lol, the MvC3 leak list is now proven inaccurate. The Stream with Niitsuma officially debunked it.
So that guy who started both the TvSF/NvC rumors and the MvC3 leak rumors is 100% fail and fictional.

You actually control which way it fires. Even during the super. Basically a slow controlable beam you can pick the starting point of. I played this quite a bit at Evo.

That is a design choice, and they likely said something like "we have no plans for adding a custom combo super for anyone," like they do 99% of the time. (I didn't actually see that interview). However, they were very point-blank that there would be no Fantastic Four characters in the game, likely for copyright/legal reasons.

and Juan just because the SSF4 team(different team) says something then MVC3 team (aka the TVC team) doesn't mean all will end up lying especially when it's someone else's legal property(in this case Fantastic Four being marvel's) unlike street fighter which 100% belongs to capcom

Nuts, now that I look at the list, it looks pretty solid and final. I was really hoping they would include Thanos, Sentry or Mar-Vel because of what's happening in the Marvel universe right now. Mr Fantastic should be interesting (although I thought Marvel told Capcom not to use FF4?). We don't need She Hulk and (He) Hulk in the same game, or War Machine for the same reason. Any chance for Marvel Zombie alternate costumes? Bullseye or Punisher would have been nice too. I am very happy to not see Akuma, Ryu AND Ken in the list. Black Spider-Man suit? I don't see Mephisto on that list (No Mephisto OR Blackheart?).
I would love <3 to see Gill as the final boss (the hand in the newest intro trailer would be a possible indicator of that) or alternately Goddess from the Infinity Crusade Marvel storyline. =)

Going forward (and this isn't a new stance), I'm not trusting any "leaked" list unless it has a solid name behind it. If Spooky comes out with a list, I'll listen. But not to any random kid posting a list on Gamefaqs. I'm just mostly relieved that both "leaked" lists that came out at the same time are debunked.

The rumored list is fake there are no Fantastic Four in the game and The Punisher, Dare Devil, Ghost Rider, Phoenix Wright, Gene, and Emma Frost have been confirmed not to be in the game. Emma is on the rumored list and she"s confirmed not to be in the game alongside Nemisis, The Fantastic Four, and Tyrant.

@#30 That list is so false its not even funny, the fact of having Mr. Fantastic on the rumor roster after its been confirmed that there won't be any members of the Fantastic 4 in the game makes the roster look fake, and for the capcom side of the roster, why would they have Zero and Tron Bonne but not Megaman? Thats like having every character in a new Sonic game but not include Sonic himself.

Look, One guy on 4chan trolled around 900,000 people with a rumor that he, nor any of his believers did any real research on to check if it made any sense. GI got suckered into it and blatantly lied despite chancing it's reputation as a site.
This rumor was originally dated back in or before February and recycled like mad over 70 times through 30 or so websites and message boards. It was a hoax since it missed 2 out of 3 promised deadlines, but they guy swore on it and kept getting banned for blatantly spamming.
How exactly could anybody believe this insane rumor unless they were intentionally filtering out the reality behind it?

Dude, those were FAKE. The guy re-used the way TvC actually had a leak, but Capcom prevented that from happening again. That Source-code leak was de-confirmed THREE TIMES and proven false most embarrassingly by Niitsuma himself.
The TvSF/NvC rumors are also completely fake since not only were they fake twice before, but made by the same person who leaked the MvC3 list in the first place.
Everybody loses, except if your character is visually and unavoidably confirmed via official footage.

