Tip from kSummer.
lol @ Dark Prince getting perfected. that sh*t never gets old.
MVC2 pro fights bore me. Half the time it's just infinites with Magneto.
so many ragequits lol. MvC3 looks hella balanced in comparison. Great vid
i know this is slightly off topic, but does anyone know if the character dlc for mvc3 will be available to buy the same time that the pre-orderers get to unlock it? its kind of the deciding factor for me. i dont really want the rest of the stuff, but i dont wanna have to wait longer to have them either. any info would be greatly appreciated. :)
@10 MVC2 wont die but MVC3 will get played more because its more balanced and its noob friendly. BTW that first ken combo was nice
great video i see alot of people kept using storm and magneto which is funny because they were my best fighter an i think people are going to use them again in mvc3
@11 Why do people say that? People forget how broken MvC2 is, the game has been under so much heavy rotation without an update for the last 10 years that people have brainwashed themselves into believing it's a real game.
Im not hating but im just annoyed that because this game has a legacy that other games are passed off as noob friendly just because it's no where near like MvC2.
Flame me if you want but setting up and pulling off infinites is not real skill to me even if the skill is simply not getting caught in it. I like MvC2 but I could never take it as serious as people make it.
And for all you know MvC3 is gonna be just as bad.
Who knew the game had so few characters? Seriously though that was less interesting than I thought it would be and I went in with low expectations. The most I expected was a sense of nostalgia for the days when my buddies and I would rush over to my house and huddle around my Sega Dreamcast and play this game for hours. Sadly, even that was lacking. It's funny but I only recently learned just how broken this game actually was (is) and I'm glad i'm a noob. I can imagine how boring it would be if we all picked Storm and Magneto. Probably would have taken all the fun out of the game... On the flip side that Anakaris player was skilled for sure. And I liked how intense the Psylocke vs. Iron M an fight was. I feel like Marvel vs Capcom 3 will overshadow this game in every way... including with character balance. Though I doubt the cast will be as large.

I remember reading that the MvC3 DLC characters will be available 4 weeks after release of the game, dunno if CE's get it early but I don't think it will matter.
My guess would be that each DLC character will be close to $5 each anyway, and since the CE is only $10 more.....
Also people talking about MvC 2 being too broken.....
Should see Hi-Level X-men vs Street fighter where all the infinites ARE very noob friendly and there's no combo limit (spin up/out) recovery, or the old
1995 Marvel Super Heroes , where EVERY character had infinites.
It will differcult for MvC3 to beat the HYPE of MvC2. I think if MvC3 is too balanced, it will end up like SSF4 where all the characters feel the same and becomes boring.
ppl keep saying how few characters they use on marvel vs capcom 2.... but usually are unable to understand that a msp vs santrax for example, have So many variation and possibilities, so many different strategies, that ppl who suffer to block a simple crossup or deal with a hadoken trap will NEVER understand.
so sad how they will keep thinking that a crossup is so hard to block.......
btw, there are so few true infinites on the game that are really usable.... the game is all about reset but... oh well.... hadouken trap.. yeeei...
I was unaware that balance is boring. And here I was thinking it was ideal to have a more balanced game.
I agree with the people say that this is pretty unremarkable, I mean, those player's skill is undeniable, but basically, it's always like this:
1. Start infinite combo
2. Make sure to catch opponent's next character with unblockable
3. Rinse and Repeat
Of Course there's a few excessions.
And people talking about balance not being exciting, and others saying that all characters feel the same. I mean seriously? Is that what you guys truly believe? If so there's no reason to waste time talking with you.
P.S: I'm eagerly waiting for MvC3 hoping it doesn't turn into the same sh*t-fest as it's predecessor
GARBAGE AND TOO THE GUY IN THE VIDEO KEEPS YELLIN AM SO GALD I WASN'T PLAYIN IN THAT TOURNAMENT THE FIGHT WILL BE US -_-# I WOULD LOV TO KICK HIS ***** ANYWAYS THATS ONE THING I HATED ABOUT MVC2 THE SPAMMING WITH MAGNETO AND A FEW
Maverick I sure hope you picked up on my sarcasm. I don't think balance is boring its what makes a fighting game worth playing. Nd the best thing of all is that nowadays infinites and other tech issues can be fixed with patches.
It took about 7 full years to discover everything there is to know about mvc2. Different teams ran different time periods until the game ultimately turned into 5 characters. If the game is all about infinites and anyone can win, then naturally it is even harder to stay on top. Yet, Justin Wong was undefeated from 2001-2005. Everyone was gunning for him and there were many top players that rose in the process only to be shut down. Every region thought they had the best players, that's why the game was hype. It was about the community. People wanted to be the best, and people didn't go around asking for autographs much like how new sf4 players now walk up to Daigo for them.
Lol bad place to post this video, stream monsters just dont understand MvC2. Yes their is only 5 characters but its the game and the people playing it not the teams.
And for the most part broken is better then balanced, the idea is that games that have broken elements in them are more fun and last longer. If you go down the list of old games still being played they all have characters that are OP. Their is nothing wrong with balanced just that broken is more fun.
Many of you are very happy for MvC3 (which you should be) but for the most part it sounds like a game for us true players. Its gonna be great seeing many of you just go in and mash it out, or pick Arthur or Storm and try to mindlessly run away the whole match.
Anyways stay free stream monsters.
broken is better than balanced? wtf man. i have very little interest in "celebrity" players and pro matches so infinites and other garbage like that aren't ideal. oh my god we have to use strategy an skill instead of exploiting loopholes. oh my god there's gonna be variety in pro matches! This one's destined fer the junk pile i reckon lol. whatever.
Hype stuff. :D
