This is why I like SF4. The top 8 finishers are listed, and I see 6 DIFFERENT characters... AND NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM IS A SHOTO. I'm glad that most of the cast can compete at higher levels (that is if you can call a US competition high level). This is also why I'm not sad to see SF3 and MvC2 losing support at Evo.

Wish American tournaments were just like the Japanese where you'd have the right to choose only one character throughout the tournament. The whole counter-pick thing is kind of cheap in my opinion.

Buff Sagat in super 4 please!! He should be able to step kick juggle 4 times with no damage reduction before his ultra because he has "weak anti-crossup game, huge hitbox, and mediocre footsies potential." Capcom nerfed Sagat too much in SF4.

I had mad respect for Sanford. At EVO when he beat Justin for MvC2, I thought to myself "Yay, Justin didn't win!" Then later as more tournaments came up in the future, I noticed that he's king of counter-picking. Yeah you counter-pick to win tournaments, but Sanford takes it a whole new level.
I'm not gonna lie in saying that he's a good player, but when it comes down to it, he wouldn't do so well if he stuck with one character.
Way to go Sanford, douche.

By west coast i meant socal. They got always bet on black and a few other good guys. East coast has the guys who consistently place top 8 at big tournaments including evo. East coast is just far more consistent right now.

im confused now....evo2009 in the 5 on 5 comp im pretty sure east coast won that... in singles the highest placed wc player(edma) got MAULED by daigo. the highest placed east coast player(wong) almost beat daigo n didnt look like a scrub while doin like edma did. ok mabey thats a lil harsh cuz edmas not bad. now lets keep goin further. west coast warzone....one player..let me repeat that, ONE player from the east coast(marn) took the west coast money n won the whole thing n beat the best player in socal n mabey the west coast(alex valle). next is bar fights...the 5 on 5 was jus horrible. ur lucky joe lost 1 match to alex cuz it woulda been a shut out. they didnt even want to play anymore unless they used their secondarys and still beat team wild card. now justin floe n marn had to go the west jus to make it a lil better(im pretty sure they went for other reasons but it doesnt hurt to teach a coast how to play like the east). =]

Sanford would have lost if anyone decent was playing, he even screwed up on that Viper punish on the dizzied Gief and he screwed up fadc into ultra with Sagat.

What are you retarded. You take the top 5 from each coastline that are at the tourney and they represent the coast at the tourney. Its that simple. Regardless of who they are. Do you think emp arcadia is an island of spain or something. I think you should stop making excuses for why WC top 5 always gets dominated by EC top 5 and level up your game yourself. He's a baby who can only play by counter-picking. He did it at EVO2009, he does it at tournaments. Otherwise, he'd stick with Akuma or Viper in one tournament, not with the whole "Oh let me pick Akuma to counter Ryder, now I'll pick Sagat for Aqua's Zangief. Yay I won! Why so butthurt? Did you miss the part about him picking Viper as a personal challenge to Andre's Bison? In other words counter picking against himself? The game is literally based on matchups, so why not play them to your advantage, especially if you can play virtually the whole cast like Sanford can?
I just don't get why everyone is hating on his victories. Five Battlefield Arcadias in a row is nothing to scoff at, even if you're maining Sagat. Yeah he gets a little salty at times, but not nearly as much as his haters do. If it pisses you off so much get good enough to beat him, then come back.

well if he was counter-picking he must be the worst counter-picker ever. Usually when you counterpick your opponent you do it so you gain an advantage on your opponent from the match-up not so the opponent is at the advantage.
