GaRreTT meets me at the train station and we get a ride with the founding fathers of Dutchnoobz and discuss the history of fighting games in Holland. At the tournament I speak with several Dutch players, Ferdi top Dutch SSF4 player, with Thompson from Germany, Jinxz from Custom Joystick company Shadaloo and several other competitors.
My focus wasn't "Who are the best players in Holland?" it was to get a cross section of players thoughts about the fighting game community in Holland and cram it into a 15 min video for youtube.
There is no "they" really, just me and my crusty digital camera and 1 day at the DutchNoobz2 tourney. I spoke with whoever I bumped into, who other players pointed out to me at the tournament, and who wanted to be in the travel log.
ChaozTheory is really good. He made an awesome comeback vs Thomson after Thomson knocked him into losers only to loose to Bushin. Kyoko Manjii also did really well. Heaps of players in pools got knocked out by other good players.
There are plenty of awesome players not shown in this episode, it would be impossible to feature them all really. Like I said being the best wasn't my focus. Hopefully though this vid encourages more players to get involved in the awesome Dutch scene.
Sorry it didn't feature enough of your favorites. Hopefully someone else takes the time to make a video on the Dutch scene and gets a chance to feature even more of it's top ranked players.
I'm pretty sure Ferdi is the best player in Holland. Great video.
Nice video. The Netherlands have the best players after France. The problem with the dutch (turkish) guys are, they can't go to international tournaments. Ferdi, Miza, Momi. There are ton's of good players, which aren't known international. Soon, we will rise to top.
True that Ercan, here we come :D
also lol @ Sakagami, way to miss the point, you never fail to crack me up XD
Exactly Samurai, don't care about stuff like getting beaten, go, have fun and learn how to not get beaten like it in the future :)
Didn't know there were so many people from Europe who went to this site, usually I see a lot of sites that seem to cater to different areas. It would be nice to be able to see where everyone was from.
Never knew Holland had a decent scene either.. sucks Belgium has no scene whatsoever.. :/
Cool to see DeadlyCreampuff irl though, I've come across you a couple of times on XBL.. might remember me, I play Claw exclusively.
So i guess drakenslag.com is the Dutch SSFIV place to be? Might check it out due to the lack of a Belgian one <_<
You sure theres no Belgian one? Took me two months before I bumped into a fellow dutchy that showed me Drakenslag. (otherwise maybe its time you started one eh :P)
and yeah I remembered the name :)
Love the not mentioning any of the other countires in europe, but whatevs.
Still I'll back up Holland as 2nd best yall :P
There should be a Euro Evo seriously I would love to see that.
We kind of already invaded the US on a november 27 tournament. Ferdi beated Mike Ross and then Lamerboi in the finals.
Sweden is pretty good to btw. IMO they have the best Sakura player in the world.
Aye smashing, I wouldn't discount any of the euro countries from having hidden gems. France is well known for numerous and England for Ryan Hart. CPT Munta has done a great job creating awareness of many different SF communities, it's up to us to get players more known as well :)
(euro evo? we totally need one)
WTF, you guys are dreaming right?
First of all, I respect all the other countries. But Bushin and I, f**** almost all of the guys in last Cannes. SVB Bushin won of Ryan Hart, 1 match though but still it is possible(see youtube). I know, Ryan is good and better than Bushin, but Ferdi is another level. And for me, I was good at vanilla, back in the days, I rapped all europe guys, with no disrespect :D...But that was Sagat. Now with hakan is harder. But soon I will be on top again. Soo, I hope Ferdi reads this post and next time he will join us to SVB or Dreamhack and show the real turkish pride. No hard feelings other countries, except France.