@86 the coding list is fake, Emma Frost and Mr. Fantastic were on it, both characters are confirmed to not be in the game, so anything goes character wise, I'm really hoping for Wang Tang, Jon Talbain, Megaman X, Gambit, Ms. Marvel, and Psylocke; also Breath of Fire needs someone to represent them. Jin, Strider Hiryu, and Hayato are characters i really want to return.

we all have to b patient at this time, despite all these list nobody will kno whos in or not until they capcom decides to show us themselves.honestly i remember an article post here on eventhubs sayin they were gonna blow us out of thde water with the sheer amount of characters in this game,i was expectin 80+. then they said they wer only adding like 30 sumtin characters. So until capcom decides what characters are in or not lets just hope for ur favorites. hell i thought we wer gonna get like 40 characters from mvc2 and then 40 all new character,but mayb down the road they change it up and add dlc for a more intense roster.:)

It was long since disproved and the one guy that is responsible for both lists and the NvC rumors got proved false because Niitsuma already debunked the lists outright on the stream last night. He now has no credibility.

Not like Niitsuma needed to disprove all these rumors because they were automatically wrong from the start. The lists had characters that conflicted with what both Marvel and Capcom representatives confirmed before the lists were made.
All of it was a huge lie from 4chan, ArcadeUFO, Game Informer and TheKartel was all recycling phony information that everybody kept spewing on each other just for the heck of it, but it all started from 4chan.

Thor is not a surprise because of his movie being released next summer. Quite smart marketing move if you ask me. Don't be surprise if Loki is added. Since we're on a movie theme, the Predator character from the early Capcom beat-em-up game wouldn't surprise me.
Remember that X-men: First Class is being release next summer so those characters may be fair game on the Marvel Side: Banshee, Havok, Beast, Professor Xavier & Emma Frost

The second pic on the twitter page posted by Tron is not a pic of Ryu and Jin. It's just a pic of the old MvC3 trailer where ryu and wolverine stop fighting to look at the sky opening up, with that guy comming down.

im not sayin bring them all back, i want new characters, i was just sayin that back wen mvc3 was announced capcom first stated that ther wer gona b alot of character, enough to blow our minds, so i thought they wud 80 character 40 old 40 new and balance it,they wud take out filler characters lik collosus and servbot and keep like da major charachters:ryu,wolverine,gambit etc and then bring forth alll new ppl lik dante and chris and dealpool. i was thinkin size an quality. dats alot, i really domt mind if we get an all new roster at al, i just wantd it to fit with the story, no matter how silly da story is

I'm glad the leaked list is fake even though it looks true. Thanks to Niitsuma. That list sucked. I would like to see Ammy transform into the female figure as well would be cool to change modes. So far Marvel no females on the marvel side and no villains for the Capcom side. I think Storm will make it in and Dr. Strange for some reason. Captain Commando and Cyclops I think would be great and so far there's only ONE X-Men character- Wolverine. For new villains give me Gill or Seth, Urien would be nice. That hand in the trailer reaching out to Ryu could be Ken because it's a human arm.

Capcom, please include alternate costumes in this game, including World War Hulk, Black Spiderman, 2099 Spiderman, 2099 Doom, old man Logan, and Marvel Zombies!

i believe the cat reaching for Ryu's hand in the trailer is Sagat.. if i remember the story correctly, Sagat thought he defeated Ryu in their 1st fight and reached down to help him up, but as he was reaching, the dark hadou overtook Ryu and he dp'd Sagat across his chest.. so it looks like hes remembering back in the trailer

It'd be awesome to have Jotaro Kujo, Kakyoin, or Dio Brando but if I recall they aren't original capcom characters, capcom only made a fighting game for the amine, they don't own it which saddens me. Ice9, don't even bother. Talking to them is like talking to brick walls. They're most likely either gullible or blind or just being plain dumb, that's all. That's what the internet is, believing every little thing that comes their way. It's like believing certain celebrity news that doesn't always come true, or believing that the world would end before 2013, when we all know that isn't going to happen.
They should know better than to believe certain rosters from random posters of a certain messageboard instead of believing the staff from either Capcom Unity, Shoryuken, Eventhubs, Marvel, or Team Sp00ky.

dont put doctor strange or domanun upthere there not good and no like them they both the same. i would suggest putting more female characters on the marvel side. like elektra or psclocky and on capcom put cammy and they will be balance.
