RPGFighter has created a handy guide for Yun in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition here on the EventHubs.com forums. Like the guide that was posted the other day, this covers his special moves and ultras, but it also differentiates itself by offering a nice overview of his normal moves, combos and other stuff.• Standing Medium Punch, Standing Light Kick, Lunge Punch
• Crouching Light Punch, Crouching Medium Punch, Standing Light Kick, Lunge Punch
• Crouching Medium Punch (could be LP), Crouching Medium Punch, Standing Medium Punch, Lunge Punch or Light Shoulder Slam or Dragon Kicks
• Crouching Light Kick, Crouching Light Punch, Standing Light Punch, Standing Medium Punch, Hard Dragon Kicks.
• Standing Light Punch, Standing Light Kick, Standing Medium Punch, EX Lunge Punch, Ultra 1. (Corner only?)
I request all Yun and Yang info be removed from the site. Maybe if we hide it, that will soften the blow of all the Ryu players joining the twin army.
i really doubt yun is as easy to use as most people here say. it seems that he really relies on dive kicks and links(seems like his jabs and shorts are links). so he'll prolly have the same weaknesses as rufus
I was trying not to go off topic, people said the same thing about Dudley, ryu and ken scrubs won't drop those dp's for a characters that you have to combo with, trust me, time will tell, after all, some people really do follow all Daigo do....
I don't see the shoto players flocking to twins. Like don't get me wrong they will use him. Though I just don't see them switching to such a different character the whole time.
Yun will not be THAT easy, I mean the links and the fact that you have to keep constant SMART pressure on.
Though hes no Gen, he won't be that hard. I see him in the middle on the difficulty matter.
Lol those are my arguments.
And Yang is being worked on! I am working on his guide too so expect that soon! :D
@#4
Yun also have a decent chunk of target combos that are not listed, so you DONT have to rely on links being difficult or whatever. Mp>FP> B+FP is a target combo. Lp>lk>mp>(target combo) to whatever special. C. FK>S. FK is also one. All which are useful and there are more.
@#6
Yun also have a dp( dragon kicks) which can lead the enemy in a juggled state. So far less likely to trade than ryu srk, but that require people learn how to jump in on Yun to test that out more. And ex dragon kick to ex lunge to U1 should be possible ill try to get that tested out.
Nice Run of the Mill combos for Yun. Seems that Yun is a solid all around character from the transition of his 3rd strike counterpart. Good strengths with combos, special moves, offensive pressure but low stamina, no instant dive kick and not many good pokes will balance him out fairly good; keeping him from having that explosive pressure that rufus has and same would apply to Yang in some aspects but need more Yang info. I have a strange feeling that Yun can't FADC his dragon kicks, Hopefully I'm wrong about that.
Dragon Kicks are not a reliable anti-air move for a couple of reasons.
#1 your opponent would have to jump short and even then there maybe be a trade-off depending on the attack used.
#2 this is better used as a follow up move and a punishing move for grounded opponents.
Nothing replaces Senkyutai as an efficient anti-air but to further differentiate the bros. Yun lost the move altogether in 3rd Strike even though it was different enough than Yang's in Giant Attack.
@ 12 no one will ever truly be happy on here. Perhaps it's trolling or maybe people are just salty because their main still blows but complaining has become commonplace.
Yun/Yang require constant pressure to be successful (Cammy/Rufus). In that regard they might be easy to play as, but not necessarily easy to be successful with. You'll need better reactions to play as them, but they do have many ways to get around projectiles.
Although I think certain zoning characters are going to give them a hard time.
The only Dragon Kick that looks like a reliable anti air is EX. Why would I want to burn a bar of meter to get them out of the air?
Also to the FADC thing about I have not seen 1 video of a Yun FADC'ing DK's. I am pretty sure Yun gets in the air to quick for you to FADC on the ground.
I mean it could be good though. Lol.
So any footage of Daigo's or Kindevu's Yun yet? I really want to see how high level players play Yun. Oh and how bout Yang? Does anyboy know if one of the top players from Japan and or America started playing/maining him? Hopefully Justin Wong picks up Yang for good and not switch to Yun, lol.
As of now no I have yet to see vids of Daigos Yun.
But Genxa seems to have a impressive Yun you should check him out.
And yeah I am waiting for good Yang footage just like you. xD
Scrubs can't handle Target Combos in lag so it won't favor them to play Yun/Yang because they can't mash all day and runaway spamming anti-air normals and fireballs.
If anything Yun/Yang will help weed out bad Shoto players exposing the good ones.
another easy character to pick.....
