The Super Complete Pack for Super Street Fighter 4 was released on Xbox Live and it should be available fairly soon on the PlayStation Network.| Akuma | Cammy | Chun-Li | C. Viper | Dan | Dee Jay | Dudley | Gouken | Guy | Hakan | Ken | Makoto | Rose | Ryu |
You can find one image each of all of the new outfits here. Finally they address the whole "Capcom iz taeking ur monies" thing.
It's not like they're spending it on strippers, or at least the majority of it.
Good, maybe if enough people buy this it'll go towards the new characters being developed. That way they can just add them in a patch instead of charging lol Not that I wouldn't pay for new characters though. I mean, it's just like paying for an update to a fighting game that mainly just adds new chars, except most company's charge full price for those!
so will the costumes pack i bought help subsidise championship mode for SSF4 thats what most people want BRING BACK CHAMPIONSHIP MODE
I just bought these and i'm happy.. only thing i wish they would have done was make the 11th and 12th color available with this package :( i reaaaaaaly want thsoe colors without having to rent or purchase sf4... and i cant download and transfer an xbox 360 save :(
IJUST BOUGHT THEM!!!! and then it took 24 mins to realize i must install them....
@ #10 & 12 - i'm gonna have to stop that facepalm and raise and *OBJECTION* pheonix wright style. I got my xbox after ssf4 came out otherwise i would have had sf4
Question:
If you already received/purchased one of the SSF4 alt. costume packs, can you just pay for the complete pack and receive the rest?
I remember reading somewhere during the vanilla days that you had to buy them individually if you already had one alt. costume pack before the complete pack released...
Might just be me. LOL
I bought this today, it was a great deal, but it took forever, I guess they wanted to wait for the 3 month anniversary or something.
At championship mode was lame, it was all about grinding like WOW, and people who get too upset for losing large amount of points liked it too since you never really lost points. Championship mode did not show skill at all, it mainly showed how much you play the game.
Glad it went back into the game. Seriously I know people are quick to be like "THEY ARE LINING THEIR POCKETS WITH OUR MONEY!" But it's going back into the game and if it's $18, I work I spend that much on lunch 2-3 days a week. I'm not gonna cry about and if anything it's just going to go back into other things for the game. Anyone know if you can still buy the original pack and use it for SSFIV?
Yeah like why didn't Sven or Seth connect the "buying DLC costumes helps put money back into the game" dots for most of us before? This would have sounded much more convincing (even though it was still kinda obvious).
In any case costumes are still expensive so i will hold on for them to release the even newer ones to see if prices go down or if a better package comes along
As far as I understand, on the PSN if you buy one of the individual packs, it hides the complete pack from you, because they don't want you purchasing the same content again accidentally.
I believe there are still ways to buy the complete pack on PSN though, in this scenario.
I am not buying those atm, but i will sure buy the pc version if they finally make it, and then if they have kept the "modding" friendly mojo on costumes i'll buy their alt pack to enjoy the community's creativity at its fullest.
I very much appreciate how they make core upgrade/update as cheap as possible and make you pay only for the luxury extras. But i really hate how they scorn the PC platform, it buries XBOX360/PS3 single handedly on any level. Not developping the best games on the best and widest spread gaming platform is just so ridiculous.
yes piratings, it is always the same served story.
now the PC game still was a best seller on the platform, so heck about how much poeple tried it illegally, it is all about online anyways. I know I didn't.
now if you take the numbers :
The industry is always keen on whining about "stealing intelectual property" but on the other hand they have very little concerns about selling it thrice, why should you buy a bluray fulll price when you already have the dvd and vhs, why should people having the game on PS3 have to buy it again full price if they want to play it on the XBOX, and/or again on the PC. one connot use the same argument to back up 2 conflicting point of views.
So as far as I have read here and there :
1 guy out of two who got the "warez" already had it on at leaast another platform.
1 out of 6 used the warez for about a week and didn't really get hooked, they would much likely never have tried the game if they had had to pay for it upfront.
1 out of 6 used the warez for about 2 month, got hooked playing the single player content and bought the game to enjoy the online.
So basically out of all the warez copy announced you can remove 5/6 to get the actual loss in terms of game sales. it still is a sad number given how capcom has a very nice marketting policy selling their game cheaper than their fellow and having them very well polished compared to their fellow. But it is not how bad as people imagine.
If capcom want to try something else, i suggest they release the game
for free (yes you read it )
with only 2 colors and one costume for each character,
unlockable characters/feats not unlockable and unplayable by humans but used by cpu in arcade mode,
online play restricted to 5 "players matches" per week. and have people who really enjoyed what they ve got their hands on shake the money to unlock the game to it's fullest potential.
@33 I'm in the same boat. I got the free pack and it's showing "No content found" when I search it down and select it. After doing some reading I think you can Delete the Game Data to get rid of the DLC and retain your achievements and trophies. Then pay for the Complete Pack and install the dlc and the game. Going to try it when I get home.
Well a friend of mine told me the solution for those who have a single pack already from the preorder.
1) You basically make a new user.
2) Then after that make a new PSN account.
3) Buy complete pack on new account.
4) Log back into old account and it is still there.
Just tried it and it works. GG PSN fix your shiz.
It seems a little cheeky when you download this and the file is only about 500kb when it says prior to purchase that it's 18Mb in size. Seems like another unlock for the disc which is very cheeky Capcom but because I enjoy SSFIV quite a bit I will let it slide.
Still, the £13.99 price point for all of the costumes will put most people off until it becomes cheaper. Guess they're betting on early advocates like myself.
#42 They've already addressed why they do this. If it wasn't already included on the disc, then we'd see blank textures or something if we hadn't purchased the costumes but our opponent did.
Either way, the price is way too high. Heck, you can probably guy the entire game used for a little more.
well. $18 may seem like a lot. but if your a playstation plus subscriber.. we get a discount for it..its only $5.99... so i am definately picking this up=P. yay for playstion plus:)
Nice!
