Im glad it's 3rd strike and an official time when the charactes will be known for SSF4 arcade.
My only hope besides good netcode for this is that they rebalance the damn thing. Chun and Yun are the most powerful characters on there almost and everyone is just gonna use them only. It won't be fun really even on a competitive level. Im hoping they are taking that into consideration since it's called "online edition" we'll see.

1. Does anyone actually want this?
2. Do we really need another fighter on the horizon? It's great that fighting games are having a revival period, but the quickest way to kill that is to over-saturate the market. We had SFIV, then Super4, and now we've got Super4 Arcade, Marvel VS Capcom 3, Third Strike Online, and two versions of Street FIghter X Tekken on the horizon. Seems like a little much to me, especially since no one seems to really care about SF X Tekken

Well, this is going to be intersting, but by looking at ryu's model, it looks like were justing getting tekken 6 characters in SSFIV form, with the others, basiclly were getting DLC for both games (SSFIV and T6)

I'm salty. Evo seemed like the perfect time to release DLC characters, but they delayed it. They had a panel at Comic-Con specifically for Super Street Fighter IV and revealed two blank slots, but they delayed it. All the other announcements are well and good, but this just left a bad taste in my mouth. They "might" get revealed two months from now? I stayed up overnight for this panel, true talk. I looked at so much porn trying to kill time until 3:00.
I'm putting on some earbuds and listening to Rolento's Alpha 3 theme while I drift off to sleep.

I think this is good, at least they are taking there time with it and not rushing, it would be dumb to release this game the same year as MvC3 which eveyone is hyped for. They need time for this. I think it's cool but im jus tnot excited. Im so much more hyped for MvC3 now. I have to see this game in action so when there is some gameplay footage then i'll judge. As a fan of both series for a long time, I'm REALLY excited about these projects. I think the Capcom version is in good hands & I'm VERY curious to see how the Namco version will work. I hope we don't have another Street Fighter EX!

I gotta say I'm more excited about SF X Tekken than I am for MvC3, but that's simply because I'm more of a SF type player than an MvC player. At this point I'm most likely going to pick up MvC3 and see how that goes since SF X Tekken probably won't be out until 2012 at the earliest.

Too many fighting games. Let's space them out a bit! One every year is crazy, they are oversaturating the market now.
SSF4 just came out, BlazBlue is coming next week, MvC3 next year, SF x Tekken and Tekken v SF, Mortal Kombat 9, a new version of 3rd Strike.
While these games are all awesome, it's just too many at the general time period. The FGC pretty much came together for SSF4, but is now going to split with all of this new stuff coming out. We won't be seeing 2000 people for SSF4 again next year.

sf x tekken is probably going to be released winter 2011. tekken vs sf on the other hand will be 2012. if tekken 6 was any indicator, namco's version will take it's sweet ass time for a more polished game, hopefully.

The proof that it won't be any market oversaturation is right here in all the comments. Some people are excited about SFxT, some people don't give a sh*t, some people look forward to MvC3 some people don't, some want 3S, so everyone is gonna buy whatever they like the best and everyone's gonna be happy.
Like I said, even if you don't give a rat ass about Tekken or 3S this is a great time to be a fighting game fan because there'll be a LOT of great fighting games in the future to choose from. :D

I'd rather have SF vs Mortal Kombat than SF vs Tekken. So they are going to release two new games, SF vs Tekken and Tekken vs SF, which to me is oversaturating the market with fighting games. You're not expanding the consumer base if you're releasing two games that cater to each community (2D and 3D fighting).
3D fighting folks will stick to Tekken vs Street Fighter, while 2D fighting folks will stick to Street Fighter vs Tekken. I thought it was weird that they decided to mix characters from different fighting game styles. Street Fighter vs Tekken is pretty much the next edition of Street Fighter with a bunch of new characters from Tekken franchise since it's still based on Street Fighter gameplay and engine. And Tekken vs Street fighter is just the next Tekken with a bunch of Street Fighter characters added. I guess it requires less creativity to come up with new characters.

I don't understand, though. If they're using the SF4 engine, it might be alright. I'd hope it's the same price as SSF4 though.
I'm worried that all of the Tekken characters will play the same. Because let's face it... In Tekken, the main point of the game is to juggle your opponent for half their health. No fireballs, or anything. It's because of the different engines. Perhaps the Tekken characters in SFxT will get some colourful unblockable attacks?

Because one game may potentially appeal to both fans, MK fans and SF fans. When you release two games, one in 2D and one in 3D, you are keeping the community segregated. Think about it, will the majority of 3D fighting fans actually pick up 2D Street Fighter x Tekken? Highly unlikely. Likewise, will the majority of 2D fighting fans actually pick up 3D Tekken x Street Fighter? Highly unlikely. The majority of each community will likely stay within their own genre. A SF vs MK game is within the same genre. Capcom didn't face this problem with Capcom vs Marvel because Marvel never really had its own fighting game franchise.

You are incorrect in understanding my logic. MvC3 has its own engine and gameplay, not based on any other franchise's gameplay engine.
Honestly folks if they're going to introduce an entirely different gameplay engine for Street Fighter x Tekken like they did with Capcom vs Marvel, then GREAT. Street Fighter x Tekken will have something to claim for itself and can stand on its own. But based on all the news, reports, and video above, it looks no different than Super Street Fighter 4 with DLC of Tekken characters and tag team.
I agree that it's way too early for them to be releasing gameplay footage because all it looks like is adding Tekken characters to Super Street Fighter 4's game. They should have held off the announcement until next year's EVO or E3 with an actual developed gameplay engine that is distinct from what we already have.

On the side news, MvC3 is nice but is nothing compare to this crossover. Capcom will be done before Namco, but will probably wait to release at the same time as Namco... which is exactly what Harada means by "let's see who is better".
Personally, I am a lot more interested into SF4 vs Tekken than even MvC3. On the other hand, I still want to get a PC version of SF4... but I don't see it happening ever since Capcom is so busy now =(

HOLY FCUK! This game looks badass. Day one purchase all the way with pre-order and what ever collectors edition to boot. I loved the tag in aspect and the character models look great. I was actually very skeptic as to how Capcom would translate the NAMCO characters but this looks better than anything I could've hoped for.

Something interesting to take note of :
Both Capcom and Namco could take this into completely different directions. The games will probably be too different from SSF4 and Tekken, so they won't interfere, or won't be seen as "SSFIV with new characters".
I'm fairly certain that SF x T will NOT have the same characters as T x SF, so it just be a difference in fighting engines,
If you look closely at the new trailer, check the background, 2 things should be interesting:
- Ryu is pulling off links he can't do in SSFIV (standing fierce linking with standing roundhouse), I think it will be easier for SF characters to combo in this game, due to Tekken's combo/juggle aspect.
- a wrecked Servbot (Capcom) head
- another fight in the distance (a little poke at Mortal Kombat? Pit stage reference?)
Story line (which is gonna prove interesting) could be as follows, the "evil" Tekken characters invaded the SF Universe, and are wreaking havoc, which is why we see a busted up Servbot. Kazuya & Nina are considered the "bad" characters of Tekken, along with chars such as Lee, Devil Jin, Heihachi and Bryan, while Ryu & Chun-Li are the good ones in SF. This could be the case for SF x T.
Alternatively, T x SF could have T's good guys (Paul, Law, Asuka, Yoshimitsu) vs SF's bad guys (Bison, Vega, Sagat, Seth, Urien, Balrog, Akuma) who are invading the Namco territory.
Either that or it's my inner fanboy talking, and the Servbot is just coincidence :)
Capcom has a history of backgrounds giving hints about characters & storylines (look at MvsC)
Just think about this; there has to be a lot more different between the 2 games except for a difference in engine, because both producers want to make sure THEIR game sells, Namco wants SF fans to pick up their game, and Capcom wants Tekken fans to pick up Capcom's game.
They want to establish these games as a seperate project from their regular trademark series, so thinking you can pitch any SF characters vs any T character, doesn't look realistic to me.
Do not expect this game to feature 80-100 characters, I think 35-40 is a realistic number, and the roster will be different for both games, in order to make people pickup both games, win-win for both Capcom & Namco.
Just thinking about loud, not saying I'm right.. but there's a possibility.

