I'm loving it. Unlike MvC2, it's not just a mass of bodies on the screen doing full-screen-filling attacks 24/7. Due to these videos and the control setup, I think I'll pick this one up.
@ #2 they r demonstrating the characters move set capcom was saying that they made mvc 3 with the same game play as mvc 2 so expect the Same chaotic gameplay
..............Crap. I really hope it doesn't end up like that.
wow iron man is top tier im calling it. All i know is im playing captain America don't know who else yet.
@AceKillah It's not hard to give early speculation judging by the way these characters are playing in these gameplay videos. Just look at Dante: easy to link combos, fast, high damage. He'll be just like Magneto.
As for Dudley in SSF4, I don't recall people ever saying that.
Ok So apparently, voices can be changed between languages. (this is a godsend for me, since chars from SF, or Darkstalkers I prefer to keep in japanese, along with the fact that I dont like Kyle Herbert. I also like that touch they added, where the character will yell out the name of the character they are switching with.
@27
I don't think that's the case. It's because Player 2 is using all Capcom characters (Japanese company), while Player 1 is using all Marvel characters (American company). There's obviously an option to switch languages, but I don't think it's by an individual player basis. Marvel characters will speak English regardless.
Oooooh it's so pretty.... so so pretty. The character designs look absolutely stunning, especially Deadpool, Felicia, and Morrigan. I cannot wait til' this comes out, I have been waiting for years to whoop on fools with the greatest female fighting game character ever Ms. Aensland. W00t!
Psh, Ryu only looks low tier cuz no-ones doing his 3rd Strike Kick to continue combos, and the fact that no ones doing High-Low Combos (L, cr L, M, Cr M, etc.) I have a good feeling that this will be much to the vein of TvC in the sense that every one will be useful.
SO, another gameplay ability MVC3 seems to have is the ability to cancel supers if you're the last character on your team. Glowing red I guess is the desperation sign.
the character models here look better then sf4. I cant imageine how bad morrigan and felicia(her hands would prob be bigger then her head lol) would come out in sf4.
@26
When you have been playing Darkstalkers since Night Warriors came out, picked Morrigan for every crossover and have been hearing her beautiful, seductive voice ever since, you would be pissed as well when Capcom gets a crappy english VA for her. TvC came out NOT too long ago, and they couldn't have the same VA's come back for Ryu and Morrigan? I'm VERY dissapointed, Capcom. I'm still 100% getting this game, but I pray you have a voice setting for it.
I dig deadpool's gun super :p
bang! bang! bang! bang!
To all the guys talking about Dudley, I feel your pain. I mained him in 3s so I couldn't wait for him to appear in super. Unfortunately he just cannot be compared to his version in 3s. MANY of his combos are removed, more than I can count, He only seems to have 3 or 4 ways to bypass a block, all of which can be easily defended or countered. He lost a ton of his pressure game due to the ducking being so bitchy about when it'll go under a fireball, and the distance his shortswing travels is extremely small compared to 3s. It seems like the only way to cross to pressure is a jump in, easily punished, a duck easily blocked or a random machinegun blow stopped by a fireball because it lacks super armor. He has the potential for great set-ups like gouken, but is simply unable to capitalize or land them most of the time due to excessive blocking and low priority on many of his moves and target combos. His overhead is also easily crushed by a shoryuken and target combos are ruined with light attacks. He defintely needs a major adjustment as does makoto, but knowing capcom this probably won't happen. As it is, he's more of a nerfed rufus. If you want to have rushdown I'd say definitely stick with Rufus or fuerte for now, who's attacks have good mixup and priority.
Ok that wall of text aside, Loving the way this looks. Ican't wait to try deadpool and all the characters seem good so far. Can't wait to try it out.
Hey Diasflaq or whatever your login name is. There are many fans of the Marvel series that are checking this out. Can't blame for wanting to see what this game is all about. You say that you don't want to see post's 'it's not my kinda game' and then get flamed for it by dissing a great game like SSF4.
So you don't like SSF4 I can see that but there are players that have opinions.
As much as I loved the MVC2, I did not care for TVC. It just wasn't for me. I do hear that MVC3 will be similar control wise to TVC which seemed to simplistic to me compared to what MVC2 had. This is something I am worried about.
