Elektra I say is plausible but the akuma one I think is a bit too elaborate, I mean would capcom be so elaborate with easter eggs to hint at a character that wouldn't even be surprise whether or not he gets in?

I went to look back at the video with Akuma, and sure enough, at 1:25 and 1:37, there he is, clear as day.
I love it when these little tidbits are in a game like this paying tributes to other characters such as Akuma and Electra. Amazing.

@29: Because a still image that's barely noticable in the background is confirmation of Akuma being playable.
By that logic, Servbot should be playable too, since he's all over the place in the Legends stage. And every character who appears in the background of other stages should be playable.

Also, on the VERY rightmost part of the stage, there are wood planks placed together on the rocks that form the "Ten" symbol, (of course, the infamous mark that Akuma wears on his back, also means Heaven, Sky, etc.)

Actually based from experience, characters which are used as tributes(artwork, backgrounds etcetc.) in it's games usually results as them as non playable characters.
So this to me seems that 99%, Akuma won't be in the game.
is Elektra popular enough to be revealed in japan next weekend like how they did with spider man at tgs?
we all know akuma would have fans roaring if he's revealed in japan next weekend so that's not even a question to ask. it could be possible but mega man's birthday is next week also and that would be an amazing reveal to celebrate IF he's in the game.

If Akuma is in this game then it will be very disappointing. Why do people want a shoto clone character in this game? SSFIV has enough clones so Capcom should keep those guys out of MVC3.

I want Psylocke back in the game, although that would make the team of MSP a strong factor for me not to wanna play this game. It would've been cool to have Black Panther though or Nightcrawler.

If you'll note, of the other companies that have made Strider games, they all had to license it from Capcom first (although it is strange to note that due to multimedia collaboration that created Strider, the NES version of the game is just as legitimate as Capcom's primary version).
In short, yes, Capcom does own the rights to use Strider.
Wouldn't surprise me because the fact that Viper is in the game proves that whoever's in charge of MVC3 is devoted to putting in the absolute worst characters of all time. Elektra must be second highest on their list next to Viper.

What game are you playing? He plays exactly the same as all other shotos except maybe 1 or 2 moves that makes his playstyle "different."
i'm not really sure why everyone is jumping to conclusions and automatically assuming this stage confirms Elektra and/or Akuma.
I mean, I can kinda see why they'd think Elektra, but still nothing is set in concrete.
But the Akuma thing is nothing more than an easter egg, if he's in, that's certainly not the reason why he's in.
I don't think any other shoto is gonna make it in, just due to the fact they seem to be avoiding clone characters.
it does not matter who's in,after a couple of weeks players choosing their favorite ones,people are going to pick top tier teams anyways.

@81 since dec 18 or 19th is megaman's birthday,could possibly be megaman thats revealed next,characters are getting revealed faster and faster since theres only 2 1/2 months untill the game is released,same goes for stages also.
also,heard someone post eariler about fatalities or something like that,so whoever is into mortal kombat,another character is being revealed for mortal kombat 9 also soon.

I don't think people will tier whore too much in this game. The reason everyone only picked Storm, Sentinel, and Magneto in MVC2 was because the game was broken and they were BY FAR the best characters in the game. Think of Sagat from vanilla SFIV and then give him crack. That's how many miles ahead those three were better than the rest of the cast.
Just as long as this game is not broken like MVC2 then people will probably play their favorite characters.
I, for one, will be playing a wide variety of characters. I want to have teams for at least half the cast :)

Capcom should borrow the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Wanna see how they look with a capcom makeover. Everyone grew up watching them, and people keep making them look like crap with these awful games. Rmika looks alot like a ninja turtle. Without a shell and green skin. When are they gonna announce any onimusha characters. Also more SF characters. (my opinion) but wouldn't el fuerte be a perfect character for MvC3. Everyones saying cvip, but i dont think so.

Well, it's just a homage of Akuma battling it out with Ryu. I wish they could put him in some how, maybe as a hidden character of DLC.
