And i agree with FOOLS....lupinkos list seems incomplete to me, and from a buisness stand point ultron would make a lot more sense then adding sentinel, but i dont know...just dont want a bunch of beast players jumpin on with storm, sentinel, and magneto without giving everyone else a try

I miss the days where the select screen itself was unique. Like back in marvel super heroes the characters break out of the television when you select them T__T i miss those days....
Well from a technical standpoint "Hero Select" could mean "Choose who your hero to you is", not necessarily having anything to do with where they stand in the literal point.
Technically, my Heroes are Doom, Spencer and She-Hulk.
It's kinda jarring to see Wesker Right next to Tron Bonne with Zero on her other side then superskrull right next to that. It shows the drastic style differences they put into her and Zero rather than changing their design(along with Joe's Authur's and Hulk's)
What really puts me off is how visually different Hulk(who appears to be one of first characters design wise) compared to She Hulk, he looks very unfitting while she looks like she has great skin. seriously look at him then every other Marvel character up there he almost looks as silly as MODOK
The character select is filling in quite nicely. It does make me wonder how/where the DLC characters will be placed, though. Will they just have their own slots once you have them downloaded/available, or will there be a single "DLC Character" slot that you select, then choose a DLC character from there?
And why do some of you think Bomberman is a Capcom character...?
I really dislike the character order it looks as if they just threw them on there. ok wolverine was against ryu in the trailors so why in the world is captin america next to ryu??? in the center. If I were capcom I would at least line them up by threes by they're reveals and who fights who in the story line. ryu is fine but then it should be chris on the left of ryu and wolverine on the right of ryu then on the left of chris it should be morrigan and on the right of wolverine, the hulk and on the right hulk ironman or something like that.
oh yeah and another thing WHY ARE THEY FACING EACH OTHER skrull look retarded straighten him out more. "hero selection" does look lame to the eyes. maybe they should just put character there and I think the characters should look more foward toward the people who are choosing them.because the comics on screen already show the vs aspect of the screen. I think they should look more natural or face more towards the audience.
I hope Rogue and Blackheart come back. I'm finding it hard to create a team without them.
I think there will be 9 more character reveals, Next month will be two reveals and Feb will be teh final reveal the last 2 will be Jill and Shuma but since they are not ready they will be revealed (sorta) by the end of Feb.
The whole 47 character thing, unless they are all DLC it's not happening.

But either way the most important thing about the selections screen is they need to put tons of more characters on the screen to play with lol. I was kinda thinkin capcom should rock the right side of the selection screen as well this go around lol. but hey thats me. more capcom villains also agreed and more marvel females agreed. and more capcom favs as well agreed.

Man people are still complaining about phoenix? Sound like a bunch of whiney a** kids who can't get what they want. The roster is looking very solid with Capcom looking weak atm. Only real hitters they got are zero, wesker, & viper. Marvel on the other hamd.. everybody is just beastin and improved.

people cry about that they want sentinil and psylocke but when someone mentions gambit and cyclops, those sp players flip out and say gambit plays like vega and cyclops plays like ryu. big deal. those msp/mss players stick with the same characters so idk why they even care about who else is in the game if it looks like they will get there characters.

Dude....Why are yall listing Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath as "remnants"?? Theyve already been revealed!! We just havent seen gameplay videos yet...Taskmaster and Haggar have been leaked...so that leaves 10 slots. Megaman and Havok are "obviously" in....8 more to go. It wouldnt make much sense for Marvel's roster to get a huge "mech" like Sentinel and give Capcom's roster the shaft and not give them a mech...like The Steel Battalion. 6(?) slots left. Elekra may be in...Everybody keeps ranting about Hsien Ko, regardless of what Niitsuma-san stated...but hey, everyone has the right to change their minds. Akuma's all but revealed...you know what?...come to think of it....no one every stated the "maximum" number of characters...all we know is, there will be a "minimum" of 40 of them. I dont think theyre done yet, people...
Then again...there was that statment by Svensson that we most likely would know the full roster by launch...

You got the idea that havok was in because of the achievement name name "wreak havok" which is quite a strech.
ALso about all this leaked list stuff, lupinko's list is probebly wrong or incomplete as Ness from neogaf said that his source told him
If there are 12 slots, then here are my choices.
Here are the reasons for choosing my selection.
CAPCOM: Captain Commando, Marvel has their Captain and Capcom needs theirs.LoL. Well besides him being my favorite DarkStalker, one of the represenatives for Capcom stated himself that he wanted Donovan in and that he would be PERFECT for MVC3. M.Bison, Do I need to explain why? They also need to give him his move that he had in Capcom vs SnK. It was a purple had slap where you could attack with it for damage, but it also stopped fireballs. Kenji, besides him being a Bad@$$ ninja from Red Earth & Capcom Fighting Jam. If your gonna take out Bad@$$ Ninja like Strider why not replace a Bad@$$ Ninja with another Bad@$$ Ninja. Virgil, Dante and Virgil reminds me of Cloud and Sephiroth. It should be against the law to have one without the other. Plus Capcom needs more Villians.LoL. Blank, BLANKA!!! Man he should have been in the crossover a long time ago. They Teased us in MSH with the Hulk's ending showing him and Blanka together.Plus I bet his combos would be nice.
MARVEL: Gambit, he should have been in to begin with. His style of play would be perfect for the new engine. How many people would love to See him to the Royal Blast in these wonderful graphics and I bet a Level 3 would be Killer to see by him as well. Elecktra, Once again if you gonna take out one Bad@$$ ninja(Psylocke) then replace it with another one.They need to bring in ELECKTRA. Venom, Do I need to explain why to this one as well. Spidey without Venom is like Day without Night. Omega Red, Because he is a cool @$$ archenemy for Wolverine. It would be nice to see how he would work out in the game as well. His move sets would work. Ms. Marvel, well if your gonna take out Rouge might as well add the new HOTNESS GODDESS..Ms.MARVEL. Havok, me personally I have always liked Havok better than Cyclops. He would be a cool new character to add. So how bout it Alex Summers aka HAVOK!!!!