Unlike the majority.. I am sure this game will be amazing. You were all wondering how would Tekken characters deal with fireballs.. Kazuya just demonstrated one way they will. If anything, that is exactly how dudley deals with projectiles. I mean long ago, I am sure some people were thinking that x-men fighting against street fighter would not be such a great idea and yet, many years later, it has become one of the most recognized crossovers in gaming today. Many did not think that Tatsunoko fighting Capcom would be good but, it its weird way, proved that it could work out just fine. I know my words will continue to fall short but has the majority of the fighting game community's mindset so limited that you must feel that change will forever be a bad thing... until you see more than about 45 seconds worth of video, could it be possible to be hopeful first? And if not... why must you waste your time putting this game down... I mean in a way, it is not even a game just yet.. it has been brought to flesh but still has a long way to go before it can go anywhere. And its not like you all have not gotten what you wanted for the most part anyway... You all have your SSFIV balance issues with potential additional patches that for the most part cater to your complaints.. You are getting more characters, You are even getting your beloved 3rd strike with online play in the not too distant future.. and also Mvc3 enough said.
So there is something for everyone. A fighting game for everyone's taste... and if none of these interest you... There are countless titles of games you can choose from... and it does not even have to be a fighting game.
I guess it would be too much to ask for.. for just once, peoplle could kind of lend their support to a company who hs tried their best to universally make the masses happy for 15-20 years. I would say that if these games that they spend their lives on making do not make you happy in any shape or form.. then why not put yourself through the hell they have been through all this time.. Take the classes, master the art.... Make one of your own.. and see how the public takes to it... Maybe perhaps then... their work and ideas can be appreciated.

The standing link isnt a link, it's Ryus 3rd Strike Target Combo. This game seems to play a lot more like 3rd Strike than SFIV, considering things like the juggle state, the turnback state, wall bounces, and comboing from normals.

At least it hasn't reached FPS levels. Now THAT'S saturation right there.
I've been waiting for this crossover since I first played Tekken in 1995! I LOVE the characters of both series, so this really is a dream come true.
^This its no where near as bad as sports and FPS who come out by the truck loads a still sell well. its not the fact that it takes time to learn each one but the money your will ing to put down for it. People said sf4 sucked and didn't want to by that either guess what happened then it sold like crack to crack heads.

Dhalsim and Seth will be a nightmare for the Tekken cast. I hope they put True Orge and Dr Bosconovitch in the game.
Its good that they didn't just announce it without any footage. They'd better release MvsC3 quickly because I'm starting to lose hype in a game that I was looking forward to.

I don't see how this is SF4 but with Tekken DLC, from what the gameplay shows it looks like it has Speed of the VS series and by telling when Ryu kicked Kazuya into the wall it was a wall bounce like from the VS series and the impact blows that they were giving each other has a tekken feel to it, so I think we shouldn't be so fast to judge it.

I'm glad to see this isn't an endless-juggle-lameness like Tekken 6. Actually I've become a little hyped after seeing the action-gameplay, hopefully they leave out the stupid animal-characters (bear/jaguar).
Capcom should allow 2vs2/3vs3/4vs4 parties, which can fight against each other during the same round, instead of waiting in the line/spectator mode.
The only problem realizing this, could be online-lag/input-syncronization for 4++ players at the same time.

Why is that the more I see the gameplay footage, the more I am reminded of Real Bout Fatal Fury 2's gameplay.
I mean, seriously, even the crossover attack that Ryu and that Tekken person (I don't know his name, I don't play 3d fighting games/juggle fests) did reminded me of the combos you can do in that game like Terry's P,P,S, into his P-super or Rick's K,K,S, into his P-super.

excited.... i can see possible storylines for this too... heihachi looking to harness the 'evil' powers from sf universe (dark hadou, physco power) m.bison looking to control the mashima corporation or something.. wonder if they will have a crossover type boss like cvs2 did with the oorochi+dark hadou versions of rugal and akuma?? devil hadou kuzuya or akuma. dnt give it to heihachi tho cause its too fun to watch him try... guess all is left is the now i suppose routine character roster reveals... with mvc3 ssf4 and now sfXt its going to b like... For everyone who keeps asking stupid questions like how will tekken characters deal with fireballs please stop. Understand that capcoms version will be their vision of what the tekken cast would be like In the capcom world. In other words some of the tekken cast will get projectiles to balance out the game. For those complaining about the graphics engine why? In the mid 90's the capcom fighters had the same graphics engine but they all had their own gameplay and this will be no different. I'm sure this will be more technical so don't be surprised to see the parry return and I wouldn't be shocked if the cast is made up with more of the classic characters from both sides.

