In an
interview with Modern-Gamer.com, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom's producer, Ryoto Niitsuma, stated that fighting games are in a renaissance (rebirth) period for the company.
He then reiterated that they want to keep making fighters and that if the sales for TvC are good, they'll make sure to get another game out without too much time passing.
This is the second time Niitsuma-san has made
such a statement, and since Capcom isn't telling him to hush up on the subject, it sounds like the company is serious about pushing forward with more fighting games in the near future.
Ryoto Niitsuma stated previously that this new title would be another entry in the Vs. series, but which franchises or platforms hasn't be revealed at this point.
Since a lot is hinging on the sales numbers for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars on the Wii, we'll keep you posted on how things are looking when those figures start becoming available.
