics. I was hoping for something fresher.

People who don' like the fast pace of this game must be way too used to ssf4. Capcom seriously delivered. Looks solid and the comic book style is fantastic.

Needless to say that MVC3 is visually spectacular, other than that it's not my type of game because I was never into MVC1, MVC2 or TVC because of the play mechanics. I'm not into these fast 50+ hits-comob-all-action fighting genres but more into in depth strategy of the SF series. But for all those who like MVC2 or TVC, this is a must get. Others like myself will pass.

Do the characters say their team mate's name during team combos?
For example, in Gameplay Video 4 at 0:48, I think Dante says "Ryu!", and then Ryu comes in. And then at 0:50, Ryu says "Chris!" and Chris comes in. Is this the characters saying this or the announcer? Or is it just my imagination?
Either way it's a really nice subtle detail. Nice job!

I think the characters are not inked enough, i can still see some color. A little more inking and we will all fight using shadows, and maybe make all the background full white to.

Cool thing is the game looks amazing... stages, combos, partner combos, flashy things everywhere, fast action...
Stupid thing is... not fresh, moves and supers recycled, felt like the only way to start a combo is with some pokes ending into a launcher, they didnt show counter or defense mechanics.
All the matches almost run out of time, I hope they could balance all of these correctly.

So far the game looks amazing, and Tony Stark just raised up to the most badass rich guy in my list with this

Pity they didn't show gameplay vids with either of the Darkstalkers characters. Also wish they showed Deadpool's healthbar super (unless they did and I missed it?). Overall looks fantastic, though.

wow, the subtle differences in the game really balances things out. All the non-projectile characters (wolverine and captain) got a major damage boost. And simply making the fighting screen smaller makes giant slow characters like hulk playable. Before all he good do is keep dashing only for the other player to jump and dash back while they shoot fireballs up his nose. Now everyone is forced to play against the hulk in arms lenght, yeowch. Also, iron man's other specials have better range as well.

This is definitely a sequel to Marvel 2. That's what Capcom aimed to do, that's what they accomplished, and nobody can say otherwise. Of course I've obviously yet to play the game, but my major concern was that they were shifting back a gear so casuals can keep up, which isn't the case.

@6 MvC has always been for mashers. 3 is obviously no different.
The franchise is FUN but saying it's competitive is like saying Smash is competitive. It has such a large following because you learn infinites, and whoever hits first wins. so its more about memorization than strategy and mindgames.
If 3 is balanced, it'll be a huge step forward though.

Not my type of game, waaay too fast, chaotic (distracting stage-backgrounds) + constant character switching. The ultra animations look good though. I think it will have some fans for a couple of months ;-)

Gotta love how much dedication has been put into all the fan-nods and references in just this demo alone. Deadpool's Shoryuken, Cap and Iron Man referring to each other as Steve and Tony, Dante and Chris using practically every weapon they had in the games, etc. So freaking hype right now.

The MvC3 Trailer looks awesome, & Dante fighting Deadpool looks amazing. I like the part where he spins his swords on the table, then after he does that, he shoots at his opponent :D

The characters look weird. They look kind of like pre-rendered sprites, like something out of Killer Instinct or Donkey Kong Country - especially Hulk. They're just kind of stiff and bland.

Visuals look a little harsh on YT. I'm sure they'll look better on an HD monitor when you're controlling it yourself.

I really don't understand why people bash smash bros. It takes skill to play at a high level. It can be just as competitive as other fighters. Just because it has mario and all these other characters doesn't mean it isn't competitive. By the way smash bros fight system is original so that makes it unique. Something all other fighters don't have.

I don't know if anyone notices, but Chris Redfield mad reminds me of Solid Snake.
His zoning is based on delayed mines and explosives and he has easy, strong hit-confirmable combos.

As for smash being non-competitive? Lols.
People who never played Melee with any advanced techniques (much like people who don't play high level in any game) will never understand the depth to it.

Ryu isn't bad at all. He is TvC Ryu i.e probably top tier in this build. Fireball is hella fast and high priority normals and his shinkuu hadouken is ridiculously huge and fast.
