I'm really disappointed in how this ended up. I was hoping for Sako vs. Daigo in the finals, because that would be a chance to truly test the Cammy players' assertions that she's been buffed, but Vega and Dhalsim? No disrespect to the players, but this is not what I wanted to see. Cammy beating Vega doesn't prove anything, battle of the low tiers much? And Dhalsim, while not low tier anymore, inherently has trouble with pure rushdown characters. So if he wins anyway, that's bad news for Cammy fans. If he loses, it's nothing unexpected. Bleh.
And don't hate on me because this series of matches is effectively "for fun", I know they aren't playing for my enjoyment. But that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed, and I can say so if I want.
umm no way cammy is low tier by the way, being considered by many as the best rushdown character does not make a low tier character.
the sako vs mochi fight will either be really quick(sako wins) or really lame(mochi wins).

Best rushdown character my foot. Bison, RUFUS, Balrog, and Abel are all much, much better. Cammy has fewer options than them (especially safe options), lower stamina, and crappy Ultras. But you don't have to take my word for it, just look at how many people did well in EVO using Cammy. Oh right, not a *single one* in the top 32. She did better than that last year in SFIV, before these alleged "buffs" which allegedly make up for the drastic damage nerf to Cannon Spike. Hmm, could there be a connection?
Bottom line, if you like Cammy and think she's good, you're shooting yourself in the foot because Capcom needs all the help they can get to figure out how much better they need to make her next time.
@#21 Who would look to Evo as an example when, right in front of us, we have the guy who won Evo by a huge margin organizing a tournament with the people he considers to be the best in his country, and now there's a Cammy in a position to win it.
You've apparently put a lot of thought into your argument but I'm pretty sure you're starting off from the wrong point. Cammy is high tier.

oh right there's an Adon in the top 5! adon must be top tier along with ryu, rufus, akuma and honda...because evo determines tier lists!
what makes cammy better than bison, balrog, abel as rush down characters is the DP that she has.
1. cammy can bait crouch techs better than any character in the game
2. cammy can punish a baited crouch tech better than any character
3. the only thing holding back cammy is the sheer difficulty of pulling her links after a dive kick consistently, but sako is very god like with the links so she doesn't miss them often.
yeah, I think cammy is the best rush down character and with the hands of a master, she can mind f--k any players
Cammy's dp nerfs and nerfed ultra 1 (someone responsible for tweaking the characters in super had a fetish for having only the last blow of an ultra do a lot of damage) really hurt. The reward for burning both FULL SUPER and FULL ULTRA bars is pathetic--a single combo into super is more damaging. I think it's wrong that a DP does the exact same damage as an anti-air normal, and I don't like the uniformity of damage even though the harder dp's are less safe. And I kind of miss the generally higher damage output of vanilla, battles just go slower and everyone feels like they have more HP (which in relative terms, they do, even though it's the damage output that's been lowered). You see ultras failing to finish off your opponent a lot more, and ultras sealing the victory a lot less.
Sako is undoubtedly the best, most badass cammy user on the face of the earth. In high level play this is how she should be used... but wait! Nobody other than Sako can use her like this... "tiers only matter in high level play."
She's like the Daigo of Cammy. There are a plethora of interesting specialists to watch in Japan.
hey but nobody says about vega, cammy is good, but not so good yeah she was nerfed very hard but still is very good.
Vega needs some buffs, most of hes special moves are just crap:
-hes rolling crystal comes very slow
-hes scarleth terror dont have invencibility as others type kind moves.
-the izuna drop grab box are very small
-and the backflip, anyone uses that move?
but still a good match ;)
lol mago, momochi, tokido and daigo out. GodsGarden is a joke only Daigo used the character he is most skilled at (according to the rules) neither Mago or Momochi used their main or who they are most skilled with.

#34 aren't you the same idiot that said that you beat 3000k Adons meaning that you can probly beat Gamerbee? I doubt anyone that remembers that can take you seriously anymore.
It boggles my mind how ppl resort back to tiers to determine why the results happened. I duno if you noticed, but Makoto was up 6-3, meaning that he had the edge until sako ADAPTED(YES VERY IMPORTANT IN THIS GAME) to Makoto's style. Every character in this game is good if you use them properly, they all have tools to stop any character, it just depends on how you play the player.
I'm gonna cry at the comments when the arcade tier list comes out in October or whenever.... ppl gonna use that as their excuse as to why they cant win at a certain m/u lol.
#35 well I'm 3800-4000k atm, but I've hit a wall can't progress anymore. But I heard gamerbee is 7000+ so no. I never said anything about me beating gamerbee so that makes you the idiot for not understanding what other people writes.

Hayate, Mago didn't use Sagat because he obviously felt Fei Long was the better choice this time around. Sako, Daigo, Makoto, and Tokido all used their mains. Momochi was probably the only player who didn't use his main, Akuma.

pp is not more important, if you use other characters your not used to pp will drop as you lose. Bp gives more revelence to the character

The best japanese dictator is TUC, a very patient and defensive Bison, compared to Kuma who is a rushdown player.
Bon-chan is a strong Sagat, not many BP (maybe because he doesn't play as much as Mago) but he's a very respected player. If I remember correctly, he's Daigo's and TKD's teammate for SBO.
The 3 very strong boxers are Maeda Tyson, Aojiru Guile and Pamyu.
The best Guile is Yazu. （＾－＾） is pronounced Nico Nico mark, not a top player (for japanese standards) but a very fun and agressive Guile, and an air throw specialist.
PPN is considered the best Sim since Iyo doesn't play much because of his job.
Nuki used to be the second best Chun Li (he's Daigo's usual partner) but he more or less gave up SF4 for 3rd strike.
The most famous Ryu besides you-know-who is Fuudo.
Morm, I think Kuma's bison is better than TUC. He impressed many well known players. BTW, Dictators are SUPPOSE to be agressive, which he is but also very smart and technical.
Bon-chan is a strong sagat but nothing crazy. Other than Nuki (and possibly TKD the wildcard), Daigo's past teammates haven't been too extraordinary.
Forgot about Pamyu.
I still think Yoshiwo is better than Yazu.
PPN is good but him being considered the best is arguable.
Kuma's playstyle is very agressive and impressive, like nico nico mark's Guile or K66's Akuma. I love seeing those 3 guys playing, but they'll never be the best with their respective characters because they play too much for the show, they should play more to win. Dictator is not C.Viper, there are many situations were you have to slow down the pace of the match and turtle. Some specific match up with dic are just all about turtling.
That's why TUC has always been a Grand Master as far as I remember, while Kuma lost his title for a very long period (I'm not sure if he's a GM right now).
Yazu is the ONLY Grand Master playing Guile. There was a casual match at godsgarden 2 were Yazu won to Yoshiwo 2-0. I know a single match is no proof, but yazu has always been more successful.
