GameSpot.com is reporting that Capcom may end up showing more of the arcade version of Super Street Fighter 4 next week. Capcom's presence at Japan's annual Amusement Machine Operators' Union show — a dealer-oriented event focusing on upcoming arcade games — has been growing rapidly in recent years, spurred by the renewed interest in fighting games and the publisher's July 2008 release of Street Fighter IV in Japanese arcades.
This year's show — from September 9 to 11 — is set to be just as big for Capcom. While the publisher announced an arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV for Japan earlier this year, details on the new character roster have been few to date. Now, Japanese news site Andria Sang is reporting that SSFIV assistant producer Tomoaki Ayano hinted that more details on the arcade version's new characters could come by the end of the week on the game's official blog.
Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu is also slated to run a semi-reveal in next week's issue, although Ayano said he'd update the game's blog with more hints.

I just know in my heart capcom will give console users the new characters via dlc. Im not even worried about that. I just need yun & yang LOL

The way they say "new character reveals" and "Famitsu is also slated to run a semi-reveal in next week's issue" it makes it sound as if there will be more than the 2 hinted at by the black spots in the screen shot and perhaps as many as the 6 hinted at by the rumor..:-)

Wanna see someone win with Q? Search Kuroda vs Justin Wong in youtube. Also, Yun is considered "S-Rank" in 3rd Strike, only beneath Chun. If you haven't seen anyone win with Yun, you just haven't seen much (if any) 3rd Strike, period.

i lol'd at r.mika being the worst character in the sf series next to cammy. check the tier list for cammy is ssf4 and see where she's placed, also check out some sako vids on youtube. cammy is a monster!
however i will agree about r.mika being pretty bad. she's gonna return simply because ono is a pervert which is pretty lame when they could add someone so much better in her place.

That's the worst list ever. As much I hate Mika, the fact she's not mentioned was an autofail.
I'd asking for Rolento & Karin because they aren't clones. Plus 3S players just whine 24/7 about sucking at SSF4 so why bother even putting in ANY 3S characters aside from Alex and Elena? Hell nobody plays with the ones in SSF4 anyway since they rather complain and be lazy than learn a new system.
And no Q, Twelve, Charlie, Evil Ryu....basically no trash/waste/blatant clone characters. My Guy & Cody are ready for Rolento with open arms. Final Fight Trinity 4 Life. Plus he'll get some new tricks due to Super Cancelling and such.

Oh, just realized that you probably meant "trash, waste, and/or blatant clone characters".
Twelve and Q have more style and originality than the majority of SF characters Capcom has put out. Yes, Q has a dash punch. But that makes him as much of a Balrog clone as Rolento having air knives make him an Akuma and Ibuki clone.
That being said, Twelve wouldn't transfer well to SF4 and I could see him being too graphically intensive. On a developers blog, they were talking about how tough it was to animate Dhalsim, so I'm sure Twelve would blow their minds.
Q would be a perfect fit. Give him his pump-up taunt (down+taunt like Guile glasses and Dudley?) and I'm happy. Screw some Evil Ryu/Charlie, though.

I actually think it will be six...if you look at the character roster, the random select would be in an awkward spot with just five characters imo. It'll be completely even with six.
For the stages if any, five would even it out. So I'm guessing six characters + five stages at this point, though I might be completely wrong. xD
I'm hoping for Alex/Rolenta/Elena. They all look amazing in 3strike videos. Hugo has a chance, but he's bigger than T.Hawk, I wonder if it would be hard for the design team to get him in there.
Q looks solid as well, I think he'd work well with the more defensive system of SSF4. If alex gets in...first thing I wanna see is a high level Abel vs. Alex, lol.

Rolento, Elena, Karin, Q, and Alex.
They aren't all my favs but it'll shift the dynamics of the game easily with these characters kind of like how Cody, Dudley, Guy and Juri did.
