New gameplay footage for Street Fighter X Tekken, the Capcom version of the upcoming fighter, was posted from GamesCom on IGN this morning.

This shows a similar set up to the other gameplay video that was recorded at San Diego Comic-Con, as such, this clip doesn't offer much new stuff besides seeing a few more moves in action.

Also, Capcom-Unity has a clip of some live actors portraying these characters up on stage at GamesCom, including Yoshinori Ono dressed as Chun-Li.

Video sent in by Franny87 and Bhavik.

Nothing we haven't really seen before. I wish they showed chun li and nina going at it.

sweeet

Posted by Soljah on August 19, 2010 at 10:51 a.m. #3

That actually showed alot more for kaz now.
They added his df 1,2 punch, his f,d,df N 4 kick and his f,d,df 2 uppercut.

This game is going to be amazing.

I guess they rehearsed the general idea of the video, and are using it in more than one place. Nothing new at all except for the overhead bounce.

This is where Capcom disappoints me. They just release a video of something we already saw, instead of something new. Everyone's seen it already, it's why no one's really cheering (refer to first video).

Posted by SpiceyChicken on August 19, 2010 at 10:54 a.m. #6

This isn't really that new.

Posted by drafuul on August 19, 2010 at 10:59 a.m. #7

It might be me, but I feel like it looks a little bit slower than SSFIV.

Posted by spotlesseden on August 19, 2010 at 10:59 a.m. #8

capcom already said in comic-Con we won't getting any new SF X Tekken info until next year.

if you expect anything new, then that's your problem.

I`m more hyped on the new ssf4 content. Hope there is going to be some kind of info soon.

Am I the only one that cant see any difference?

Posted by Sektah84 on August 19, 2010 at 11:21 a.m. #11

a couple new combos and a kazuya has a shoryuken. Im hyped for it though! Cant wait till 2012 when it drops!

Posted by Lolento on August 19, 2010 at 11:25 a.m. #12

@#10 CartooN
Many new attacks to Kazuya, most notably the overhead bounce. Ryu can also cancel cl.HP into HK.

@#8 spotlesseden
While I agree with you, I think it's a bad move for Capcom to try to show the game this early, it's inevitable people will have expectations of new things every time they offer this kind of footage. Also, many parts of it are clearly hacks just to get something presentable (like Chun's tag super where the launching kick doesn't launch, abruptly cutting into an SBK), and (reportedly) they are not even sure yet on how the tag system will work, if at all.

Posted by gtfopanda on August 19, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. #13

Who the hell was that Ryu guy? Ryu wouldn't act like that, they should know.

Just put Daigo in his place.

Posted by RandomDP on August 19, 2010 at 11:37 a.m. #14

I don't get it. Why was this even a news post? There was like, 1 new combo showed here and everything else was the same. I mean, why did they even bother showing this again when they even stated there was not going to be any more news about CxT this year.

Please, don't post anything about this game unless its NEW info/vids

Posted by zUkUu on August 19, 2010 at 11:40 a.m. #15

are you guys blind? there a many new moves in it.

@12

It's not even really a game it's like half a demo/half presentation as it seems like it's a timed event. I think it's designed to end when both players do their tag super.

It's just way too early, I'd say give it at least 6 months to see where they go with this.

On another note, Ono is absolutly insane (No wonder he had a Chun Li outfit in his traveling supplies on Twitter). They really going hard to promote SF x Tekken. I wonder if Harada will do the same, he's already doing the mass Kuma spawning hehe.

I really love the background. So much detail its almost distracting - in a good way.

Posted by MALDA on August 19, 2010 at 12:09 p.m. #19

RYU WINS PERFECT

Posted by Sektah84 on August 19, 2010 at 12:16 p.m. #20

ryu gets spanked by kazuya! ^ are you blind and denial!?

Posted by Hrm on August 19, 2010 at 12:34 p.m. #21

I guess they're not showing much new because there's not much new to show. Were there dodge rolls in the first vid? I know the tekken guy dashed under some fireballs, but I'm not sure if that's the same.
They did say SFxT was like two years away from release.

Posted by MALDA on August 19, 2010 at 12:39 p.m. #22

Sektah84

na could you stop hating are mad just cause ryu perfect lol

Posted by Shinebox on August 19, 2010 at 12:46 p.m. #23

One major noticeable thing: Ryu has his kick from 3s that bounces the character against the wall.

Being that the Tekken is notorious for it's combos and juggles, I can see this game offering combos that are not possible in (S)SFIV

Posted by ButterKnife on August 19, 2010 at 12:52 p.m. #24

Nuts! The page with the live actors isn't working. I really want to see Ono as Chun Li. I hear he has legs that go for miles!

Posted by Nukka on August 19, 2010 at 1:15 p.m. #25

Kazuya looks abit smaller, which is a good thing, he was too bulky.

Posted by Otter_of_Death on August 19, 2010 at 1:17 p.m. #26

Calling MK a dying franchise is wrong in every meaning of the word. The past four MK games have been best-sellers, and Mortal Kombat is outselling the crap out of Tekken in the United States. Let's not forget that MK has been a thriving in European markets since its inception.

Though I still find the crossover doubtful. I've always gotten this feeling that Capcom never wanted anything to do with MK.

Posted by Otter_of_Death on August 19, 2010 at 1:18 p.m. #27

Son of a Bit**. Wrong tab. Sorry about that.

