Fans ask Capcom about Gargantuan-sized characters, more Some members of the community asked Capcom employees about the chance of having Gargantuan-sized characters in a Vs. game, what their plans our for the PS3 release of the SSF4 anime and if the company has any plans for PAX East.

Here are the responses.

Can we ever expect to see a Gargantuan character in a Vs. game? We got Giants in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, how some Gargantuan-size characters like Apocalypse and Onslaught's second form?

Seth: Hrm. You can hack X-Men Vs. Street Fighter to play as Apocalypse. It's good for a laugh, but not fun for long — made me really miss superjumps. Other than that, I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves, though the world of 3D models makes a lot of things potentially possible that were unthinkable with 2D sprites...

Will the new Super Street Fighter 4 anime be bundled with the PS3 collector's edition?

Sven: At the moment, we aren't sure how we're going to use that asset in the West.

Will Capcom have any presence at the gaming festival PAX East in March?

Seth: Still TBD, but it won't be a giant presence, unfortunately. The event just comes in the middle of a LOT of other stuff going on for us internally, but we're still thinking about ways to high-five east-coast Capcom-loving PAX-goers.

There's really not that many outside of Apocalypse, Onslaught, other than off the top of my head maybe Galactus, Hank Pym, Nimrod/Master Mold/Sentinels, Fing Fang Foom, not even really sure who Abyss even was for MvC2

if they ever do make a MvC3, I'd like to see some of the helpers from MvC 1 make it to the forefront and some new characters with some of the old characters back of course and any crazy top tier ones that do make it back either be nerfed slightly or everybody else be buffed to match

I'll just keep dreaming for now

...first of all...pointless info...second gargantuan characters is the lamest idea ever implemented...controlling such characters is pain in the ass ! i learned from MUGEn, fighting pc engine, they're broken and unstable as hell, have only two-three buttons and the binded to two-three attacks and ALL! boooring...no specials, no supers nothing...the same repetitive boring moves all over again, thats not to mention they cover most of the screen, including health and power bar (if any)...

MUGEN IS THE BEST WAY TO TEST FIGHTING GAME CONCEPTS.

You know, reading this made me realise just how much Capcom is biting off lately and here's hoping its not more than what they can chew. They're an insanely busy development company with lots of concurrent releases either coming out, being worked on or being 'expected' by fans.

I hope the wave of success they are riding lately doesn't put them in a position to burn out, get greedy or perhaps rush stuff to meet the insane demand expected of them recently.

I'd like to hope that after the release of Super and the recently released Tatsunoko VS Capcom that those guys step back, breathe and take a serious break from things. Sure, we all want them to return to work on whatever they have in mind next but I just hope they don't get caught up in a combination of demand, success and expectations and begin to get sloppy with their product.

This is what I prescribe for their development team:
