A second EVO Online SSF4 tournament for PlayStation 3 users will be held on January 22, 2011, and sign ups are now open on Galaxy4Gamers.com.Console failed!!! I been on psn for months now and trust me this is gonna be a disaster. It doesnt exactly have "gawdlike" internet.
Hi all , sorry my english are bad.
So i didn't understand , can i register on this tournament? becouze i am leaving in Israel , or its only for US ?

Sony has the same netcode as XBL. The reason why ranked is perceived to drop more matches is due to Sony conveniently installing a WiFi compatible device inside the system instead of separately selling a 99 dollar dongle for XBL. This is what fuels the perceived "quality" that live users get when playing over XBL. They get what the "paid for" because most are forced to use a wired connection, ergo less overall lag outs, ergo the marketing genius behind microsoft. Deep down, it's the same.
ergo worse back end network, ergo worse play. and I play Vanilla on PC so im not an xbox fanboy.
@#14
Don't really see your point at all. You just threw in ergo without any argument preceding it, and then you throw in that you play PC SFIV to defend that you are not a 360 fanboy. Wat.
you guys should both stop complaining about "PSN this...and XBL that." both systems are great both systems have online both systems play almost the same games. there are some people out there who cant even afford shoes and you guys are here worrying about which system plays faster? c'mon guys its Christmas for crying out loud, just enjoy what you are getting.
...btw who wants to sign me up for Evo =)
PSN, it only does:
RAGE QUITTING
PAUSE STRIKE
LAG OUTS
Yeah this should be good.
i will not pay to play xbox live shiit :D
I've played both systems online at my house with the same connection and ps3 is unbelievably worse. If you honestly think they're the same and tou are calling everyone else xbox fanboys you are the fanboy. PSN takes longer to load up the matches, save afterward, and is like molasses when you're actually playing. Can barely get green confections on there when 360 loads up nearly all green bars.
As we seen with the first evo online, xbox 360 lags too. Like someone said before me its about the player connections, and with some people using wifi on ps3 (wifi = no no for fighting games) it could be why some think its "worse". I had my fair share of lagless battle on PS3 with Tekken 6, Blazblue, MvC2 and SSF4.
Moving on from the console war is any one actually going to sign up im interested but need to prep hard for it and hope I can request the day off.
ergo PSN stinks, ergo. Sorry but even the pros recommend 360. not the same "deep down", er-you-fricken-go 15.
I am glad EVO is showing the PS3 boys some love. BTW, PS3 does have a inferior wireless receiver especially in the old Phat boxes. However, if you hook the bad boy through a wired connection, you will never have any problems with lag issues unless its on your opponents end.
I am getting 30 Mbps download and 3.2 upload through my wired PS3 connection and it is way better and smoother than any of my buddies' XBOX connection.
So, my suggestion to you is to wire that baby up and save yourself $60. And have an almost offline experience everytime.
Microsoft knows networks better than Sony. Simple. Ergo.

END OF POINT.
A question, im from spain, and i wanna know if i could participate on this evo for ps3??? or is only for the usa like the 360???
And I'm guessing this as well is US only?