So yeah I guess. I'll go back to SSF4 even though they nerfed my favorite Character to near uselessness now I'm still enjoying what it has till I see a better game come out.
wow captain america's shield throw is too cheap and dante has like the best rushdown game. Argh looks like we'll be seeing a lot of these 2 in the future. Deadpool has nothing goin with him except his special. Ryu is complete garbage. But I will always use wolverine, he is my favourite and the coolest character in every game hes in :)
hey guys it low quality but here is more MVC3 if your interested its got the select screen as well get hype!
Funny how people have already jumped to conclusion to these characters based on these trailers. Let's remind that this game is NOT complete yet. Remember before SF4 came out, they were saying they are combining the EX Series with regular SF (going the 3-D route and super cancels). Well that didn't happen, did it?
Although just on these trailers alone, it looks like TvC with MvC characters. Ryu with an air dash and the mid air combo switch. Knowing the fact the same producer that created TvC is making this as well I don't see any changes in animation and gameplay. The added shading to and tone down figures of each characters (i.e.: Iron Man is less buff than MvC2) is minus for me. Capcom is trying to make each characters more realistic just doesn't make sense. To be honest, I rather have graphics from MvC2 in HD put into MvC3 than the current graphics in development. What they should focus on is just the gameplay and eliminate all that broken crap from MvC2. They should just port over the graphics (in HD of course) from MvC2 and be done with that.
Thank God this is a year away from completion Im liking the roster but Felicia and Morrigain are looking kind of weak, they don't seem to have the range to dominate, but I am curious about that charging move felicia was doing, never seen that before (Maybe a Darkstalkers move). Also in previous videos Hulk does'nt have his armor which is why it seems like Hulk is on the weak side as well. But im not worried it's plenty of time to balance things but for the most part all the characters look strong in their own right so I can't wait to play this.
Best E3 ever.
I still don't understand what about MvC2 makes it so wonderful. 90% of the stuff done in that game is totally reliant on air based moves and specific characters who can take advantage of them, and infinites. Sure, there is a lot of depth to what those 8 characters can do, but in all honesty it's as if everyone picked Yun in 3rd Strike and made that what MvC2 is. Have you guys ever even picked anyone remotely low tier lately? Do you see how a TvC control scheme would work for characters like that, so that they could have ground and air options instead of being pummeled because they can't link 2 light attacks together for hit confirmation?
Was that Deadpool using the X factor in the second video?
I watched a few videos of MvC3 in which almost nobody used assist attacks to cover their weaknesses or extend combos. With this extremely accurate information of what the final product will be I will now point out what makes these characters great/bad while disregarding Seth saying Deadpool and Dante where the most complete of the characters shown.
Oh wait I'll post and not say outrageous things like many of you. Game looks sweet. So many things look ripped right out of a comic book (the fonts, special effects. page tearing, ect). People call their partners by name and they do it in character (lol at the hulk). Deadpool is essentially perfectly represented. Graphics are nice and gameplay looks classic. I look forward to seeing more.
Dante is gonna be top tier and one of the most spammed characters in the game. Good speed, good rushdown, Nevan anti-air, crazy sword reach, and all of his DMC moves are present (though I haven't seen Royal Gaurd yet).
@75 dante takes his royal guard stance when he blocks attacks lol but as far as moves goes he has used any royal guard counters, maybe he will in the final product o_o
This is the best fighting game at E3 for several reasons.
.Deadpool and Dante are the coolest characters and they have equal abilities in different ways shown.
. It bring the graphics to life in a comic book style.
.The controls and gameplay are easier and deeper
respectively than any other game in them MvC
series.

What a hyper-kinetic, mish-mash mess of a poor excuse for a fighting game! : /
Seems CASUAL fight-games rule the roost now. -_-
------------------------------------------------------
Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Vs. series has always been fast paced, easy combos, tons of action.
And what do you mean about those type of games ruling the roost? The purer fighting games like SF4 and SSF4 have have just been released in the past 1 and a half years, so what are you crying about?
@79 That's what I was talking about. The Royal Gaurd counters. Sorry for not being specific.
HELL YES MVC3!
