Marvel vs Capcom 3 Giveaway!
http://gouki.com/Story/Details/marvel...
OT: I really am glad to see some direct feed, can't wait for it to come out for dlc.
@4 I agree. People thought juri was godlike for the first week or so of ssf4
People said the same thing about Dudley and where is Dudley now? Once players adjust and know more about the Yun match-up, I doubt he'll even be in the top mid tier. At least not with that low health and low damage output.
Check out the Viper vs. Gief fight, they changed C.Viper's death scream, AWESOME!!
omg anyone notice how ryu will not flip anymore after a trade shoryuken?! WTF man, that's some bs again! he's gonna trade ultra all day
FFS capcom, you bunch of morons!
Regarding my last post about Vipers scream, I retract that; didn't realize they were (obviously) playing with Japanese voices, doh!
I hope they don't forget that Yun & Yang is Lee's nephew
@8
A character does not suck if they have balance. It's just the overpowered characters that make them look worse. Dudley and the other mid/low tier characters are actually the most fairly balanced characters in the game.
@10
I truly feel in the next few months, Yun will be exposed and Yang will be a higher ranked character.
Im worried how cammy will play without the use of her instant canon spike.
@6 and @9
nah, yun will be top tier. there is a diffrence between him and dudley/juri. people who werent retarted could tell that those two werent gonna be top tier....
but with yun he isn't lacking, and its not just a bunch of obnoxious little scrubs crying broken this time. I think he is top tier for sure, and i dont think that is going to change.
The Zangief viper matchup is gonna be even more retarded.
Man that was sooo boring, just yun and fei long over and over, capcom took a step back.
Yun built half a bar by whiffing 4 of those pushes...nothing wrong with bthat meter gain, niot like his super is useful or anything
Judging by how long it took yun to gain half a bar, he's gaining over 11 more meter points than guile did with his sonic boom in super.
Takes yun 8 whiffs to gain 1 bar in AE, took guile 13 booms to gain a bar in ssf4...yet Guile's meter gain needed to be cut in half or worse?!
Nothing beats simple mathematics to show imbalance, if this is the final version i hope there's no DLC anytime soon.
Itll prolly take a short while to find the bosses, given the bs capcom usually makes you go through to fight them
I main Zangief and I love the mix-ups after EX Hand. The change seems to be good in certain situations and bad in others....but it does look like Yun/Fei Long/Zangief are top tier in this game.
Fei Long looks amazing, but I need to see a good E. Honda player get into AE since the one in the video wasn't that good.
Also, Zangief's SPD damage is pretty scary....xD
@ 26, 27
Quit complaining. At least Yun has to walk forward to do damage.
Boring because everyone was playing the same characters over and over. Nothing but Yun, Fei, and Dudley.
Idk 28 but do you know when this coming out for console???
@35
He's not a fireball character so that justifies blatant imbalance? Can't say fireball characters were imbalanced since vanilla, guessing you didn't even play that one.
@ 39
I love how defensive you get. Just shows your biases and inadequacies. How is it "blatant imbalance?" Guile is a charge, fireball character that only walks backwards. While Yun is a melee character that has to walk forward. So it seems fair to me that he can gain meter faster than Guile. Cause he's the one that's going to be doing work being aggressive in a defensive game.
What do you mean how is it blatant imbalance? Did you read the mathematical explanation? Durr how is it more of an advantage to have a movement/damage restriction in a fighting game? Yuns super is by far the best in the game, so it makes sense that he can WHIFF moves and build meter faster than a character who apparently needed to get nerfed?
It really hasn't been a defensive game since vanilla, like i said. Yun can really do whetever the hell he wants. he can land any attack with his myriad of offensive options and then just chill fullscreen, nothing you can do about it.
You take too long and he'll just get his super because it's absurdly easy to get, then goodluck to you.
I think 99.99% of this community knows that Street Fighter, both Vanilla and Super, is a defensive oriented game. The only characters that are offensive and can do well are Rufus, Cammy, Abel, and Viper.
Don't try to talk big about a characters offensive capabilities when the game just came out and try to make it seem like your character (Guile) turned to sh*t. He was so good at walking backwards that only a handful of the cast to get in on him.
You are, by far, the most biased idiot on this site. Also, stop saying "durr." It makes you sound even more stupid.
I think 99.99% says it's defense oriented, but that many people don't know what they're talking about and that's why we had people last game crying about how x character needs nerfs, when it's such a balanced game.
Bispon is a defensive character since when? Chun li is pretty offensive, all the new characters are offensive, ken is offensive, ryu is pretty offensive...dhalsim isn't top tier, what are you talking about?
