Also, here's a theory as to why Magneto was there :
Magneto get's the T-Virus because he believes that it will save the mutants from another Holocaust by the humans, because Magneto is a Jew, which is why he saved Colossus in CotA's ending, because he don't really hate mutants, he's attempting to keep the humans from making another Holocaust, but with the mutants as the Jews.
So, basically, he's like Wesky, except the Mutant version and he ain't infected. That's my theory.

This trailer does help to show Capcoms lack of villains in this game. Anyone else agree that with the storyline they're going for Capcom should be sporting more villains? I know fighting game storylines are irrelevant, but still.
For the long wait, it was pretty short. Kind of underwhelming compared to the first two, but still really entertaining nonetheless.
The fact that Spiderman wasn't in it though means there's obviously going to be an Episode 4. Other than him, Thor, She Hulk, Felicia, Spencer, and Zero have yet to appear.

Capcom has no one threatening on on their side or hold there own weight against half the marvel roster at all but Wesker himself as far as villains are concerned, if you want to talk fighters then we can say Dante, Zero, and maybe Morrigan can hold their own against some of the marvel cast the rest are cartoony and Human Characters. Episode 3 is still epic but Authur kinda messed up that dark serious tone to it.
Earlier I posted my about the lack of Capcom villains, but it also got me thinking. I'm just curious, but you think C. Viper will be play a villain in this game or an anti-hero?

It would b cool if he were right, except for the Hagger part, he would b a waste of a character slot. He's so bland and theres nothing really special about him, at least the human characters on capcom side have gadgets or projectiles to make things interesting, but Mike Hagger has nothing. I still love the game, but I'll b disappointed if Mike Hagger's in the game.

For the life of me i don't understand why Capcom keeps promoting C.Viper so heavily! First the collectible figuring in SF IV Collector Edition for Europe when the protagonist was supposed to be Abel. Then, again, Abel gets the elbow while MadCatz and Capcom create a V.Ciper fightstick. Now she is MVC3 and again there is a lot of push for her. Don't they understand that the vast majority absolutely hates her??? Sure, for this game she might be ideal but come on, i want the most liked characters to get the promo and spotlight and feature on merch etc, not the least liked
um they should have shown this at nycc. this trailer has no purpose since we already know all these characters have been in the game for a while. it looks nice but thats about it. im sure you all would rather watch unannounced characters instead.

His account got deleted and another dude came out yesterday to defend him as well. Sentinel,phoenix,taskmaster,akuma and hagger are up next to be revealed and Hiesn ko oh and galactus is the final boss

100% agree. I think Capcom thinks we like her more than we really do. She also was the focus of that SFIV anime, and was the only newcomer to get her own fightpad.

@Quas actually it was pretty good if you had an assist that would let you combo into it, or you could DHC into it from certain ones. Plus it sets up for an otg at the end.

Kind of old news now. I posted that link the next day. It's all speculation at this point until tomorrow's Jump Festa. That guy's twitter account got deleted, either Capcom trying to silence him for leaking or the guy trolled and bailed, who knows. If the list is true, I'm content with it. Although, I really hope Bison makes it to DLC and I don't think I'm alone on that one.

Hagger don't have gadgets but he has weapons. In his game he picks up a ton of weapons to help him, Pipes, knives, 4X4's, Katana's ect. This is Marvel vs. Capcom where people like Wesker can pull a Missle out of his ass and throw it down at you, im sure Hagger Will be somewhat interesting.

To tell you the truth MvC3 roster suck. How are they going to forget the whole handshake that Ryu and Cyclops did in every MvC game and leave out Cyclops, And add Zero over Megaman. Don't get me wrong I like zero more, but Megaman has been in the ride for to long to get knock off the roster. C'mon Marvel & Capcom without those two it doesn't have the right to even call this game Marvel vs Capcom 3. maybe Marvel vs (TvC version) Capcom.

