Thanks to Quas, KingBoxChamp and Toshi Kun for the heads up.

I wonder what Unlimited Dormammu would be like...
Unlimited means "Boss" for those not in the know.
@Clovr4Lyf
You gotta have some familiar faces; otherwise the game won't sell. I think one of the reasons TvC didn't so as well as it should have is because few in the US knew what Tatsunoko was.

announce some new characters already!

That sounds like Dormammu IS the last boss, but he might go through different transformations.
Ha, Cyclops and Captain Commando are both familiar so why aren't they in?

@Clovr4Lyf
I'll agree that Smash is not a traditional fighter, but definitely not for the reasons you stated. It's not a traditional fighter because it focuses on ring outs rather than getting rid of someone's life bar.
To say that Smash isn't deep is to be incredibly uninformed. Despite the simple controls that anyone can pick up and play, there are a ton of advanced mechanics such as Dash Attack Cancelling, Glide Tossing, and RAR, just to name a few. It's because of Smash's simple, yet complex system that it's viewed as a capable tournament fighter to the eyes of many. It's a shame that others completely overlook Smash as a fighting game.
Sure, it can also double as a party game when items are turned on or when in Special Brawl. But who says it can't be both?

Street Fighter is 1000X better than Smash Brothers. Deepness doesn't always mean playable.
Sorry, I had to say it. Seemed like too much Smash stroking on a Street Fighter website. I felt "insecure".

I think you guys aren't following what was said.
Niitsuma said they were teasing Dormammu as the final boss, up until his reveal as playable.
That's it.

@Darts
Oh.
..........
I'm gonna blame the translator. Needless to say, I do like having "Unlimited" characters as an option (even though they're difficult as hell to unlock in CS). It would be nice if Capcom copied that aspect for future games.
@jesuslovessatan (the heck's up with your name?)
Why is it that no one complains about all other off-topic conversations (like yours), but when it's Smash Bros, it has to be absolutely purged?
As to answer your question, I don't know if such a place exists, and if it does, it's probably illegal and will get shut down soon.

Comments may be getting a little off topic but I'm gonna have to chime in and say Smash is as legit a fighter as any game. It has a consistent control scheme for any character, contains blocking, throwing, ground game, air game, combos, and a massive tournament scene for 9 years. Now after all those years of growing up with Smash, I'm pouring my hours into Street Fighter, and still having lots of fun watching crazy pro videos and researching strategies. Regardless, I'm going to go and say Melee is my favorite fighting game of all time. Best memories, so many thrills, no frustration, enjoyable learning curve, large community, fun discovering many tricks. Sound familiar? That's because its the same cycle a Marvel player goes through since MvC2's release in 2000.
Both MvC2 and SSBM were designed to appeal to mass audiences for fun simple pleasure. But with so many players comes an inevitable community based on competition. The hardcore quickly discovered/developed an intense metagame and so many strategies were developed beyond the creator's vision. If you don't understand why MvC2 and SSBM have been going strong for years then you are obviously very ignorant of the massive community surrounding these fun games. Trust me, there are many haters of both, even on SRK.
Bringing this to the interview of Marvel 3, it's understandable that Capcom's putting lots of work into this game to make it fun, accessible, yet pleasing the hardcore fans. It won't please all of MvC2's fanbase, but that fanbase is gonna have to understand this is indeed a different game, with different controls/mechanics.
And so will the people who stubbornly refuse to try anything other than traditional one-on-one fighters with health bars.

Thank you, kingofthesharks, for providing an intelligent post.
Back to the interview, it raises the question: If Dormammu, the demon ruler of an entire DIMENSION isn't the final boss, then who is? I'm guessing some original character for the game.

@froggy

Final boss may be either Thanos or Galactus.
But I would love to see Onslaught, he's a combination of Magneto, Professor X, Nate Grey, and Franklin Richards, and he can basically do anything. He would be a great final boss.

Thanos is too much of a tame character and galatcus is the bitch of the hulk family, Onsalught was already in MVC1 as the final boss
there is only one person I see as a suitable end boss of MVC3

@Ex_Ein
That person can't possibly be defeated! How can we mere players stand up to such a powerful being?
Posted by Ex_Ein on August 31, 2010 at 9:45 p.m. #16
I have no clue, but it'd be funny to see the videos of people being frustrated fighting that person
