Gambit while the current embodiment of Death by being one of Apocalypse's horsemen, doesn't really hold much sway outside of the Xmen world.
Rogue has lost alot of her power since the 90's (I don't believe she can even fly anymore) and as of 2009 she actually lost most of her powers that shes ever absorbed.
Psylocke hasn't made an apperance and isn't that important PERIOD.
Sabretooth died in 2008(Wolverine:Evolution Trade paperback, read it some time)
Venom has switched host twice since 2003 to now Eddie Brock is now Anti-venom and has nothing against spiderman, this isn't important.
Gulie's main mission is to find Charlie....unless bison is in there's no reason for him to be in.
Cammy's out because there's no reason for her to be in, Delta Red deals mainly in Shadoloo affiars
Sakura isn't into the save the world thing, more become best fighter for her sake to keep up with Ryu.
Zangeif has no attachment to anything.

Well I guess that confirms the roster.
I like the final roster. A little disappointed Phoenix Wright didn't get in, but I have Spencer, Thor, Deadpool, and Haggar, so I'm more than happy. Plus, I LOVE Galactus, and think he'll be a hell of a final boss. I wonder if Taskmaster will have a collection of other players moves like Seth.

Hsien Ko still isn't confirmed, guys. Just another DS character, and a DS character that's appeared in a previous vs game seems much more likely.

Meh I would actually have been more happier with Spider-woman than Taskmaster. The "Copy This" achievement even has the female symbol and the word spider in the description.

But as long as Hsien-Ko is in, I'll be happy.

Obviously I'm going to tell you that you can't prove he's not in the game. But yeah, the idea of him being in the game is a hard one to believe. At least in playable capacity. They couldn't do Silver Surfer or Ghost Rider, so Goblin seems out of the realm of possibility.

I doubt Green Goblin would be in because you always see him with his glider in the comics. They couldn't put in Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider because of their board and bike respectively.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think it's the size that worried them. It's how it would be played. If Green Goblin was on his board, does that mean he would never fall off? He would technically always be hovering and in my mind, he would look weird laying on the ground with his glider still attached to his feet.

But wasn't the issue with those two, specifically Silver Surfer, that they couldn't figure out a way to give him a move set that would work with the vehicle? I think the same rule would apply to Goblin. It just doesn't seem to work. How would he sweep or do launcher combos?

I do know the rider, and there are times when he's off his bike. This would be one of those times. There would be plenty of time for riding in cutscenes and hypers. As for the chains making him Dhalsim, I think they would make him more like Omega Red. But he doesn't have to use them ALL THE TIME, and neither does he have to use his bike ALL THE TIME.

And Penance Stare as a hyper? HELL YES. :O

Your character number total is way off. The character count right now inlcuding jill, shumagorath,& the last 4 announced characters is 32. So just add the taskmaster and other characters on top of that.

Although I will say that Strider and Megaman will probably be DLC just so Capcom can milk us dry. It's all done on purpose. It's the right business move. Albeit a very dick move.

I highly doubt theyre including people based off their storylines/backrounds in the comics/games. Seems more like who they feel would fit into the game and some characters who are popular as of late ie x-23 just got her own series, deadpool who has a ton of diff comic titles out and always makes cameos, viper whos new from sf4 so they included her over able since shed carry over better, etc

As opposed to Goblin, whose only power is throwing pumpkin bombs. Also, most of the characters in this game only have one power. I'm just not seeing how Goblin works. It's not like MODOK, who is only allowed to "hover" because he's so large that it's the same as fighting a standing character. Goblin isn't big, nor is his glider.

Of course sweeping goes both ways. How broken is it to be unable to sweep a character because he's off the ground constantly?