Compared to the previews intros, this one wasn't that great. They are only telling you story I guess. X 23 against Magneto can't happen. Magneto would do anything he wants to x 23. My fellow Bison fanboys, we can live in hope that this laboratory has a connection with Bison. I can make a lot of points for this storyline-wise.
- Umbrella has always had some sort of funding for it's projects. Consequently, Shadowloo funds these types of projects.
- Shadowloo has a history of human experimentation.
- There is a considerably large amount of purple in this episode (Psycho Power).
- The setting of this episode closely resembles Bison's opening cinematics in SF4 and SS4F.
- Bison and Wesker have a same goal of self perfection and power.
I know that this seems like a Resident Evil setting, but if you consider the facts above you could understand how this would be possible.
Not to bash on Akuma, but he's not evil in the way Bison is; He's a loner and hates everyone. He does like the concept of "Henchmen," but rather doing things single handedly. I think he was a bad choice for the "evil" role because he's an evil "Lone Wolf."
Also to point out, that the new leaker slipped and said that M. Bison is in. He did say Akuma was picked for the Japanese fan base, but didn't say Akuma was picked over Bison. To also note, he said they had 4 characters from the street fighter series in the selection process, and said Juri, Guile, Bison, and C.Viper were candidates, but C. Viper and Bison were the ones picked as last remaining Street Fighter reveals. Sounds like to me to that Bison is in, and Akuma is a secret character reveal.
If Akuma is in.....then Gouken is right behing him(hopefully)...that "hand" that was reaching out to ryu in episode 1 has me scratchin my head to this day...Gah!! I hope he makes it. Maybe DLC...

Just a prediction:
M. Bison is going to come out of no where and hit Magneto from behind, Wesker will take it from Magneto, but Sentinel senses X-men in the area and comes by and blasts the building causing an explosion. Spider Man is on the building, and sees a couple of characters falling, he catches Arthur, they attack Sentinel while Wesker and friends get away. Hulk throws a rock at Sentinel and causes it to crash, but Magneto ignores Hulk and continues to try and get the T Virus thingy and go after Wesker. After Sentinel is defeated, Hulk and friends go after Magneto and others. Meanwhile, as Dormammu appear,Storm comes in to fight him, but is knocked away. The Phoenix appears and they get into a fight, and everyone else shows up battling it out good versus evil. Dormmamu and the Phoenix uses too much power, but the Phoenix becomes Dark Phoenix and they both cancel out each other creating a big portal with Galactus showing up and all of the characters pause and behold Galactus and the fate of both worlds are in danger because Galactus. That's just my guess of what could happen with the story.

The point was she didn't have that in SF2. The one where she kicks you up in the air where you can continue to combo. She definitely didn't have the Kikosho either.
I'm saying that the MvC3 Chun li is not based off of her SF2 incarnation but rather bits from all the ones she was in.
Just to mention on what makes the leaks sound a bit fake, and this is obvious evidence.
1. They said NO Mega Man, Niitsuma said there will be 1 Mega Man, one of his iterations.
2.Forty characters have been confirmed at least for the regular build, but they said 6 more left, but we actually have 10, DLC characters makes 42. Six will make 36, but adding the DLC will be 38 according to the leaks.
3.The "New" leaker said Jill and Shuma will not have their own music themes, but Niitsuma said that ALL characters will have their own them music.
4.Leaks always come right after character reveals, they are too predictable. Sounds like they know each other, but claim they don't. I do think they are at least half right, but are playing games, they could be even dudes from Capcom to throw us off so we can become surprised when a character appears that we didn't think make it in. (yes, I am saying that this could also be planned by Capcom)
5.As you read some of the info,some of it sounds contradictory.
6.Didn't they said no more Darkstalkers beyond Felicia and Morrigan, at least that was reported up here and Shoryuken.com, but could of been a mistranslation and didn't mean there wasn't one more Darkstalker character.
Those are obvious clues to some of the falseness on those leaks. I do like to note that so far ALL of the Capcom side is 100% correct according to the very first leak list, but were still missing some characters.
We will know for sure this week if those two characters Hsien-Ko and Phoenix will be revealed if the leak was true. If you don't see Hsien-Ko that's a sign to say she might not be in, and that this website translated that accurately. Me personally thing the reveals will be ROBOTs.
I'm still waiting for a epic fight scene with Chun li n it darn Capton America and his awsomenes "sigh" oh and @130 i agree there seems to be combonations of her fast speed and a few normals that was n sf2 not menton her specails and her two supers that was n sf3TS with the exception of a new level 3 move that looks like a combonation of her ultra 1 ssf4 and her 3super sf3TS.