You know that if someone walks backwards then you only need to walk forwards and..there the corner is! Any idiot can get in on a player who does that, maybe even you.
I'll stop saying durr when kids like you stop saying dumb things, i bet you pick up a new game first.
......... /facepalm
We must not be playing the same game. 99% of the community agrees that this is a defensive-oriented game, except you. And apparently in your mind, everyone is wrong.
Bison, Chun, Ryu, and Dhalsim are all defensive characters. Ken is a little mix of both.
You are pretty much saying the complete opposite of reality. How delusional are you? What fantasy world are you living in?
What did i just tell you about the community? Noone is dumb enough to say Bison is a defensive character, maybe you should look up the definition?
Hell, i can go over the ENTIRE cast for this game and pretty much find less than 10 defensive characters.
Guile,dhalssim,honda,gouken,rose,sagat, ryu on and off really, that's 7 characters out of 35. You may think that's a pretty good ratio but anyone who knows numbers knows it's a bad score.
This is why bad players think everything needs to be nerfed. There's more to this game than just jumping in like an idiot. Just because a player can punish sloppy/non-existant footsies or careless jumpins, doesn't make him defensive. If he's constantly in your face pushing you to the corner, it's not defensive.
Maybe you're just another pathetic troll. Hard to tell who's trolling between idiots who want blanka ball nerfed and guys who can't outsmart a player who does nothing but walk backwards.
Btw, good new for AE for everyone who's not a troll:Oh, also, AE feels SUPER balanced. I have no idea what the hell the tier list could possibly look like right now. I haven't encountered anything that strikes me as stupid over powered or stupid under powered. Everything feels really solid and I'm having a lot of fun playing matchups I used to hate. Ryu is like, my favorite match to play now. They better release a DLC. Not doing so would be the stupidest thing ever.
That's coming from a Guile player
@44 Bison is not defensive and by the way you mentioned 4 out of 30 freaking 5 characters! Non of the characters are defensive, it depends on the player. Except Dhalsim, because he sucks up close
@Evobiohazard
Guile, Sagat, Dhalsim, Ryu, E. Honda, Balrog, and chun-li are all characters that are played mostly defensively, you can play offensively but its pretty obvious that you get easier damage from turtling it up. cept dhalsim.. dunno if you can be offensive upclose with him.
That maybe only 7 out of 35 characters, but they are all top characters so its what you'll mostly see in the scene.
Balrog is pretty offensive in this game actually. Anytime i see him being played by anyone who knows what they are doing, he's constantly using footsies and trying to push his opponent into the corner. Ryu has the best offensive links in the game so obviously he'll use them...
How are all of those top characters? Adon, akuma,abel,cammy, viper,fei,ibuki dont count? Because you see those characters constantly on "the scene". I could go on but no need to mention all but the seven ACTUAL defensive characters in the game.
Like i said, just because someone can punish idiotic jumpins or non-existant footsies, doesn't mean they are defensive. I mean cammy has damn good defense but i don't think anyone is dumb enough to say she's a turtle character.
Then again, apparently bison is defensive so...
That first Dudley is gutter trash and shouldn't be considered a reflection of what Dudley would be like in the hands of a SKILLED player.
First off, let's put this straight. Having footsies does not mean they are offensive characters. Footsies are meant to poke your opponent, do damage YET KEEP THEM OUT. Basically it's to control space. Just because a character has footsies/pokes does not make them a offensive character.
Balrog is a character meant to lame it out. What do all pro balrog players say when they face characters like Rufus, Fei Long, Cammy, Viper. They all say the same damn thing. "LAME IT OUT!!!!!" You know what that means? It means stay the F@## away and just turtle. Doing occasional jab pokes and st/cr HK does not mean he's a offensive character.
Offensive characters are those that have to completely get in your face to do damage.
Having footsies doesn't mean they are defensive either, that's why i brought them up. As soon as you said bison was defensive i pictured some little kid running and jumping all over the place swearing as he loses. What possible reason could someone have for calling bison defensive if they have ANY knowledge of footsies?
Where do all balrog players want their opponent? In the corner...pro or not.Pretty sure that if your opponent is in the corner and you have no fireball, you have to get in their face. So what, anyone with good pokes is defensive? Omg cammy is totally defensive guys, guy and viper are the only offensive characters in the game!
If we go by the awesome definition you just used, 2 of the four characters you said were defensive are still offensive. Last time i checked chunli wasn't all about her fireball and bison doesn't even have one. LOL@ken being a mix of defensive?
oh my god yun looks so cool, too bad his focus attack isn't as godly as yang's
