• According to several community reports, Arcade Infinity, in Rowland Heights, California, will be closing down on January 15, 2011. This is one of the most notable arcades that was still alive in the USA.
• Daigo, Mago, Tokido and possibly Kindevu all became Master Rank in SSF4 AE recently, accumulating 35,000 Battle Points. This was mentioned by Tokido.
• Also, Tokido wrote on his blog that Akuma's cross up Hurricane Kick in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition doesn't work the same way as it did in SSF4, citing a difference with the distance it travels, but it still works.
U_U... sad that Arcade Infinity has to go. I haven't been in an arcade in years though I know when one goes down, it makes me feel a bit disappointed.
The AI news makes me so sad, this was the most local arcade to me and the competition there was great.
Sucks about AI. The economy is so bad these days. Can't vouch for the employees since I don't live in Cali.
Never had a problem with the workers when I went there. And no, Super Arcade is not better than AI. I've been to both and I can say for sure that the arcade cabinets at AI were better maintained and it had a larger selection of games. It's a shame AI's closing since there was a huge SF following there especially when SF4 first came out.
Sucks! A.I. was a huge part of why there was already a SF scene when the game hit consoles. I'll say that A.I. single handedly rebooted the So.Cal SF scene when 4 hit the scene. Thanks for the memories.
Good riddance. A.I. was a fun place to go to, but when 1/3 of the machines don't work and the people who work there are dicks, it only serves them right for closing shop.