not sure why you guys are bickering about which iteration of Chun Li they're using and what moves she does or doesn't from have in SF2. because by that logic Ryu shouldn't be doing a majority of the moves he has in MvC 3. I mean he can do Air Shinku's now and control which direction it shoots out from his hands as in MvC 1 and 2 and TvC they could only go forward. The SF characters are just reppin' which SF they came from. that's it.

Look at the roster you got (which was not at all easy to make, by the way, since 2D does NOT equal 3D), and be thankful Capcom's doing their best to make this fresh and not just "MVC2 But 3D This Time" while under the supervision of Marvel. This game looks like a blast, and you know it. And if you STILL want to hate, go ahead. Capcom doesn't care, Marvel doesn't care, and I don't care. It would waste just as much time as arguing over 3S and SSF4. Nobody wins. So, I'm just gonna sit back and wait for this awesome game to be released.

I know a bit about animation, actually Human Torch would take more memory than Sentinel. Special effects like flames, smoke, and etc, would take more memory to render especially if it's on the character the entire time. Sentinel could easily be a low poly character, and even the small characters he summon out would be a small amount of memory, compare to flames and other special effects. The small bots would be very low poly characters.If they were to over do Sentinel giving him to many details with the modeling process, he would take a lot of memory then. But in the gaming industry characters are always at low poly,except those you see in the trailers.
Besides,originally, I thought that the Fantastic Four was out due to Super Skrull able to use all of their powers, and would be more interesting.

What if Kennox is lying, what if his/her claim is not true, how do we know for sure if this individual is truthful or lying? Just because the account is no longer there doesn't means it was got removed for releashing info.

Even the Silver Surfer leak was true, because Niitsuma right out and said he was in, but they just couldn't incorporate him. According to what they said, they had him modeled, rigged,animated and so forth. Sounds like the Silver Surfer didn't have an interesting move set as well, which could also be why he wasn't in, well I'm just speculating don't really know.
Oh yeah,didn't Niitsuma say "Mega Man fans will have to wait?" He didn't say Zero fans lol.
Let's just wait and see what happens. Who cares who's right? They're doing what they're going to do. I find it's less stressful to not believe any leaks and just wait for info. At least I know Capcom ain't trollin' when they announce new characters.

What's on the pages C.Viper is holding up? One of the oulines looks like a picture of someone giving the "peace" symbol with their hand out, and the other looks like a woman flying through the air to me (The page closest to us).
What the f*** does capcom have against Thor?
1. He seems like a mid to low tier character. This isn't something you can hold against them too much (if at all) as balancing is REALLY hard.
2. He seemingly doesn't have a level 3 super. He's been out for a long time and not a hint of it has been shown. With the game practically done I doubt he'll get one.
3. He was released before some of the characters in the 2nd Episode were. Now not only does he not get a spot in the third one, but Hulk and Chris get ANOTHER spot.

@155 yea, she may not be real but the whole point of art no matter if its drawn or computerized the goal from the artist is to give the person a certain reaction if its a picture of a hot babe then the expected response is suppose to be "wow she looks sexy" it doesnt make you look weird because you are a guy and you know a hot or sexy woman when you see one rather if she is real or just a drawn and the artist accomplished what he or she was set out to do from the response they were looking for.

