With the recent announcement that Evo 2010 would be hosting a Femme Fatal Super Street Fighter 4 tournament that only allows female participants, I thought it would be interesting to check out one of the best, if not the best, female player in Japan, Choco.
Choco is a Blanka player who's participated in a number of big tournaments and is currently said to be dating Momochi, who's one of the top Street Fighter 4 players.
Here's a couple of matches of Choco's Blanka. One against Mago's Sagat, which was submitted by Rodney T., and another against an Abel player named Bomb.
You can see from these clips that she obviously knows what she's doing, but girls are still very much the exception to the rule as far as fighting game players go.
With fighting games becoming more main stream and Evo hosting the female only tournament, do you think we will we see a new trend with more females getting into the scene or do you feel this is just a blip on the radar?