wow this game is amazing!! gameplay is good so far!!idk why everybody is hating on tekken?!! i like both games and grew up with both. i gotta say it looks pretty dopee but i wonder if some of the tekken chars are going to have there counters? if so dang sf fighters going to have some trouble with that especially if they have multi grabs like king woooo abel gotta watch out lol. i respect both companies it would be cool if it was namco vs capcom, but maybe this is just a stepping stone towards that to see how the fans would react to it. like they made x-man vs street fighter then next thing you know marvel vs capcom came out, so you never know whats next. what you think?

I personally think it looks cool so far, but too early. We got a ton of fg's coming out: Blazblue CS, MvC 3, Tekken 7 (said to be in production), 3rd Strike Online, Mortal Kombat 9, and now this. They are from different companies, but I think it's gonna hurt us in the long run. We might end up being in a drought until a next big game is out.

Well for me this is actually nice. I've allways wanted to try tekken on a 2d viewpoint and now I will be able to. You got to remember that Tekken will move in to the Street fighter Engine so it's really Street fighters win in this.

5-6 different fighting games isn't really over-saturation as long as they are a set of great 5-6 games. Just like FPS is good with COD, halo, killzone, battlefield, etc...

oh dear we got more! game looks sick its like an extended version of sf4 series with a little twist. good idea. sf4 with more of the vs game feel to it. looks like the cut corners with certain obvious things but I dont mind that makes it easy to pick up and i'm more than happy with the sf4 gameplay!

something tells me this will be liked more overseas.....
I'm hesitant about the game seeing as how I like SSF4 for its pace of gameplay and MvC3 for it's over the top action and speed, so I'm not sure where this one fits in for pace, but o well, we will see, it's sink or swim on this one, I don't think there is an inbetween

Hmmm... It makes me wonder how many people are eating their words that this game would never ever see the light of day. Even if the cancelled it, just the fact that the demo showed its possible is enough to humble those who doubted its creation.
On a side note, the mad catz fightstick I purchased seems to be pretty nice. I am no pro but I am getting quite a hang of it now.

instead of making those no wanted cross over games, work in SSF4, they could easily add some tekken fighters in dlc, no need to make another game.

add new stages
add new characters
add new alt customs
maybe another ultra

I think this is a project of passion from developers of both Capcom and Namco, so just adding DLC would not do it justice. Plus there is that Tag element.
Ono himself paid tribute to Namco for holding up the fort for fighting games during the Street Fighter vacuum. The developers have respect for one another, and are even buddies, I think they would be surprised at all the venom down at the fanboy level.
I really look forward to both games. Sales may or may not be stellar, but this is huge in terms of fighting game history.

I do not care what the three hundo comments above me have to say, this title looks so dope. Good job fighting community, while the Mahvel crew is playing that tatsunoko style MvC3, and the old heads are jerking off to 3S coming out. I'll keep my eyes on this, the last cross developer franchise Capcom did was one of my favorite titles to date, CvS2, hopefully this can follow suit.

Wow so much hate! I honestly think it looks cool and plays like sfiv with new features what's not to like unless you hate sfiv or tekken. I got a feeling the namco version won't be as cool though. I'm glad it's just tekken and not the whole namco characters. From the video it looks like kazuya and Nina translated fine. It's still early though so anything can change. I guarantee this will make money though and the haters will end up playing and buying it anyway.

look at ryu when he gets up from a nock down from kazuya. He rolls foward and jumps towards you and does DP. That roll is from Tekken. Tag mode is from Tekken tag. Target chain combos are added from 3rd strike because tekken will use target combos. If you play tekken you will see some tekken elements in there too. SF and Tekken are both my favorite fighting games. I grew up with those 2 :P Been waiting for something like this. I though Soul calibur vs tekken was going to happen at one point because of yoshimitsu and heihachi being in soul calibur. BUT DAMN! SF VS TKN you got to love it!

