I always wish Evo had a larger international integration rather than being mostly Americans. I'm American myself so I'm grateful that the tournament is somewhat local. I do, however, wish to see a stronger presence of European and Asian players, rather than just a few.
It's unfortunate that some of the foreign players had difficulty acquiring visas to travel here.

That match was good, however that does not prove that hakan is good. It just proves that hakan can handle gouken. Hakan has tools to shut down gouken. You have to remember gouken is really not that great of a character compared to others.
a gouken mainer myself I fought some really good hakans and I don't know if its a even matchup but hakan can handle it. Hakan has more chances to close in on gouken because of the slide which shuts down goukens zoning. Gouken also has no shoryken type reversal so hakan can jump in on gouken and bait out counters and all the sort. he also has an air grab which can grab gouken out demon flip.
so yea while hakan can beat gouken. show me a match of him beating a rufus or a sagat or ryu or a balrog or sim. ^_^
I really hope that there will be a chat box for EVO - that's like half of the fun right there.
Why did they choose stickam for the stream? Most tourney streams are done on Ustream or JustinTV. Is stickam better or are they making a huge mistake?
Can't wait to load up the stream and TURN CHAT OFF.
Last year was miserable and made us look bad to anyone who wasn't from the community. I just wish other sites would be able to proxy stream so I could watch it with just a select few people.
Like the Jacksonville group, maybe?
I so wish I could go to EVO for once... It seems to be such an exciting event... I really want to go this year but it seems I have no way of getting there. Such cruel fate. Well I guess I can always watch the stream and hope I am the lucky winner who gets the gold fight stick.... *sighs and daydreams about it*
EVO is gonna be so awesome, I can't wait until the morning...
...When I put Daigo in his place! :P
...Or the opposite happens, who knows? I hope I face him in the first round though, lol.
Late to post, (had a hectic past two weeks...), but never counted out.
CGL Week 5 is happening -Tomorrow- in Chicago

@ Clovr4Lyf
did i miss something???
hakan got totally owned in round 2 and only won cuz off his ultra!
no combos and useless waste of meter by canceling his slide which HIT!
there is absolutly nothing impressive there except goukens combo in round 2!
that hakan player was bad! just used the gouken player's dumb mistakes!
@Clovr4Lyf
That was impressive. Hopefully, we'll see more Hakan action at EVO...
...
Well, one can hope.
