WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?!?!?!?!
*Cries frantically
@13: Actually, despite popular belief, not everyone has an extra $300 laying around to buy random video game systems. PC's get a very respectable amount of titles each year, and fighting games are just one of the genres that don't have much traction on the system yet.
A recording of Ono's discussion panel from comic-con was posted on gametrailers. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/sdc...
Anyone else think it was unnecessary to announce the game so early?
We are already looking forward to MvC3 and potential updates to Super. They should have held in their back pocket to generate later when it dies a little.
I've spent ~$1200 on computer hardware in the last 5 or so years.
Granted, my computer is also the source of significant income for me, and I wouldn't be able to make that income without a decent computer. It just so happens that good multimedia machines also run games well. 360's/PS3's can't do that. No penny of that $1200 has been spent with solely gaming in mind.
@#23
Exactly. I pay maybe $200 extra for a better video card (hard to say a meaningful amount in dollars, prices are very different in my country), but apart from that not a single thing in my computer was bought with games in mind, but for personal/professional use. In this regard, it's a much cheaper gaming investment than a console.
@Jarkyatta
The thing is with the extra 700$ that I don't spend on games I can get a decent laptop or PC with a waicom tablet.
I can make a living and have a dedicated gaming system with $1200 dollars.
and your forgetting that the features of playing blu-rays, surfing the net and such on my PS3.
I don't need to really argue specifics, but I got the minimum amount that I figured I needed to effectively do what I need to do for my graphic design and multimedia needs. That includes 2 monitors, a decent MoBo, graphics card, etc, and a medium Intuos4. I'm not a student anymore, so I had to pay full price for everything.
But more to the point, I don't want to sacrifice power for my computer in order to afford a gaming machine which I will use for 1-2 games. I see nothing wrong with people who don't want to buy PS3/360's advocating for PC ports. Our advocation does exactly nothing to hurt the rights or enjoyment of people who play on consoles. I use a PC and when I do game, I like to game on my PC. If Capcom ported SSFIV to PC, they would get my $40. If they ported SFxT, they might get my $60, but that's way up in the air at this point. All the figures regarding pirating are largely exaggerated and purposefully misleading.
PC blows. nuff said. they dont sell to people who wont buy.
and am i the only one noticing the screen shot of Ryu parrying Jin's kick. or is that the new way a block is gonna look?
They all redirect me to screenshot 1. o.O