If megaman is in the game, that means capcom has been screwing with us since day 1. giving tron bonne and zero, instead of megaman, which dosen't make sense. Everyone was in it, including seth, who said he was too much RAM and that zero and tron bonne was good enough for the fans. You cant always believe what the rumored list tells you, but i do think haggar and akuma will be announced. probably. remember modok? i dont think he was in any rumored lists. it was a surprise, and im hoping for one more big surprise. I mean there was a kid voice actor listed for mvc3, and the "mega buster" achievement. I mean when i first saw the megaman stage, i thought he is definitely in it. it would make sense. But there is that one possibility that would explain everything. That megaman is in the ending of zero or tron bonne and he says something. But that would be a big middle finger to all of us.
@75 Dude...you would have to be wearing a really thick cloth over your face, to not see how obvious that achievement is. -_- It mentions "X-Factor"...Havok was the leader of X-Factor. He would be a much more suitable(and obscure)character than Cyclops...He's friggin immune to Cyclops' optic beams!! He seems to be alot stronger than his brother...

Then Chuck and Frank give each other a high-five and Chuck walks off.

I'm not a fan but I'm pretty sure that Megaman will be in it. Leaving him out would be the same as leaving Ryu or Wolverine out. If it happens ill be shocked. Haggar Mega Man Bison and the Capcom side will be complete for me.

We don't have to diss Capcom so much. They have almost always done good stuff for us. I want Megaman too along with others like Captain Commando, Venom, Carnage, Nemesis/Tyrant, Hobgoblin, Cyclops, Gambit, Bison, etc. But all we can do is wait and give them suggestions/request even though it might be too late...

Nah, Wesker is the only real Capcom villain. Everybody else here are fake villains: Trish, Tron, Morrigan, Viper, Jill (Akuma ... maybe). No truely evil characters like Jedah or Urion, at this point I'll even settle for Bison. Wesker sucks at recruiting badguys, Doom on the other hand....
Hmmm...maybe it was a Capcom character...come to think of it...i think...that...was...Bison?? It was a weird lookin silhouette...Servbot was easily recognizable, though.
@FOOOLS you have no proof to back up your "leak", but I hope you are right on all points. Frank West and Chuck Greene high fiving in Case West is the most harass gaming moment of the past year, and putting it in mvc3 would rock. Again, frank west and megaman are common sense to be in the gMe, with each of them having recent games released. And capcom realizes the popularity of frank, hence case west.
And as much as I don't give a sh*t about m bison, capcom does need another villain.

Can't say much in regards to the achievements, unless they are just references; but the rumors could just be mislead by the comics. What if the comics (like the endings) feature characters not in the game. It be nice if they include a few that would otherwise not fit in a fighter.

I was looking at the character selection screen and I thought about an idea they could do for DLC Characters:
If anyone has played Soul Calibur 4, you'll notice there were icons for other characters and created characters.
What they should do is save two slots on each side for dlc characters. One for capcom and one for marvel. When you pick the icon, a list will come up with the dlc characters you've downloaded. That way, they can always update the roster and you'll be able to update and complete the roster in any way you wish.
But thats just my opinion of course ^_^ maybe they don't wanna do that lol

They took that picture when they went there last thursday (December 29th) to prove they're not actually lying about anything. I mean back in the day we did'nt have expanding Character select screen, you wanted to play as Akuma you had to select him outside the character select screen. Sometimes the answer is that there is no answer, there will be as many characters as Capcom wants. End of story.

That is true. But Seth has stated before that the game is already completed and they sent their master disk to... wherever you send master disks to. They are already in the stage of mass producing the disks so that they can distribute it to the stores worldwide. If they did change anything to the game, it wouldn't matter because they could only add on to the game as a DLC.

Seriously though, the Capcom side is great (Dante, Amaterasu, Jill, Zero, Arthur, VJ, Wesker), as is the Marvel side (Super Skrull, Thor, Doom, X-23, Dormammu, Shuma, Magneto [fixed version])
And there's always open doors with DLC (crossing fingers for Cyke and Strider)

I don't know, I always disliked that MVC3 select screen and it looks exactly the same as the first time they showed it months ago. It has to be my least favorite select screen of all vs games, it looks generic as hell. I would've preferred a more stylized design with hand drawn portraits instead of just the in-game models' faces.
lol all this hubub over the selection screen and the box art.... guess it just shows how hyped fans are for this game. we've been waitin ten years for this game and i think everyone has their own ideas of perfection. personally though i think it's going to be a masterpiece.... with the inclusion of a couple more big names and villains to beef up Capcom's side.
