More alternative costumes will be created for Super Street Fighter 4, and should be available in the fall time.• The blank character slots for Super Street Fighter 4's arcade version won't be revealed until the Tokyo Game Show in September.
• Upcoming alternative outfits will be based on past designs. Everyone will be receiving a new costume as well.
• Some of the early designs include: Rufus looking like a giant blueberry from Willy Wonka, Blanka wearing a giant feather cape, Ryu with long dark pants and a torn shirt.
• Capcom will have official tournaments for SSF4 called Capcom Cup Competitions utilizing Tournament Mode. This was talked about back when they originally announced tournament mode. They started running them in Japan yesterday, but will happen in all regions soon. You can win unique titles from these.
• The 3DS version of SSF4 will be aimed at "getting you out of the house," but further details were not made available.

It's safe to say that those two slots belong to Rolento and R.Mika just because Ono has been pushing those two that hardest. Thought Hugo has a strong chance of getting in. I wonder though, if there's going to be more than two characters added? And I honestly don't understand why people want Charlie?! HE IS DEAD! We see his grave in Guile's opening and ending! What makes you guys think he will come back?

As long as the 3DS version of SSFIV has good multiplayer options, training mode, all the characters from the latest version (i.e. Rolento & Elena) and the japanese voices, it will be enough. No gimmicky features needed. I'll probably have the 3D turned off most of the time.

Why would anyone want Charlie back? He's way too similar to Guile...gameplay wise he would be a waste of time. Remy would be more interesing to add than him. Don't get me wrong I prefer Charlie to Guile any day, but since Guile's already in, Charlie should be the LAST character they should add.
I think adding Rolento and Elena really would be the best of both worlds. One Alpha and one SFIII. Both are completely different from the rest of the cast both gameplay and design wise.
I would love to see Karin make her way in as well, she was my favorite from A3. As for a second SFIII character, I'd like to Alex. None of the character in SSFIV are really like him, with his interesting moveset(plenty of QCF, charge, & grab moves) and design...the closest is Abel, which already a big stretch.

There is really a high chance for Hugo because he is already featured in one of the backstages of SSF4.
Still I hope Rolento makes it this time, coz his fighting style is unique. We don't need more shoto/grappler clones... this is what alternative costumes are for.

I wonder who the second character besides Rolento is. Im pretty sure its R.Mika cuz he already pushed for her. I hope its charlie. I also hope its more than only two characters.
But i wonder, when the arcade hits the streets, are they gonna make the additional characters as DLC's for the home version?
more alt costumes, thats great. I hope Guile gets his cargo shorts and probably go topless like ryu's alt. He could even have a cool baseball cap facing backwards and a few silver rings. maybe even some black tribal tattoos. Hey but he would look insane if he had some long hair shaped like gotenks from DBZ. Maybe not as long but it sure would be cool.

I don't see how not wanting to spend $350+ for one game makes someone a cheapskate whiner. I bought a computer for digital design work, so it happens to work well for games, although I don't game much. If I bought an 360/PS3, the only game I'd buy/play would be SSFIV, including basically any game that has been announced thus far. I bought SFIV for $50 for my PC, and would very gladly spend $40 (or $50) on SSFIV.
You have to give up the preconceptions that 1.) All PC gamers are pirates and 2.) All pirates play the games they download. A majority of pirates download a massive amount of games and play them very little.
I'm glad you have an extra $250 to spend on one game if it's Wii-exclusive, but I don't.

I blame both the pirates and CAPCOM. Pirates for reasons I don't need to mention, and CAPCOM because they could have handled this better. Various figureheads in the company have sent mixed messages. Sven said that it was a company goal to have PC releases concurrent with console releases, and that delaying PC versions of a given game is NOT because of piracy but because said game is in development. But Ono said the lack of a PC version of SSF4 is because of piracy. One of them has to be full of s***, since they can't both be right. I just resent the discrimination and mealy-mouthed statements ("Nothing to announce"). I'd rather they just talked straight and said whether or not there'll be a PC version, than let us wonder. If it is all down to piracy why are other games of theirs being ported to PC?

@26 Isn't the 360 Arcade like $149 right now? And considering Super is only $40 at the most, you should be able to get SSFIV with a great player base for less than $200 if you order online from out of state...
I nearly spent that much on my EX-SA...
If you have a decent 360 stick that you bought to use for SFIV on your PC, you don't even need to worry about an arcade stick.

I dont use Charlie, Guile, Remy or any of those turtles, BUT if you dont know WHY people would want Charlie, regardless of him being dead in a cartoon ending/beggining, then you dont even belong on this site and know nothing about the real players who play SF.

This is my thought process when I think about adding new characters:
1. SF3 has a big fan base, the more SF3 characters the better.
2. Yun and Yang need to be added together, you can't have one or the other, you have to have both.
3. Karin is VERY popular, even J. Wong would like to see her in SSF4, put her in.
4. the characters introduce in SF4 (Juri, Hakan, Abel, Rufus, El Fuerte', Viper, Seth, and Gouken) seem like a small roster on there own. It would be nice to see some new characters, instead of adding older characters.
If I was Capcom, this is what I would do, I'd add a total of ten characters: 2 Alpha characters (Rolento and Karin) and 4-6 3 characters (Alex, Elena, Nerco, Sean, Yun and Yang) and 4-2 new guys (NINJA CLOWN!?!?) and has a bonus I might think about adding two of those characters for free as a promotion to get the rest of the cast.
Just my thoughts.
