Final SSF4 characters to be revealed soon?
According to a translation of this Chinese website by Neo2046, the remaining four characters in Super Street Fighter 4 will be revealed either this week or next week in the Japanese magazine Famitsu.
Just to temper expectations, remember that sometimes these things are not translated correctly and apparently a Capcom employee later jumped on the thread and said that a leaked version of upcoming Famitsu cover had no mention of the new characters — and if the announcement was in the magazine — it would likely be mentioned on the front cover.
Capcom V.P., Christian Svensson, was asked about when the new characters would be revealed and he stated that the game is in the home stretch and we'll just have to be patient.
Note that the rumor list has been very accurate up to this point and previous comments from the Nakky blog have all but confirmed Ibuki is in the game. While making things official will be nice, the collective opinion is that Dudley, Makoto, Ibuki and Hakan are the final four characters that will be in Super Street Fighter 4.

Can't wait anymore. The hype continues. The community behind SFIV is awesome like the game itself. Who knows, maybe we will see another version of SSFIV the year after the release.

in one of the official blogs, they said that the full playable roster will be available at the finals of the Nippon tournament on April 4th (cant remember the news story day on eventhubs)

No proof 3S characters will be in SSF4, Hakkan could have a knife he throws like Cody. The returning cast so far are from SF2/SFA/SF4...3rd Suck characters had 2 chances to make the roster (arcade and console) and they never did. 3S characters were odd and nobody cares. SF3 isnt even going to be at Evo anymore.

Hype was always gonna die down anyways Harima, but the main point is that all this waiting around for new news on the SFIV characters is completely ridiculous and should've been released a long time ago.
Only difference between SF4 and its update SSFIV is that, SF4 had alot of *test versions* running around and special organised events along with regular online news updates until it came out etc. SSF4 was only put together at the last minute due to SF4's success in sales and its reaction from SF players. By the time all the hype has died down from the 4 remaining characters and any secret additionals (Shadow?) included it'll probably be late April within the next 2 months already, in case you didn't know its been 2 1/2 to 3 month since T-Hawk, Deejay and Juri were released and revealed? and 2 months (December 2009) since Cody, Guy and Adon were also revealed.
Even after the four remaining characters are shown, fans will still want news of an Arcade or PC release news far as SSFIV news goes. Anything else SSFIV related would also be a surprise bonus if it isn't covered already (artwork, joysticks, Collectors Edition versions etc?). And surely any "Computer Trade & Gaming" shows would want a complete SSFIV game to brag about showing off at their shows in the spring wouldn't they?!
And its getting kinda pretty late far as anything remotely to do with an arcade release for SSFIV as that goes as well! So lets end the damn waiting around and release the 4 remaining characters, so naturally the 'Hype' would be out and about for a couple of weeks into March/April before everything else would be asked of by fans.

There would still be enough time to fill the remaining weeks with info about SSF4.So the hype won't die at all.
-4 new characters is atleast 4 blog-updates about the characters and why they chose them.
-Some blog updates about the ultra's they chose for the new characters.
-gameplay vids.
-More information about Hakan's role in the upcoming storyline.
-the SSF4 tournament held in Japan in April.
So, there's enough info to fill the 2 month gap.

How exactly can there be a "collective opinion" on a fact? One either knows or doesn't know who the new characters are; since they haven't been confirmed, anyone who claims to know who they are is claiming special information not available to the public and would have to provide proof to be taken seriously.
I don't see where "opinion" enters into it, unless you're talking about early guesses as to what characters might be included; few guessed that any Street Fighter III character would be in Super Street Fighter IV, let alone little-known ones like Makoto.

If the last 4 characters are indeed ibuki, makoto, dudley and hakan, it would be such an anti climax brcause Capcom would just be officially confirming something that a lot of people have known for months.
However if the characters are not the ones on the rumour mill then it would be a truly big surprise.

You know what would be funny, if went they do announce the last 4, they're all completely different from the rumor list. We're exsceting (I can't spell) Dudley, Ibuki, and Makoto, and instead we get (enter characters you would like to see) and oh, a new dude that's not Hakan. I think it is going to be those character, but I'm just going to laugh my butt off if they do turn out to different characters.
As a side note, Sagat my have been twicked (again, can't spell) but he's Sagat. He's a defensive beast, he takes off half your life with one combo, and oh, he's the KING. All I know about him in Super is that his stamina is now 1000 and his tiger uppercut does 100 less damage. He'll still be the best character in the game unless they take away his offensive game.

Hmmm. Lets do the math. 3 more issues of Famitsu will come out before the game is released, right?
They won't/can't keep a character secret until the month it comes out. So, if its not this month, its next month guaranteed. Or maybe they'll do just the 3S characters this month and wait a month for Hakan. Or the opposite (probably not).

Interesting reading the comments. No one will really know until they are revealed. Everyone says Ibuki and Dudley are in but not to sure about Makoto. While I agree the rumor list is ALMOST accurate, but not 100% accurate. I'm hoping for Ibuki, Elena, Dudley, and this Hakan guy. Ibuki is the air, Elena is the ground, and Dudley is the face-to-face combat. Hakan? No much to comment on him lol.
I would like Elena, Ibuki, and Dudley. Who knows who is in or not. I do know one thing. Take out that random select screen and add other character plus the three other stages that could have been in the game

I admit I was always really hot for Elena, and would like to see how she looked in the SSFIV art style. Plus, she adds a little more ethnic diversity, which is probably a good thing.
But I'd go for R. Mika over her for sheer craziness.

I like them...but I loved to see peoples faces drop if it wasn't them. I really don't care who gets added...getting 10 characters for a expansion is incredable; even if we have the current roster...that already is huge for a expansion.

But they don't KNOW anything. It's just a rumor. Even if they turn out to be right, it wasn't due to some special insight or prediction. Every character in the history of Street Fighter has been proposed by somebody, so *someone* had to be right.

I agree. Charlie would be a good addition. we already have about 3 characters who do the damn rising dragon punch/ spinning kick/hadoken. but noooo, charlie being i the game is like having another Guile. Just balace them out and input different ultras and there you go, a DIFFERENT character

I don't get why everyone is sh!tting on Hakan, who no one has actually seen yet.
The characters Capcom created just for SF4 were all really cool: Rufus, Viper, Abel, Fuerte.

Geez with this old way of thinking? Two boxers doesn't kill off a Street Fighter game nor does it make thing boring. If having more than one fighter use a similar fighting style to somebody else is the case, then get rid of Ken, Akuma, Gouken and Dan and we'll just have Ryu and no other shoto's. What? does that also entail no DeeJay cos people are afriad of another 'Guile' type of charge character too with a 'Sonic Boom' type move and 'Jacknive' (geez?). Or how about removing Adon thus we'll have only one Thai-boxer in Sagat, no T-Hawk, Hakan, E. Honda ("Oicho Grab") or anybody besides Zangief with a grab then, etc?
Hell while your at it, ditch SF bosses with no particular known fighting style but are overpowered CPU controlled S.O.B.'s when you go up against them (M.Bison, Seth, Gill etc). Whether its Dudley, Adon, DeeJay, other shoto's or other grab characters etc, just quit bloody complaining all the time people! And enjoy the fact some characters offer up alternatives besides similar or original types of other SF characters.
Last time i checked it was called Street Fighter, not the; "Only One 'Style' Of Fighting Fighter 4", lol.

Putting in Dudley is a bad idea. They already have one boxer, don't need another.
However, they definitely should add Evil Ryu, Shin Akuma, Evil Ken, Sean, and Evil Sakura.
