I like the fact that they made him a lil better, but to me the buffs he received are what he should have had back in vanilla...Ken should be more fun to play...I would have liked to see a better over head, more useful target combo, or more practical way to cancel in his ultra2...for instance wouldnt it be fun for his close standing MK to have juggle property into air tatsu and possible SRK in corners...or since he has no real frame advantage at the end of his reg tatsu why not allow vortex from his short version, or maybe make the Hk focus cancelable, or maybe the Ex version have wall bounce...just a thought.

The importance is, Ken was **THIS CLOSE** to being amazing rushdown in super, what with great footsie tools (c.mk one of the best low pokes in the game, f.mk covers insane horizontal distance), and great mixups with his ambiguous mixups and kara throw. His weakness was that he didn't have a go-to knockdown move, hurricane kick left opponent standing, ex. fireball didn't knock down, and he couldn't combo into his sweep against anyone but T. Hawk.
Get used to ken in a competitive environment, that's all I'm going to say.

It's also important to note that Joon was only testing new links and confirming old ones. We still have a better close standing jab (probably), a stronger TC, and a stronger LP Shoryu, at the least.
The changes to his sweep is subtle, but finally being able to combo into an untechable is really good. the extra speed also helps footsies a little. We can also better use cr. MP for frame traps since it is now + frames on block. Finally, the changes may help give us more damaging combos overall.
Ken always been way better than ryu lol they just tryed to make him suck for some reason in the 4 series lol. which didnt even really work lol.But yeah the first thing that came to my mind is it possible for him to do cr.mp, cr.mp,cr.mk,hadouken or at least everything before the hadouken. seems as capcom actually remembered a complaint I made about kens cr.mp compared to ryus lol. I didnt think they were planing on doing anything about it lol.

I was playing matches on PSN as random picks and 1 match happen to be against Joon, he has a sick ken, crazy mix ups and pressure if you let him. Maybe with the recent buffs we'll see more top kens at EVO.

I would agree, however, no way in hell, at this point, you will ever see Ryu with the priority in his MP shoryuken or cross-up ability in air tatsu that Ken has.
Face it... as long as Capcom keeps listening to all of the Ryu-haters of the world, Ken is "da' man" now.
