New Marvel vs. Capcom 3 poster

Herlock and Blazingsoldier2002 pointed out that a new Marvel vs. Capcom 3 image has surfaced.

This is likely a promotional poster for E3, but it only features previously confirmed characters. The fighters shown are:

Capcom side: Ryu, Morrigan, Dante (Devil May Cry), Felicia (Darkstalkers) and Chris Redfield (Resident Evil).

Marvel side: Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, The Hulk and Deadpool.

There are also some new outlines which should spark some debate in regards to who they belong to.

The small silhouette behind Ryu's head looks like it could be Strider, the silhouette next to him seems to have an ear piece of some kind - Captain Commando?

The silhouette next to Ryu with the ear piece is most likely the Flash.

I know it's a bit late to complain about this but I really really wanted to see someone else doing the art. Shinkiro is a great artist and all but his style is so "not Mahvel".These cover arts are basically indistinguishable from TvC ones (outside the characters). This art style makes it look like MvC3 is a sequel to TvC. His work doesn't have the "craziness" and colors that I feel would be appropriate for this type of game. It's too refined, which is why a lot of people like him (me included), but he is the wrong person to do art for MvC3 in my opinion.

The previous VS-artist was better fit, but I wouldn't like him to come back either.

That person on the left next to Ryu[character confused to be the Flash] could be U.S. Agent.
U.S. Agent looks sorta like Capt America with his outfit.

My guess for the shadow to the right of iron man is Psylocke....yeah its a stretch, but I want her in the game :P

Obviously not ready, and likely nothing interesting, but it is curious.

Man, the background looks a lot like it could belong to Akuma-minus the protrusion on the right-but it could be a swirly rendering like his SFIV "rough":

Doramanu is at the top, Super Skrull is the one next to Ryu (the one you guys keep saying has an earpiece... those are his ears). The guy behind Super Skrull is probably Doom although it'd be nice if it was Juggs, his armor has gotten a little slicker since the 90's.

On the Capcom side (the right), I think that is West inside the bigger silhouette (I'd like it to be Gene...) which is feminine, so I'm thinking Chunners.

There really is no "side" so it's hard to tell, that little silhouette inside the (what I hope is) Chun-Li silhouette could be anyone from Marvel.

I'm liking the thought that the small one next to Ryu is Super Skrull. Would explain why they said none of the Fantastic Four would be in MvC3. No need to have 4 characters when Super Skrull equals all 4.

Guys Guys , if you look closely at Dante's shoulder , you'll see a brown thing I don't know how to describe it , but it's he's DMC3 coat . Look at he's picture and he's shoulder , they're the same .

This artist (Shinkiro?) is the same artist (or at least, the same artstyle, almost precisely) that did one or more of SNK's King of Fighters installments a long while back (i can't remember at the moment).

when CvS2 came out, he did the artwork for the all the character portraits if you were to choose S, N, or K groove.

He also did Capcom Fighting Jam, and TvC.

I really like his artstyle. At the same time, I feel his artwork doesn't seem to emanate the Comic-Book feeling that MvC3 is trying to convey.

But...it's nice to see that Shinkiro found a comfy home at Capcom coming from SNK. :D

Oh in for those that don't know who blackhearts father is his name is mephisto look him up on wikipedia in you'll will match that silhouette with his pic but capcom gave him that big hair again for the game.

But seriously crapcom why does morigan have to be in every game. why not demitri, or john taliban, in I'm tired of seeing felicia. I don't expect to see as as many peeps as in mvc2 but put some character in that deserve to be. Lord raptor would be a beast... This is just me but would any body else like to see to see arthur from ghost in goblins in there???

But if any body would look at the first pics of mvc3 when it came out one of those silhouettes is nightcrawler