@ Douwe
haha, dont make me laugh.
i play with the top players alot, kyoko chaoz jeffrey yagaha thebook you name them, and they reconize me.
you dont know anything about me, just because i havent been to DN means i dont play with good players? for your information i Only play with good players, i stopped playing online a whole while ago i play offline alot with some of the best of holland. exept not ferdi, since i sold my 360 ages ago.
you probably listen too much to those retards on DS like MBR who are good at talking trash, but if you knew me good you would talk about me that way.
add me if you like, lets play some casuals =)
and @ 12 DeadlyCreampuff
i didnt miss the point Moron, it was just something that i quickly noticed.
its always good to see alot of top players in a documentary, especially when its a documentary of your own country wich you dont see alot, and then it has only a handfull of good players in the video, thats dissapointing.
You once again miss the point, not me
and @ CptMunta, im sorry if i came over as offending. but theres no need to take it that heavily.
i just talk that way, i wasnt mad or anything.
i dont care about the dutch scene at all, the scrubs always talk trash and dickride the better players, and most Good players are inmature, cocky, or think they know everything.
some are very kind and relaxed, but you can barely count them on 2 hands.
thats a fact sadly..
Reading the rest of the post, it's clear you still didn't get it. Nice to see you still get angry at nothing, you could really do with sitting back, relaxing and thinking before you flip your lid.
CPT Munta while travelling with his family looked up local SF communities and have a chat with them about them. Actually you should just read Muntas first reply, it said it already and anything I say will be reiterating.
@31, last time I played kyoko in tourney I gave him 2-0 with ease. And I'm nowhere near dutch top. your 'top' isn't top at all.
I saw ur youtube vids, you are the worst ibuki I've ever seen.
@36 Come on, I'm sure you've seen way worse, online is a big place^^
He just needs to not get wound up about how his opponent plays and realises the only way to get them to play different is by punishing them for being predictable and/or bad. If something keeps working? Ask yourself why it does, can't blame your opponent for sticking with what works :P
@ mooiboyroy, so what, you beat him yea and? that doesnt say jack. Kyoko is better than you, way better.
and my videos on youtube are old they are Void, thats when i played ibuki for like 3 months and only online, i play alot different these days.
your the most overrated and most retarted player of holland "Literally" dont make me laugh, you always talk trash and troll on forums. while in real life your a pussy, im not even going to take words seriously from a failure of a person like you haha.
fight me add my psn, or meet me in real life. and then talk sh*t in my face like you do on forums.
@ deadly creampuff
my #33 was all truth, and you know it.
and are you talking about. i was never angry, do i seem angry? cause im not, i wont get angry about some internet comments.
you dont know and understand me at all, why do you even reply. your replies are always misplaced : )
Haha, you are really funny.
You don't know jack sh*t about me really.
You always stay home when there's something going on and still go hatin' on here or on drakenslag.
So there's no way I could talk sh*t to your face because you don't show up.
Plus, no top player even knows you while they know me and I play offline with them on a regular basis.
The way I see it Saka you're making a big deal over nothing Cpt. doesn't have to do this but guess what he's kind enough to this while traveling with his family so to Cpt. thank you very much for doing this for not only the Euro scene but also the SF community as a whole for showing that growth is everywhere I honestly don't care if they are "top" players or not in these vids.
Also you or I weren't there when he beat Kyoko so saying he's better just cause is being a fanboy so cut it out, and you aren't getting the point this is for the SF scene as a whole wether they be top or just starting out it isn't the end of the world if X players aren't there... Also if it is so scrubby why don't you go ahead and make a documentary if you believe you could do a better job.
You all are noobs, thats a fact. I'm trying to buff Holland at international tournaments. Now there is a video on one of the most known sites, you f***ing noobs, make fools about your own fellow dutch players. Way to go. Don't even try to respond on this post. I will beat the crap out of you guys in REAL life.
Aye. Shoutouts to CPT Munta for doing this and apologies for my part in this. I should never have responded to Sakagami, the vids value speaks for itself.
haha, what a scrubby documentary.
they didnt show like 80% of the good players, only 3 of these names player where good. and where are ChaozTheory and Kyoko Manjii, players worth filming