Even if the Jump Festa stuff is true, which I wouldn't be surprised if it is, that doesn't add or subtract any validity to that twitter account. All the roster updates she/he spouted were on a rumor list from two or three weeks ago.
I'm not saying the person is lying. I'm just saying I don't understand why you're so determined to defend them. Can you at least accept the possiblity that someone on the internet took a two or three week old rumor, and added onto it?
I hope you don't take this as trolling, just having a bit of point-counterpoint here. I wouldn't exactly call it hard, since we already knew the game would be at Jump Festa. It wouldn't be shocking to assume that a new build would be there, since the game hasn't had a new build shown to the public since TGS (I could be wrong, let me know if I am).
I'm not afraid of biting, I buy into it too. They did get suspended after all. That said there's always that voice in the back of my head that says "could be trolling".

hell ono even said that it is more then likely going to be no more darstalker characters, so if he bet against what the interview and prior data hinted at AND got it right, no way hes just a normal troll
and sure he couldve gotten it off the list would it would still be really hard to guess when wich character would be revealed

If I were to nerf Sent, I'd add more recovery to his fly/unfly, slow down his flight mode altogether, not to where it's useless, but slightly slower. Also nerf the damage to his rocket punch and drone super, among others. I'd keep the juggle on it though just nerf the initial damage since it scales anyways.

wasnt his f;y/unfly crap bug related. From the gameplay videos so far looks like no one has any super armor really. So most likely sentinel wont either, also the toning down of helper spam is another strike at the old school sentinel air combos. So slowing him down in the air and lowering his damage as well would just make him a huge slow target unable to do much. Granted i hated how sentinel ended up in mvc2 i still like him as a character and would welcome him again(also would like to hear a remix theme from COTA).
For the people who are exited about the "leaked" list, sorry, the guy already said that it was bullcrap. He did a good job, I mean, people really believe anything they read in the internet, nice experiment :D... and about the video, HOLY FRICKIN' BALLS WESKER!!! Exactly everyone! We already have 4 X-Men characters, we ain't gonna get more. It was a;so stated that we were getting no more Darkstalkers so why do you guys think Hsein-Ko's even possible for the in game roster? Anyway Sentinel is way to big anyway, if we get any robot from Marvel we'd get Ultron who's an acceptable 6 feet tall.

Hey, wouldn't it be so cool if Seth was in this game? I mean you got Ryu & Chun-Li reppin the old SF, while Viper & Seth rep the new SF? Plus, he's like 5 characters in 1 (maybe a couple more if you include Abel & Rufus). Just a thought. On topic, I think Wesker is a little pissed off that Magneto took his T-Virus or bio weapon. Lol got $5 sayin that they'll get killed by Dormammu lol.
Hopefully they make this super realistic (canon) and have the Magneto vs. Wolverine/X-23 matchup as 10-0 in favor of Magneto. And 9-1 against Arthur cause he can lose his armor.

I hope capcom doesn't add another female DarkStalker I mean seriously, where are the male characters. Ok, they already stated the reason why the couldn't use Demitri, but there are a ton of others they could have used. In a interview Ono stated that he wanted to use Donovan, he said that Donovan was perfect for MVC3. Instead Capcom loads their roster with a ton of female characters. They could have added Jedah or even Jon Talbain. Also it's funny how Capcom also said that they don't have any villians..I laughed and was thinking WTF? you mean you don't have VILLIANS??? You have M.Bison(SFII), Seth(SFIV), Gill(SFII), Akuma(SFII), Sagat(SF), Juri(SFIV), Jedah(DS3), Virgil(DMC), Vega(SFII), Garuda(SF3EX), Devil King(DK) and I can keep going.

I just don't understand why we didn't get her over She-Hulk? Well, it's too early to tell; We'll probably get both. If not, although i love Shulkie, Ms. Marvel would've been my choice.

BTW, if we get Phoenix, whom I couldn't care less about, wouldn't that bring our X-Men reps to 5 characters? Which would mean that we'd be getting 2 more SF reps. So, all of your Akuma over Bison and vice verse would be irrelevant as both have a chance presently. Bison, because he's Capcom's premier villain and fits the game well. Akuma, because he has a backstage cameo.
Another thing, if we were to get Sentinel and Phoenix, that would bring our X-Men reps to 6. I just don't think we'll be seeing many more X-Men on the final disk.
I'm sure that the XM and SF reps will be even as them 2 franchises started it all.
