Man, this is so fcked up with what they are doing to us first they delay the game, then they are charging for costumes which they said were going to be free, and now this crap. So, their going to tell us the final four characters from now to the day of release pretty much. What's next? Charging for DLC that's already on the disc, that just needs to be unlocked, wait they already caught us with that scam. LOVE Street Fighter to bad I can't say the same about Capcom.

Juri had to be in development months before she could appear. But the rest of the roster wasn't stabilized at that point. It's really just a rumor. Besides, that report did not even get the rumors right; there is no arcade release, and the idea of Hakan isn't that he's "obsessed with oil," it's that he's a Turkish oil wrestler. Bottom line: rumors are rumors, so it's all up in the air until confirmation.

You might as well just stop giving capcom press. I say that they will reveal characters next week and by GDC (March 7-10th) they will reveal the following roster through press release. Japan has to receive something before US shores, so my guess will be that next week they'll have news on 3 strikers. That kunai pic has been in rotation for the past 3 months, at least reveal one character.

Well, this new isnt really news lol, I mean, they got to release them before the game hits shelves. Rose was the last character announced for SFIV, and she was shown about 2 months before the game was released...
It will be interesting to see Hakan, no matter what, people will be pissed. They will either say he is too racist, or not Arabic enough. Oh well.

Sometimes a project does not always go smoothly as planned. Either Capcom underestimated production time or they faced some setbacks. Time is money, it's not like Capcom wants to delay their production anymore than consumers want to wait for the release of the game. There has to be certain level of quality/polish that has to be met, and sometimes more time and resources must be invested to make it happen. We get a potentially better product than something that was rushed to meet the release date, and Capcom is more likely to benefit from increased sales or "customer loyalty".
Capcom is under no obligation to reveal any of their content of the games if they choose to. The reason why they do inform the public about anything is to build up hype and potential buyers. Hype dies down over time. If everything is revealed well before the release date, the mystery is gone and so is the excitement about the game. This is not unique to Capcom, all video game developers with adequate resources do this. Besides, the release date is near, and you're not going to die if the last characters are not revealed.

They more or less released the game and tells who the characters are in the last second. In other words: they never revealed the characters. The ironic thing is, nobody cares about those characters. It's just the fact that they are about to tell something and refuse to tell it. It's like saying "Do you know what I purchased yesterday?" and from that point on refuse to tell what it is. Nobody cares what you purchased but it's the fact that you refuse to finish revealing something that you're hiding. The characters themselves are irrelevant. It's just that they refuse to finish their lines/sentence which isn't hype but more like rude behavior.

Supers are not Ultras, FYI and to all kids who are first getting into fighters with SFIV - don't call supers in other games Ultras BTW, and the guy wants to see a 2 arm Ultra.
A 300% better proposition than seeing Karin again, a no powers rich girl who bought martial arts training and is capable of doing damage yet only being like 90 lbs. Yeah, no. Even for fans, in SUPER SFIV expect her to have like 800 health if she does make it.

If Ibuki or Makoto or Dudley don't make it in, the only characters worthy of replacing em are:
-Rolento
-Charlie (will wreck the storyline though)

There is hope still that Capcom will change Akuma's ultra 2. Since they changed abel's in SF4.

First of all, the game hasn't been released to the public yet. The audience does care about the characters, otherwise there wouldn't be a reaction (positive or negative), and less incentive for Capcom to continue this marketing campaign. They reveal their information little by little as it gets closer to completion. Those who don't care about such announcements can simply move on. It's business and there is nothing rude about it.

Nobody cares about 3rd Suck no name characters....There were 2 chances for them to be in SF4 (arcade & console) and none were added. Even at Evo they had a pole for an extra game to add and SF3 wasnt picked...the characters suck and you know it in youre heart of hearts.
