Thanks for all the vids loltima. They've definitely helped me a lot in getting better with Akuma.
Akuma's super grabs too fast to allow jumping. Of course you would know this if you watched the whole video or looked at basic Akuma setups since 3rd Strike. So take a chill pill #4. Also chip like damage is certainly not around a 4th of your health. Knocking out a decent chunk of health from a blockstring with an unjumpable grab is not a waste of meter it is just another very powerful option for the character with tons of powerful options.
The main advantage of the super, as Teapo said is the instant 0 frame throw. This not only allows for stuff like this, but can allow you to punish just about any move with decent recovery (aka almost every special).
It's a niche role that the Super fills, and sometimes dammit you just need it there for insurance (although in general, Akuma shouldn't *try* to save stock when his EX moves are devastating enough but he builds meter like crazy so Super is available enough for its uses to be considered)
#6 has a point, as much meter as akuma builds, i find that when i use him i can throw EXs and FADC SRK->fierce shankensu and STILL build full super a few times in a 3 round match. he builds meter like no one's business. when you have it, there's no reason not to consider a super demon when you have it. there are times when its more viable in a situation than WOTRD too, so even if you have an ultra available that instant throw is too good when its set up. people really underestimate the demon, its always been a powerful tool in akuma's arsenal, but you cant be looking to use it. it needs to be something that you realize you have and put to use in the right scenario (just like pretty much anything else). contrary to what #4 says, that 1 frame grab is VERY worth 4 EX meters.
@#4 Wow, the only failure here is your ignorant post. First off, you CANNOT jump out of a super raging demon from point blank range. Which is what makes the set ups in this video amazing. Second, a guaranteed 30% of someone's health is hardly chip damage. Get a clue about the game before you start knocking others' discoveries.
Anyway good s*** ultima, I hate the akuma match up and this is going to make it even more annoying.
#4 I don't use Akuma but I do know that many characters with Super/Ultra grabs like Zangief or T.Hawk when done point blank will NOT allow you to jump, only if your out of range enough where start up is longer allowing you to retaliate, This video basically shows you how to turn the Super Demon into a 0 Frame grab, hence why it's called Kara Super Demon. Not sure if it is really 0 frames though but im assuming the purpose is to throw the demon this way so they cannot escape.

this is such awesome technique! Its a shame that 90% of Akuma just run away and only know fireballs, teleports, HK, c.HP, and sweeps. To all legitimate Akuma players, PLEASE SHOW THESE SCRUBS HOW TO PLAY AKUMA lol!
Glad you guys enjoy it. The Super is a 0 frame grab #4, so unless you sniff the setup and jump BEFORE the super flash, you won't be able to escape this setup.
