Video details some of Abel's option selects in Super Street Fighter 4

I just wanna ask, how exactly do u perform option selects :S? Like in this video, do you do the c.hk immediately after pressing c.lk? If someone can explain the timing or give me a link to a video that explains it, much appreciated :D

first u press c.lk the press c.lk&c.hk at the same time. Becasue c.lk chains if the first one hits the 2 second c.lk will come out if it misses c.hk would come out because it has more priority

light what cancel?
mash DP? look at 2:10, delayed crouch tech OS dash covers your mashing.

any good player will read your dp mashing and bait you hard. this is for high level play.

I think he meant he waits until after the first cr. lk to start mashing. So he's gonna start mashing during a block string, which would make the option selects pointless... unless you read the mash.

Great video but the user-friendlyness of this game with all the auto corrects and such makes me glad Marvel is coming out soon.

why would it make the option select pointless? cr. lk can be hitconfirmed into more cr. lk or cr. lp hit confirm block string

If you're right, then that just opens him up to a straight up f. MK tick throw/ TT. If he's blocking waiting for that first cr. LK, he'll eat it, and then he has to reconsider his options, which is what Abel wants to do: keep pushing you towards guesses that he can predict and capitalize on.
