What an a-shole! You can't take the leaderboards as the written truth about who the best online players are, but they at least tell some of the story about who's good, except a-sholes like this abuse the system.

This speaks of Infernoz_rage again and Infernoz_girl from SF4 on 360. What I'm more curious about is whether or not the guys that are in the top 2 spot on PSN are the same. I just can't picture anyone to have over 20,000 PPs this early unless either A - You can somehow overcome the online lag and play 24/7 and be very godlike, or B - You boost.

This is my own opinion, but if you feel you have to "boost" to get high up in the rankings than you are a true loser. I mean, those are probably the same people who will quit out of a match if they are losing just so that they dont take a loss. God knows I have faced enough of those guys already on SoulCalibur 4.
i think mvc2 players do this on psn. that account brucebanner305 has thousands of wins, and losses in single digits. i don't really care but playing so many matches in mvc2 you are going to take a lot of losses no matter how good you are.

Up there with the rage quiters, the avoid loses disconnecters, the all chip damage winning palyers, and most importantly the winners from the super lag dial-up connection. lol. Makes me wonder when I beat 10,000+ guys with my 5,000 Ken. I can never get passed 5200 BP, but I whoop on most 10,000+bp players. I think my weakness is turtling ppl. hm...
@10 I know the difference, I just think it's repeating how it's usually said here that XBL is perfect and that PSN is broken even when considering users like those seen in the video which are proof against that. Both consoles are crippled in their own way.

BTW: Another thing that bugs the hell out of me is the fact that you can have the option to change the round settings AND time settings on a RANK match!! One of my friends does this to rank up his player whenever he's got time to waste, and if he looses..THEN he changes the settings back to default and rematches the guy on ENDLESS and f@kz him up with his real character...Capcom's gotta fix that s#it too.

Nope, on the replay session, it sometimes shows to you people from the same country or friends, and you don't even have to upload it.... It happened that someone that has him added as a friend or something randomly got these replays there.

I played against Ken-Atlas a few months ago when he had 9.1K PP. I wanted to fight against T. Hawk (which is his main), but he wouldn't do it. I fought his Ryu instead and lost 2-1, but I began playing in May, so I was still very, very scrubby then.
Then he used his main T. Hawk against a Ryu with 1.5K PP and the Ryu won 2-1. It was in an Endless lobby. I didn't know it saved Endless matches back then, so I didn't save it, but I'm not lying to you. I do have a message from him on PSN though, because I asked him to use his main, and he said no. lmao
Also, he's French. I'm not on to judge French people, but man do I see many French mashers online. :|

Also, they should make a more advanced searching system. I'm from Denmark, and only about 25-50 players actually play on PSN (and I don't mean daily players), but when I search for players from the same region it's ONLY people from Denmark, not people from my actual region (Europe).
I'm tired of finding ton of matches from USA, Canada and Japan though, 'cause I don't want to fight with lag. :(

Also, for people complaining about 1 round ranked matches, that's why you check the number of rounds on the search screen BEFORE challenging someone. Checking disconnection ratio once you've challanged someone and before starting the match doesn't hurt either.

I just got my copy for SSFIV on 360 just a few minutes ago... I hope the mass majority on XBL are not like this in terms of points... Otherwise I will be disappointed... Everyone has to cheat to get to the top nowadays, instead of doing it honorably and putting the time and work it to making it to the top. People who do this clearly have no skill at all. One thing most people don't realize, is most of these guys probably have a software doing the hard work of actually boosting them. Its not very hard to make a program pick the boost target from the ranked list and push down hk :P So they aren't even putting all that much time into it.

Last year, or 2 years ago? The ones picked to join the Official Vanilla SF4 tournament was the ones being at the top, from respective country. Nothing of importance now, I think... but still.

If this guy spent all this time to be number one on the leaderboards, he should have put that time into better use and spent it on training.
BTW, BP points really don't mean jack. Player points (PP) are really the better indicator of how good the opponent is. And plus most of the time, especially on PSN, people with 0 BP and 0 PP are usually the ones who kick a55.

Of course people who have zero PP points can and do beat people with 10000+ points, but I like the ssf4 system and do believe more often than not that PP points do matter, well not for this cheater, but for the majority.
Who cares if this guy on top of the list, whenever he plays the better players out there, they know he is not at their level and so does he that is why he resorts to cheating...

I guess I just don't understand the point of boosting. Sure, it places you higher in the ranks, but if you lack the skill to achieve a higher status on your own without the use of boosting..... whats the point? I mean, half of the time you will probably lose against real players because you are not getting the response from your boosting opponent that would help you realize your characters full potential. Especially when faced with a real live opponent. How can you learn counters, cross ups and reversals etc?
It's very reminiscent of the people who camp on CoD and other FPS games who brag about how bad a$$ they are and say stupid $hit like "My kill to death ratio is _____" when all they do is camp and sit there. 1.) Most of you aren't even close to rank 1 for points. So what the hell does it even matter that this is happening? Many skilled players are represented fairly adequately by the leaderboards. Any player roaming that high circle can pretty much tell who is a poser and who is a real guy.
2.) This detailed video which the player clearly made himself... that fact that he made it himself so blatantly showing fpv select screens, etc... wtf do you actually think it means? You honestly think he is trying to front about how skilled he is? You honestly have to ask questions about his motives in doing this?
