great vid was very insightful i thnk short then medium for better frame work but @2 i dont know y people dont wanna use juri she can do allot of pressure and is ha very good reach i guess either people wanna show of with popular characters at tourneys or they just to afraid to loose with theremain i say practice and go for it
And I'll add to that that it's good stuff and I wish I was good enough for this video to be of any help to me.
(I'm one of those players who's doomed to struggle with the simplest things forever.)
Still, pretty neat to see, and maybe this will help to get more Juri players out there.
Yea, that is a great video. Thank you for posting. I love juri. I just wish she had some better defensive options. I get punished by Blanka a lot. His rolls seem to get him too far away and when I try to dash forward to catch up, I get punished. Same with using her spinwheel kick. Only if it went a little further... Hmmmmm...... Guess, its time to hit the training room LOL!
Great video. I am really glad I already know all of this. Because otherwise I would have felt kinda bad since I have been playing as only her since SSFIV came out. I love Juri and feel that she has a lot of great potential, but I just need to figure her out just a tad bit more for a few match ups(look at you Blanka and Boxer). I am pleased with my current performances with her, I just hope I can make a bigger splash at EVO2k11.
low then mid is deffinately worth it ... because if you're close enough.. and the opponent blocks the cr.HP xx LK fuhajin .. you have the LK free again which allows you to create a longer "TRUE" block string which would go as follows:
cr.HP, LK fuhajin, cl.LK or cr.LK, LK fuhajin raise.
not only can the oponent do nothing about the block string as its true, the fuhajin raise will put you back at a relatively safe and unpunishable distance with both fireballs back in stored. at that point even if they attempt a DP it would most likely whiff giving u the free punish afterwards ...
deffinately worth it.
as for the forced block "fuzzy guard" MK fuhajin... not only does it allow mixups due to the block stun...its one of the situations where sekku is acctually relatively safe ... i do like that setup ...
good job !
awesome follow ups on those meaty fireballs. wonderful new technology.
I know Kuma is watching!