I do enjoy both tekken (tekken tag is great and has terrific mechanics imo) and sf in both their own games, but the fact that they are making separate development titles for this title kinda rubs me the wrong way. Like seeing tekken fighters actually jump and not "tekken jump" should be interesting, it's a whiles away and I'm sure the developers will think long and hard about this before just spitting something out, so yeah, I'm excited but really cautioned at the same time

Well, I'm glad there is a wave of fighting games coming out, we need to get people back into it, amidst all the first person shooters, rpgs, god of wars, lost planets, kinect, ps move, this is better news than all. They are different but familiar which makes it cool, it's not like we have to sit down forever and figure out how to throw a hadoken or do a dragon punch, we know it, now we just kick the crap out of the tekken players, I like tekken but I grew up with SF Series since part 2 came out

Well I would assume many would think that because on ther versus series, they may have retained their moves from there game but they were tweaked to capcom's mechanics.. So it's pretty much like playing with other street fighter characters who just happen to have SNK like attributes.
But I think there should be more gameplay footage and even some people testing it to see if street fighter truly rapes tekken or vice versa.
If you want to throw it out there... to be fair... in mvc2... I do not recall a single capcom character making top ten in the tier listings... so is it safe to say Marvel "rapes" Capcom?

I understand what you mean... They can not stand two great fighters settle a score that will probally never end. Instead of have verbal debates... they are finally giving you a chance to somewhat officially settle the score. They did it with Marvel, They did it with SNK, heck they even did it with Tatsunoko. Just let dreams come true without complaining. As I stated before... to all the people that put game ideas like this down before its even really gotten off the ground... learn how to make your own game and show us all how the crossovers should really be done. To be honest MALDA... I could care less what Ryu does lol. He can hadoken all day but has he ever really solidified the top tier position? Not to my knowledge. He is the basic fighter in everything and he will continue to stay that way.
From what I saw of the small gameplay, with the exception of his special, he did not do any real connecting with his actual fireball. I will give you credit.. Capcom is a master when it come to creating fighting games but even masters have their bad moments... Where they have made good games, they in turn have made crappy ones as well. So like all fighting games from different companies... they have had their good and bad points.
But I guess at the end of the day, there will always be the haters of the fighting game world.
Not that I am wishing this on you in any way... but be careful... I recall a certain Justin Wong eating his words when he believed that Adon was bad... I am just saying to you.. Be careful what you say. You might one day play this game and you migt one day get destroyed, and it just might very well be a tekken character and it just very well might be Panda.

What would be even more ironic is that if Daigo dumps Ryu for a Tekken character... Pretty much as seen... If what others say are true... Where in any of my satements did I say I wanted Tekken to be top tier? Never. And I never stated that I wanted Street Fighter to be tops either. I would greatly appreciate it if you did not put words in my mouth. As for Ono, he could care less who is top tier and who isn't. If it were up to him, someone like R. Mika would be top tier or even Blanka. So its not his choice to see who is top, its just how the character is built and balances out that makes him/her top.

And there are a great number of people from the street fighter community who really do not have this big of a problem with the Tekken crossover.. I guess over the years you just learn to deal and move on. There will always be something you do not like but complaining your heart out will not alter the reality that you are about to live in. You might as well get use to people who like Tekken being on this site and other sites similar to this because you will all in a way have a common interest. But meh whatever. Street Fighter is loved but... if the other fighting games did not get any love like SF did... did why does Evo add games like Tekken and Melty Blood.. as well as other major fighting game tournaments... Because they do not care what the game is. Fighting games are fighting games. All are good in their own ways. If they truly favored them the most they would not have removed 3rd strike for Melty and would have put something like Alpha or EX in place of Tekken.. but that did not happen did it.

I think you have it wrong... I do not think any of these fighting games kneel to anyone. If that were the case, they would be long gone and given up to SF years ago, but as you can see, here they are. Just as strong, just a popular, and on the same stages that SF is on. I has Street Fighter guides in it I am well aware of that but many of these people on this site do not live and breathe it.. The reason why it owns Evo MALDA is because it was originally just a SFII tourney and nothing more. And SSFIV sold for many reasons, its cheap, and its beginner friendly. Flashy bright colors do not hurt the sell either.

