Ono teasing multiple announcements for Saturday

Capcom's Yoshinori Ono stated he's going to reveal multiple things this Saturday at the Street Fighter MANIA! Super Street Fighter 4 and Beyond! Comic-Con panel, which runs for an hour.

Here are some of his latest Twitter messages.

I've been hearing of many rumors brewing up this week. Having said that, I have been tweeting to say I will announce something new.

I don't know if this 'something' is what the rumor says or what you had in mind.

I'm only sure of one thing. We will not disappoint.

Be at San Diego Comic-Con Room 25 ABC on Saturday at noon.

I'm not only announcing one new 'something'.

Nor just two.

But I would like to talk about a few of our recent endeavors.

@24: I've seen the pic your talking about, it's fake. The King in that picture is from a T6 screenshot that was used in the build up to T6's release. I'm kinda hoping capcom produces a game with tekken characters tht uses sf gameplay...

ono already made us pay for super and for the alt coustumes. i doubt the dlc chars are gunna have a price. they better be free and there better be more than 2. theres a double meaning to "Nor just 2". dont you think?

Knowing Ono and his use of English the "something" might just be a new character for SSF IV. When he says "not only announcing one new something. nor just two" again he could be talking about characters. Not just one, not just 2, more. Or it could be the 2 characters fitting in the mystery black slots on SSF IV plus 1 new game. Who knows, i just doubt it will be 2-3 new games, that's all

So many of my friends see the fake announcments and as soon as I hit XBL I get like a ton of messages saying (So and so is in this game, or they are doing Namco vs capcom) I get so mad because I know this news is not official and to top it off I already know about the would-be announcment.

Im tired of all this hype im just gonna wait till he announces the damn thing. If it's good, i'll buy it, if it's bad I might buy it anyways but won't be happy.

Wow, excellent point MonkeyCha0s! He could definitively be referring to the number of characters added to Super Street Fighter IV in the likely arcade release. Good thinking.

It will be Rolento and Alex, no worries. :)

Ono has already stated that he is too busy to be working on a CvS3 title. Referring to Darkstalkers, he stated in the same interview with 1up.com "It is my lifework. I want to achieve it some time. :)" He was trying to drum up support for the game, and at one point he reached out to fans calling on them to contact Capcom and express their interest in a new Darkstalkers sequel.
On his Twitter page, Ono stated that he was referring to his friend, the guy in charge of the Tekken series, as "Project Leader, and that the friend laughed about "the rumor". Also, the screenshot of King fighting Abel is fake, evidenced by the fact that King's image was taken from an earlier screenshot of Tekken 6 while that game was still in development.

I agree with some fans' predictions that Ono will announce a new Darkstalkers game and the new characters for a Super Street Fighter IV release. I do not expect there will be more game modes included when the console version is updated with the arcade version's characters via DLC, especially if that DLC is free.
I have no information or opinion on the possibility of a PC version of Super Street Fighter IV being released, except to say that I personally have no interest in it.

I don't see why you would be so hyped up for the announcements. The games won't even be out till 2-3 years later or even longer. I would be more hyped out if they already had secrets projects they were working on and will be releasing the game within a year.

I really DO hope they charge for DLC characters, believe it or not! SSF4 is a game that can be played until the end of time, and adding UP TO 7 NEW CHARACTERS is easily worth $15-20 of my money.

I want to believe, but the way this list completely failed to predict Amaterasu and Thor is a serious blow to its credibility.

I haven't heard much about the Green Lantern game, but I didn't see anyone talking about three different characters.

Marvel never had anything pertaining to MvC3 at the SDCC floor, that information was purely slipped back at the Marvel site prematurely.

It was impossible to have known that just because it would require the person having been at Marvel's physical residence instead of at Comic Con to know it. This explains why Capcom rushed the videos of the leaked characters out without having letting the dust from the first 4 revealed characters settle.

Also, the Spider-Man Shattered Dimension had the same issue that the green lantern game did. Nobody knew that you could play as Other spider-man variants until a while after it was officially revealed.
