The resets are definitely weaker than they could be. Too many of them involved Dudley obviously standing around waiting for the late crumple. While you wait for the late crumple you should do something to keep the opponent's attention and obscure your intentions like neutral jump, forward jump, taunt, fadc or just dash. Also he never went for high/low with c.lk or overhead on any of his resets which is really dumb since Dudley has so many combo options off of both of those moves and there's absolutely no reason to use a mid when you could use a low or high to make it even more difficult for your opponent to guess right.
Still it gives a few good introductory ideas to play with and those fadc resets were pretty cool even though probably way too expensive for most people to spend the meter on in a real match.
@mark_morrison
dudley has never sucked in ssf4 and will not in AE, clearly your not on a level to acknowledge how good he actually is, do you even know what normals of his got buffed lool stop pretending like you know what he needs based on tier lists LMAO.
Struggs: I think this will be not a problem. As soon as you see Dudley dash, ALWAYS block the opposite way.
With Sakura, her reset is different: it requires me to make a guess. But hey... maybe you are right. I have to see that in a game and I will know how hard it is... well hopefully SSF4 will come on PC one day.
@yes4me
you think its harder to block sakura's resets lool dudley has and overhead that leads into more damaging combos while sakura has an overhead that does weak damage and doesn't connect to anything, overall theres more pressure against a character you know that does more dmg/stun and has more mix up opportunities.
Not as tricky as others mixups, but definetly a neat trick. I for one didn't think of this. Interesting clip.
To people saying that it's boring and "bad" mixup...
Have you ever played against a player with decent mixups and tried to block it all in the heat of battle? ofc, if you do it ALL THE TIME people will eventually start to learn what you're going to do, never form a pattern. Like Struggs says, mixups usually are somewhat gambles and even the best can fall for them. They can't have their focus and reflexes at their peak the whole time, they are human after all.