I hated the idea of this game, but after seeing the gameplay video I think it has potential. Those tag Ultras were pretty awesome.
It is gonna be weird to see how Tekken characters deal with fireballs, though >_>.

@Dethscythe It is no problem at all. I just find it a waste how people speak down of fighting game ideas and yet do nothing of their own. I figure if you are to claim this game sucks and this one is much better, then put your money where your mouth is and see if you can make a masterpiece of a fighting game. I am sure the majority will fail. Not because their ideas are bad, but because like MALDA, there will always be people who will not like your hard work and effort. I just wish he could see that and show a bit more respect to other fighting franchises.

this game will be awesome, they integrated the tekken roll and kazuya did sidestep to avoid those fireballs so it has elements from Tekken. Capcom will do a great job as usual.

Tekken Characters are bad because Tekken fight system Sucks.
If they are merged into a SF mechanic they could be awesome/better than some SF Characters for sure.
Remember Heihachi in SoulCalibur 2 PS2, his gameplay was completely different than in the Tekken games, way funnier to play imo. Tekken Characters will fit very well in the SF4 Engine. Its like if they announced like 20 new characters.
Thing is it will sureley won`t be SuperSF4 vs Tekken so they`ll throw away some cool SSF4 Characters and trade em for Tekken ones..
But from what we saw, they may also upgrade/add some gameplay elements that may improve the gameplay.

Gameplay looks pretty awesome (if you're a SF fan :)) The only thing I really hope for it's not like another Capcom Fighting Evoultion game. I was hyped about the game when I saw the screen shots (thought it was another CvS game) and trailer then when the game came out, it was a total disappointment. Same goes for Tekken X SF when Tekken develops their game. When Snk vs Capcom: SvC Chaoes came out (SNK's version of their vs game) that bombed big time. Just have to see what happens during the next two years or so. I doubt they'll release both game at the same time.

Plus imagine the character selection screen with all SSF4 and Tekken characters. It won't possibly fit. I predict Ono and Tekken's team will add characters that are played the most on both sides at tourneys.

To all you Tekken fans out there,
Tekken is horrible, this will be the best Tekken has ever been. Why? Because Capcom is creating this game. The 2D version of Street Fighter X Tekken will also be the better version of the game and the only one worth anything in this crossover... Why? Because it's being made by Capcom. The 3D one will be horrible, it's really going to be a travesty to see the Street Fighters in a 3D fighting engine, playing heavy and not being able to jump more than a foot off the ground. Oh yeah, and The SF characters will own every Tekken character. Sure, some of the Tekken characters might be top tier material, but thats never concrete enough anyway. It depends on how YOU play as these characters. No Tekken character will ever be able to beat M. Bison though. Capcoms version of this game will be good and I can't wait to start wrecking Tekken characters as my favorite SF characters on a 2D plane...where all fighting games belong.

I guess Tekken is too hard for some of these people lol. Atleast have the balls to admit it. Or give me reasons as to why you say its bad other than it sucks. Is it because you can't hold down back to block everything? Or are there too many moves for your minds to process? Or the match ups that daunting for you cause each character has more than three moves? Or is it because you can't stay back all day fireballs all day instead you always to be in your opponents face? Am I somewhat in the ball park here? I'm just curious.
Yet again I remember what site I'm on lol. I know that I'll have the satisfaction of beating everyone with Tekken characters. Fireballs don't mean anything lol.

Who aren't even luchadors, bob, who's a rip off of an already horrible capcom character.) I don't need to go any further with how generic and uninspired your precious Tekken characters are. What else sucks about it aside from crap characters? Oh, a plethora of moves for each character... Which no one uses because they just spam the same move over and over again. I don't know if you could even call them moves either as they're just a series of button taps. Unrealistic juggling. I love knocking someone in the air and then comboing their feet for eternity, don't you?

Just LOOK at how Tekken plays. Look at the movement of the fighters, it's so stiff. The punches and kicks thrown look so bad, they really aren't crisp it looks very amateur. The jumping was only good in the 1st Tekken. After that it got really heavy and useless. Don't try to talk smack about street fighter when it's clearly the better franchise. Did anyone watch the Tekken segment of EVO 2010. I tried my best but it was putting me to damn sleep. BORRRRRING! BORRRRING! Just for extra confirmation go watch the finals match of Tekken at EVO this year. Then watch the SF Finals. As a matter of fact get ANY Tekken fight and I'll guarantee I can find 100 better SF fights.

