Kirbykirbykirby noticed that the Unity Crew did a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 live stream this morning. Capcom's Seth Killian jumps on around 40 minutes into the clip below.

He does some light character walkthroughs, along with explaining various gameplay mechanics.

Here are a few notes from the stream.

• They laughed off the statements that some characters weren't included because of technical reasons, or RAM limitations, saying that their programmers are more than capable of setting characters on fire, Super-Skrull's flame Hyper move was used as an example. This debunks one of the rumors floating around about characters like Human Torch and Frank West not being included because of technical reasons.

• Seth said that throws are powerful in general in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Tron Bonne, C. Viper and Storm have some really good stuff off of throws.

• Amaterasu has an infinite, which Seth tried to pull it off. One of her assists is also "super good."

• X-23 can delay or cancel her hop move, which eliminates the recovery. Seth said that she has something akin to the Run Stop Fierce loop with El Fuerte in SSF4 with her.

• Spider-man can do his Web Zip in multiple directions and even attach it to the other characters and combo afterwards. Coupled with his Web Swing, he has a ton of mobility.

• Hulk has like a 300% damage OTG (off the ground) combo.

how does super skrulls hyper "debunk" the rumored reason for human torch not being in the game? the hyper lasts a few seconds and human torch would be on fire for the entire match, bit of a difference there.

I thought that info about Spidey was obvious from the his announcement videos.

It's a nice feature, just a shame Spidey looks like he has no variety to his combos. All the the videos show the same (very short) type of combo.

That would make sense that technical issues is not an issue because of the technology in these days, they're just fooling with us. Flame effects do take a lot,but the technology they have is more than enough.

I liked how they acted like they didn't know who taskmaster was lol. That could be a hint that he's not in, I prefer Moon Knight over him. They mentioned manga Sentinel and Scrooge McDuck lol. Scrooge better not be in there,Howard would be better than him.

Sorry I don't think Hsien-Ko is in,but I do think Mega Man will be DLC, which obviously be Mega Man X. I think Sentinel, Thanos,and M. Bison have a good chance of being in. But I want Sentinel to be replaced with Apocalypse.
I think they're going to reveal characters that people would not expect this weekend.

How depressing. My first comment was posted before I even got a chance to watch the video, now I just fear Spidey is even worse than I thought.

Seth is specifically asked to demo Spidey, asked what makes him different from MvC2 Spidey and the just starts webzipping around the screen. We are told you can't do anything after Crawler Assault. Seth's mind goes blank, so he switches to Ammy and insantly pulls of a character finishing combo.

Great. Spider-Man is such a poorly developed character that a main promoter struggles to demo him.

So Capcom KNOWS there are infinites (they should never exist) in this game and they're openly demonstrating them? With the noob controls being added to the game as well, this is going to be bad.

And a Hulk 300% OTG combo.. I thought Capcom were all for balance and such (SSF$ AE).

Catalyst, Amaterasu's "super good" assist is the Cold Star. Fires for about 1.5 seconds, freezes the opponent and keeps them grounded. Really good.

i think its important to mention that he never really said there was an infinite, and from what i saw if that does connect, its only on big characters like striders infinite or storms infinite.......

and its the motha fckin hulk, if your able to land a hit with that big ass dude, you deserve the damge