Posted by juanrock on August 19, 2010 at 1:28 p.m. #28

it looks much more agresive than sf4, but is still way too early to tell

Posted by Travizion on August 19, 2010 at 1:28 p.m. #29

not bad

Posted by THawk on August 19, 2010 at 1:40 p.m. #30

Not bad? This looks like sh*t. Thanks god for MvC3 and MK9.

Posted by SF2FOREVER on August 19, 2010 at 1:46 p.m. #31

what's up with this game? how come it looks it's much slower than SSFIV?

Posted by Jakulagi on August 19, 2010 at 1:58 p.m. #32

they slowed it down, so people can notice more..

MK9 is shyt that only simple minded idiots like..

They are probably showcasing Kazuya beating Ryu, because if Ryu was whooping on Kazuya, then people would think that Capcom is being unfair..

I'm calling it, but Ryu will beat the fuuck out of Kazuya or whoever in Namco's version...

Posted by Super_Shoto_Fighter_4 on August 19, 2010 at 2:03 p.m. #33

MK9 for me thanks oh and MvsC 3 because that's looking good too.

Posted by Super_Shoto_Fighter_4 on August 19, 2010 at 2:12 p.m. #34

you guys that rather play mk over this i have a question what are you guys smoking and where can i get some?!
you guys have to remember this isnt sf it sfxtekken its its own game the same the vs games are its own games and not a sf game.
@ malda your being a groupie bro accept the truth and stop being a d*ckrider bro. there will be some tekken characters better than the sf characters just like in every vs game.

Posted by halo on August 19, 2010 at 2:36 p.m. #37

What was new???
I hope Capcom shows more than that at Gamescom

Posted by roarmonster on August 19, 2010 at 2:42 p.m. #38

kazuya looks so fu*king pro.
i'd like to know if it will be easier to do combos in this game.
every cross-over is so combo friendly u know

Posted by dvnt on August 19, 2010 at 3:29 p.m. #41

You kids have to realize, this is only a VERY early version of the game. You honestly cannot make any reasonable assumption about this game yet. You can not like the premise, you can not like the way it looks, but you CANNOT say it is crap, because you have no clue what you are talking about and it makes you look like a dipsh*t.

Also, what is with this MK is good talk. Where were you before that new game was even announced. And where was midway when capcom was innovating the genre with supers, EX moves, motion based attacks, etc. Oh yeah, Ed Boon had his head up his ass making crappy MK games. PEACE bitches!

Posted by Sektah84 on August 19, 2010 at 3:55 p.m. #42

hey guys hope this bit of info helps found this on ign
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/111/1...
if you scroll down towards the end of the article it ono says how he might release it sooner. my best bet is fall of next year after mvc3.

Posted by sabrewulf on August 19, 2010 at 4:02 p.m. #43

the new things i can see:

*overhead bounce enemy and just the one of the tekken guy, ryu doesnt do that
*roll at wake-up
*crossups.

Posted by Mabans on August 19, 2010 at 4:05 p.m. #44

The most personality I've seen those Tekken Character have..

Posted by ds123 on August 19, 2010 at 4:50 p.m. #45

Am I the only one that isn't really all that excited about this game? I mean from the video it just seems to me like it's some Tekken characters ported into SF4 engine and that's it.

But I know the hardcore fans are gonna come on here and flame me with comments like "YOU CAN ROLL NOW ON KNOCKDOWN, HOW IS THAT NOT A TOTAL GAMECHANGER????!??!?"

Posted by J on August 19, 2010 at 4:54 p.m. #46

I can't wait for this game!

Posted by OmegaZero on August 19, 2010 at 5:59 p.m. #47

i just dont know why people keep getting hype for such bad game, is it early to say yes it may me to early, but the fact is that there's not a big different between ssf4 and this, is was meant to be a big anuance were's the big dealt this is just another sf4 update meant to suck out even more money for fanboy's, is not that the game will be bad, but everybody is giving this to much credit went it crearly dont deserve it

Posted by GigaGilgamesh9 on August 19, 2010 at 6:27 p.m. #48

@dvnt Listen too this guy he is completely right. It is way beyond to early to tell if it's good yet. This is the most bare-bones demo I've ever seen. If you noticed they changed quite a few things aesthetics-wise. Sure you can say what you want but any opinion based on this demo alone is completely null and void.

Posted by Sektah84 on August 19, 2010 at 6:28 p.m. #49

So ssfiv let's you juggle enemies after bouncing them from am attack on the floor? I mean you could bounce enemies from the wall with certain attacks that's about it. Oh and ssfiv doesn't have tag team ultras. ^ so that's just like ssfiv right? Remember the game is still early! There's never no pleasing people in the fighting game community!

Posted by Tru1yOdd on August 19, 2010 at 7:46 p.m. #50

So did Kazuya roll on wake up? Is there gonna be a different wake up system in this game similar to Tekken? Cant wait for this game.

Posted by Batsu on August 19, 2010 at 7:52 p.m. #51

Game is shiitt and the Namco version is gunna suck even harder.

Posted by Nanaya on August 20, 2010 at 5:47 a.m. #52

It's going back to older SF games than SF4. Roll recovery and wall bounce are both 3s mechanics (Roll recovery obviously being older), more obvious this time around are The Tekken Bounce mechanic, less "SF4" links and more "3s"/"CvS2" style chains and obviously the spinning knock back. I just wish the Supltras get shorter. They are ridiculously long.

Posted by courte on August 21, 2010 at 10:25 a.m. #53

Baekers gonna Baek

So Kazuya Doesn't flip huh? he jusu jumps... how are th SF's jumping attacks gonna work in tekken, aside from not being there? are they even still going to slip as most of them do
