Yoshinori Ono stated at EVO 2010 that he'll be announcing something in two weeks that should get people very excited. He said this new project will be coming in about a year. They would be releasing the SSF4 Turbo. This was what happened before they announced that the SSF4 was in the making. Trust me. You're all gonna be 'hyped' again.
Tekken vs Street Fighter, why else would Harada producer of Tekken try to get him to reveal the trailer earlier when hes from a different company and start joking around with him on stage.
The fact that he AND Harada-san were on stage together suggests that those Tekken vs. Street Fighter rumors may be true. I personally think that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is Capcom's biggest announcement in a long, LONG time, so I don't know how Ono-san's gonna top THAT, ESPECIALLY at Comic Con of all places.
I also feel that he's setting himself up for failure like when they announced the secret surprise for owning a copy of Street Fighter IV when getting SUPER. They announced it months in advance & were pretty tight-lipped about it, so expectations were very high. It only ended up being two extra colors for having a Street Fighter IV SAVE, not the actual game. I feel like this scenario is the same. If it's not Tekken vs. Street Fighter, Capcom vs. SNK 3, or Street Fighter V (5), I think we'll be disappointed. Maybe it's Namco X Capcom 2...
easy guess, its either sf vs tekken, sf3 4th impact or just a bunch of new dlc stuff related with the upcoming arcade release.
I was really really hoping the announcement and trailer was going to debut at EVO. I'm kinda worried about what it actually is, I'm really hyped about it but I don't think Street Fighter vs. Tekken is something I'm going to care about very much. So the future of Super Street Fighter IV separate from this secret project?
Tekken and Street Fighter are like Oil and Water, they don't mix.
SF vs SSMB, from the Toybox to the TV. Tabuu looks like seth anyhow.
It Might be Capcom Fighting Evolution 2 but
it cannot be a Capcom vs.game because they're
already working on Marvel VS. Capcom 3.
During his speech, Ono said there was a hint in his twitter postings. One of them is the Tekken director with the Blanka doll up in front of his face. However, he posted tons of pictures these last few days, so who knows what it might be.
Tekken Vs. Street Fighter sounds fairly likely though.
Also, 3rd strike HD remix will very very likely never happen.
Street Fighter vs. Street Fighter? Every character in the collect? =P (Dare to dream)
If it's coming out in a year, I would think it's something that is already established, and they are adding content? If it were a new game this would have started 2-3 years ago, and might have had something more concrete via rumors, leaks, ect.
What about an HD remix for all previous SFs in one collection?
after messing with the "I draw up a project proposal since Sunday" pic i noticed that there was some text in japanese and a picture behind the blank page.
i can't read japanese, but maybe someone can make out what it says. but about that picture it looks a bit like nitroman or protoman. ono mentioned that this "mystery" wasn't supposed to be a fighting game and that it was supposed to be "bigger than ssf4". the only game series that comes to my mind that capcom has that can even come close to being bigger than street fighter is megaman.
coincidentally keiji inafune (lead artist of the megaman series) is supposed to be at comic con, the event ono said that announcement of the mystery was to be made at. along with that and the recent trademarking of "Mega Man Universe" as a "computer game software" it leads me to believe that its going to be somesort of pc megaman game. maybe an MMO?
Announcements are Gina be new dl characters cuz arcade version will have new characters and in two weeks it's gona be tekken vs sf Wichita is Gina be lamo not a fan of tekken. I wish it would be darkstalkers but all well
1.) We know for a fact that SSFIV is the last game in the SFIV series. It may be amended with DLC, but Capcom has been point-blank and blunt (which is rare for Capcom) that there will be no more SFIV games after Super.
2.) According to Ono's speech, there will be a project announcement and a SSFIV announcement, at the least.
3.) It's impossible to tell what hints could be contained in his tweets, but a SF vs. Tekken or CvN game aren't impossible at all, especially considering earlier rumors.
4.) We know that DLC characters are very likely, and he mentioned in his speech that the arcade release of SSFIV is coming out soon, and that's as far as he can go right now. This would lead me to believe that they're announcing DLC that will coincide with the arcade release (probably a couple or characters) and/or they're announcing other ports (PC would be most likely).
When Ono came out on stage at EVO he kept saying it's not Dark-Void 2, it's not Dark-Void 2. Could he be hinting by saying DARK void, maybe DARK-stalkers? :P
I'm not one to use this word often, but am i the only one who thinks Street Fighter vs. Tekken is a tacky idea? To me this game has the same stink as MKvsDC. "Hey, people like these two things, lets put them together! It'll be great!"
-_-'
I just dont see a way to please both tekken and sf fans in a single integrated game. They are too different. And why should it be done? Both franchises are fine on their own. What fan of either would want this? Some ZOMG DEVIL JIN VS EVIL RYU!!!?!?one! mugen fighter making internet brat would i suppose.
i just dont get it.
As far as the announcement, i think its ssf4 dlc. New darkstalkers or rerelease of 3S on PSN and XBL pulling up the rear.
I lol'd when he said he was not going to make a Dark Void 2.
Ono is such a wang-tease and I love it. I can't freaking wait for this announcement - I hope it's good! :D
Karin / Elena please.
I would main Karin in a heartbeat.
Tekken vs Street Fighter might be possible.
Maybe they'll take the two game approach, one where they SF4-ize the Tekken characters (not so difficult), and a second game, where they Tekken-ize the SF characters (more difficult).
Either that or maybe Namco was excited to see how their guys would look like in an SF4 setting, and decided to do just that. (This scenario might not please hardcore Tekken fans, but its intriguing to me, a fan of both).
@#51 halo
You completely missed the point when I said "we", not "I": people who visit this kind of website and are interested in crossovers are likely to have heard of Namco X Capcom.
Also, it should be clear enough that when people ask for a "Namco vs Capcom", they mean a fighting game, so there's no point in saying it's already done and pointing to an RPG. Your mention of NXC contributed absolutely nothing to the discussion, just diverted it so you could show off your knowledge.
i want them to make like an action rpg with sf4 characters! that would be epic! make the battle system akin to kingdom hearts or devil may cry! haha
hello people he made the announcement afer tthe tekken finals its gona be tekken vs sf watch and the other will be new characters fro ssf4 its gona be a fighting game people so stop asking for megaman esc. use your head
