Haha Nice job team Cali, way to represent. Would have been cool if Sanford had at least like Yipes on his team or something. Nice matches either way.

It gets really easy to undestand yes. It is fast but not impossible to udnerstand, when u stat to get the meaning of the attack, defence, runnaway, calling assist,m protecting assist, u see that its not that hard to get at all and is really tecnichal and good the game.
Apparently this was supposed to be Team west vs Yipes but yipes got drunk and couldn't play.
Also from what I've read none of the players themselves put up the 24k it was from other people betting on the match.
Too bad for sanford I was rooting for him. First getting eliminated early in ssf4 and this. At least he got 2nd in marvel finals I guess... that's something.
Don't worry Johnson, when I started watching MvC2, I was confused as hell. Play the game yourself, learn about the different teams, what they do, and the different infinites and 100% combos.
It gets much easier the more you play, but what you're watching now is pretty hardcore.
dang they tore this hoe up. did he really think he could put away 4 top tier west coast players?
I STILL find it hard to believe people take this game that seriously. When it boils down to it, the MVC2 meta game comes down to the random factor all too often.
I don't know sanford seemed like he was choking bad, I mean he made some weird decisions in those matches and it always ended in either his third assist getting KO'd or his sent vs their Storm.
But I think the biggest reason why he was defeated is because of his emotions. It seemed like he was distracted. Sanford is a phenominal player but he has to get his emotions under control and FOCUS or he will never win consistant matches againts top players like these in any game. Im not MvC2 player and even I could see some holes in his defense.
Maybe it was the fiasco at the tournament that had his head messed up but I've seen this guy play and to be honest the odds were againts Team West coast, I think he was distracted and flustered.
Menatlly defeated.
Well none those West coast guys won the MvsC2 at Evo and that's where it counts. Kinda felt sorry for Sandford.
From my understanding the guys from Empire put up majority of the cash but not everything. Plus the guys from West Coast put the majority themselves without a backer. But you never know what to really trust as people tend to talk, but this is what I've been hearing majority of the time. Would make sense since Team West Coast could divide the cost of 12k amongst the 4 of them.
@16 If it boils down to random factors then why do you always see the same faces in the top of ever tourney for MVC2?
Westcoast got a Coupon for Kelly SanFree Sanford.
you know this shi*t just got real if u fight to MGS3 music
its gatta be a mind f*ck when ur all by urself fighting 4 trash talkers on a team....
from the videos it looked like he threw the match thats just me tho
I never said it was ALL random, I meant that once you completely understand the meta game in MVC2 & concentrate on purely the 6 characters of Magneto, Sentinel, Storm, Cable, Cap. Commando, Psylocke matchups after every single of the "same faces" using the same strategy with these same characters when all that is understood by the people who have time to study & practice it to death, it all comes down to 30% skill to pull off the hits & movement & 70% randomness of the one stray hit or assist that connects & leads to the infinite/winning hyper combo.
Am I the only one, aside from Sturmgiest, thats kind of tired of seeing the same characters played in MvC2, it should just be called X-men with Cap. Commando. DOnt get me wrong, i respect the high level of play, but id like to see more things like that guy was doing with Strider at evo. But then again thats just me :/
is it just me... or is santrax too black to be seen on camera?
Holy crap, these people take this game personally haha. These people were like "f-you that, f**got that, s**t that. I'm glad the fact I still consider gaming as a hobby and not a profession.
Wooo! Thanks for the videos!