Ok then, not tht anyone would care but this is my opinion on the game: i kind of saw this coming a LONG time ago (around january). When i saw this, i said "finally a game to prove sf is way better than tekken!" Ok then tht was off-topic, back to my thoughts; i'm not going to say it looks bad but im not going to say i feel so hyped by this. This looks just like ssf4but just with added characters from a diff brand (they should add mule kick in ssf4 for ryu, and tht each input does wall bounce), i didnt think the fight was appropriate, it should of been ryu and jin and kazuya vs akuma. So far this looks decent to play, but i aint buyin it without a discount for owning ssfIV, the tekken version of this will probably be worse than this, but im a take the advice the trailer said, ill play mvc3 ;D

Juggles and characters you don't like. Stiff movement? Really? I can make the same argument against SF but, I won't do that because it wouldn't prove anything. Both games are fine to me since I play both. Both games have their share of lame characters. King is better than fuerte and I'd rather have Devil than Evil Ryu. Funny how opinions work. And a fact for you, Capcom imitated Bob with Rufus. Since Bob came first.
I never knew being realistic was something that important. I never knew people could throw fireballs, teleport, create electricity, stretch their limbs and all that. God forbid I can juggle someone by their feet.
I still love both games.

I think the match up with Ryu and kazuya is perfect. They are in the same level fighting wise. Jin is a punk. He should be matched up with Sakura. I love both worlds. And you really can't compare. It's like comparing a football player to a baseball player. Both sports but totally different. I think taken is more like a chess game, you need a little more thought to it. And street fighter is like guessing and reaction. But I see both games equally great and both have a learning curve. But as a fighting game players we should learn how to adapt and learn new things and different styles of playing. Not be hater. We are a fighting game community!

lol at #506 u dont kno what ur talkin about. most of the ppl that are trolling tekken cant play ssf4 either. while this has notin to do with gameplay, i just want to let everybody know that tekken is the best sellling fighting game franchise ever. tekken 6 is the #1 arcade fighting game in japan. tekken 6 was the 2nd biggest tournament turn out in evo. tekken(and soul calibur) kept the fighting game genre alive and street fighter brought the hype back. most ppl who bash tekken cant really explain why. it obivious that their knowledge in fighting games is limited. u still have to use basic fighting games fundamentals in tekken. pokein, spacin, punishing whiffs, and knowing what moves are safe n wat isnt. im not a huge tekken fan but i love seein high level tekken play. im glad that street fighterxtekken is happaning.

In the back of my mind, I figured, Capcom and Namco were going to make a Tekken vs. Street Fighter crossover video game. I think its beautiful Yoshinori Ono the creative geniuous behind Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4 is teaming up with Namco's finest fighting series Tekken to bring Street Fighters best fighters against Tekken's best fighters. In, 2012 its going to be on "The King Of Iron Fist Tournament" meets "The World Warriors" in an all out battle. Chun-Li I might post a Wallpaper of Tekken vs. Street Fighter Capcom is developing, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 I can't wait. Do, you want to see a Capcom vs. Snk 3 game I do. King/Lee and Vega/Guile will be my team, i can just imagine, lee doing the messed up leg kick sending the opponents skyward, followed up by a bloody high claw and insane combo by lee. Or Guile Flash Kick, followed by a insane king finisher followed up by sonic hurricane, or a rolling izuana followed by an insane king combo or lee launching the guy up followed up by double flash and then an insane combo by lee..

@craziryu plz get your facts straight before u run ur mouth. Tekken 6 isn´t the nr1 game in the arcade. Tekken 6 is the cheapest game to play in japan thats why arcadia list it as nr1.
2nd it isn´t the most selling franchise. SF II has sold more copies than any single game of tekken and mk has also sold moire than tekken. Tekken wasn´t the 2nd biggest tournament at evo it was hdr.
And tekken didn´t carry the fighting genre till SF IV was out it was basicly out and many other games like GG,VF and so on held the genre alive not tekken alone.
