I would've played C.viper all the time if she was replaced with Captain Commando skin

I always felt she had a lot in common with Terry Bogard, move-wise. EX Thunder Knuckle is just like Burning Knuckle, EX Seismic Hammer is like Power Wave, and HP Thunder Knuckle is like Power Dunk. I guess the Capt. Commando stuff is in there too.

Good video, but I think it's a case of mere coincidence than anything else. I mean, Capcom has hundreds maybe thousands of character desings I'm sure if you look hard enough you're gonna find similarities in lots of them.

Nah, that's the first thing I thought when I saw C.Viper too.

The Dynasty Warriors music was nice but holy crap I never noticed that even though I played Captain alot back when MVC2 came out

You could throw in half the characters of SF4 and say the jumping punch can look like Captain Commando's.

But seismic hammer is pretty similar.

Even if Killian came out one day and randomly said yes this is the case C.Viper was based off Captain Commando, it wouldn't be a piece of news I'd stare at for more than 5 seconds without moving on and not giving it a second thought.

Yet, the mere "news" that some random guy has made a comparison vid and posted it up, was worth staring at for more than 5 seconds, and then, even worth posting about. Nice one ds123, thanks for your opinion, your taxi is on the way.

Back to the topic. Interesting to see, even if it is coincidence like Gameplan said, it's nice to see stuff like that even just for a laugh. Would be cool to see more "comparisons" no?

Capcom does this to quite a bit of their characters though. They tend to reuse and recycle moves around.

THAT IS C.VIPER'S BABY FATHER!!!

One is super hyper and always moving (on the run from child support). The other is calm and moves gracefully (and the proud mother of one)

You can see that with Cody and some other characters. Like Cody's F+MP looks similar to Ryu's F+HP, Cody's Zonk looks like Ryu's far Standing HP. Not as amazing this though :D its a nice find!

They got everything from the Flash before their specials to that little delay. Now I kinda want Viper and CapCom in MVC3 together

I made this a few weeks after sf4 vanilla came out but now with super and then alt 2 costume for C. Viper something else popped up. She now has shoulder pads( kinda a stretch) and a star badge like commando. http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/7708...
