Why do they feel the need to keep introducing characters we've known about since the very first art for the game came out? Obviously those are the characters that are closest to finished but they shouldn't have had so many easily identifiable "shadows" in that art because the hype for this game is just not there at the moment. C'mon Capcom, if you want us to stay hype for a game that's not coming out for atleast 6-7 months then give us *new* info!
Oh and please don't let viewtiful Joe be a baby character like in TvC. Joe and Amaretasu worry me a bit. This game is not one that needs characters that can't be hit by certian attacks just because they have a retarded hitbox. Here's hoping for the best
Dormammu being playable is a bit sketch to me. He's supposed to be a god-like entity. I feel like if anyone is over powered in the game it'll be him.

They picked the wrong hypercombos for him again. Instead of having different "mode" supers like Joe SHOULD have for Slow Motion, Mach Speed and Zoom-In, they just pick the ones he had from TVC which were terrible choices.
#22 Thor, Amaterasu (Issun: Lets just call you Ammy), and Dormammu (Dormmy?) are extreamly powerful beings Gods, demi Gods what will you but they are not invincibal at least not to a certain extent.
Besides it's just a game, every character will have their limits and beside the story may have some legitimate reason for why some gdlk heroes/villians are on par with characters like Ryu and Chun Li. Also I heard although Dormmy is powerful, his powers is limited depending on what dimension he crosses and right now both the Marvel and Capcom universe is collided togeather so....
On a final note im glad characters like Dante, Ammy, and Trish are making their way on the capcom side. MvC2 was so full of street fighters and throw aways that hardly compared in power to the Marvel heroes and villians. I think I can only take one more street Fighter cahracter and the rest have to be some pretty sick heroes/villians.
DAMMIT, I KNEW they were going to just going to announce characters that were already blatantly obviously in (hell, Dormammu's in the f*ucking trailer for god sakes!). I have a feeling these will be the only character announcements we're going to get :( .....

What the hell are you talking about?? Viewtiful Joe's hyper combos were perfect in TvC. He had the Silvia Cannon, he DID have mach speed & his level 3 Hyper was Slow & Zoom in.
they have to put samanosuke Akechi in this he would be perfect for this game the amount of swords his got and the different amount of combos his got for each sword would make him suit well in MvC
Viewtiful Joe was a bit underwhelming to me, but it's tight and a surprise that Dormammu is revealed as a playable character. I look forward to playing him if his speed isn't too slow. I kind of get this feeling that he moves real slow and it takes a moment for his moves to come out.
I think at this point it is obvious that Galactus will be the final boss in this game since we almost have all of the Fantastic Four villains and Silver Surfer will soon be announced. We might get Dr. Strange, but I am not too interested in him. I would prefer to see a Cable alternative like Bishop.
@34 yeah I was reading about that. Still it should be intersting how thsis turns out im just glad he's playable, should be safe to assume Galactus is the final boss probably. I don't know the character well but Dormammu looks like a blast to play but he is kind of tall, I hope he won't be subseptable to easy infinant loops like other big charcters (Sentinal, blackheart).

Dormammu is definitely this game's Shuma Gorath (Although he's more popular than that). Why won't they just put in Dr. Strange? Is he not colorful enough!?!
Where's Silver Surfer was that a fake announcement? No, I think Capcom will reveal at least 2 more. There's 2 more Silhouettes- Spiderman and Frank West. Still no Capcom villains and no Marvel girls. I guess they're saving that last important stuff for later. I'm now more convinced that the leak list is false and that Dormammu is not the final boss.

Definitely psyched for Viewtiful Joe!! I'm hoping he does get a buffed Hyper Combo selection. Six Cannon was terrible in TvC. Also happy to see that he got himself a Vortex-inspired Shoryuken, WHOOOOOHOOOO!!!
If there is no stride. I'm not gettin this game, but I want a capcom boss at least.... sigma from megaman x would be awesome
God, boring. Let's see some old school lovin. How about PROTOMAN! Never made it into a versus game, and with a mix of his shield and buster he can be a sweet char.
So instead of high profile fighters from MegaMan, SF, or DS universe, we get trash like Viewtiful Joe who still haven't had a single game sell close to 1 million units.
Let's see on what economical factors Capcom will blame their record profit losses next, instead of their stupid game directors.

I thought Dormammu would have been the Final Boss... it would have made sense. He has the power to merge dimensions at full strength, and Dr.Strange considers him to be his worse enemy because of that. With him having the power to merge dimensions, and this game called "Fate of Two Worlds", I really thought he was just the Final Boss...
Concerning Viewtiful Joe, awesome. Although it looks like his TvC moves are returning full force, he just might have the tweaking needed for him to be used for the MvC formula.
Good work, Capcom, keep it up.
I'd love to see Thanos on this one (without a doubt, my favorite Marvel character), but with a reworked moveset (no infinity gauntlet supers).
I'm kinda disappointed with Capcom's side, sure I understand the need to include their new franchises, but VJ, again... what about Capcom's 90's franchises?, Power Stone, Warzard, Justice Gakuen, Star Gladiator...

Reason why Wolverine's not in the big 4(though he's basically in everything) is he kills people straight up, but they're trying to make those nice with stuff like Wolverine and the X-men and Ironman armed adventures

Cortez that's not far fetched seeing as hmmm HE WAS THE LEADER OF THE AVENGERS originally in comics((mind you Cap was not on the team until a little after), but that doesn't make him a poster boy. he has his fans but if you ask a real marvel fan not just one who goes sees the movies but knows which comic book Wolverine appeared in(Incredible Hulk 181), they'll tell you the top 4 marvel heroes that they consider the poster boys are Cap, thor, hulk and spidey, but the current runs of Wolverine and Ironman are good
Reason why the top 4 are the top 4 is because they are characters who can't appeal to anyone who don't come off as too crude(Stark has slept with almost every woman in the Marvel universe and isn't afraid to say it) or too brutal (Wolverine out right killing and maiming people) and you can write them 20 different ways while if you even tried to make Wolverine a considerably nice guy, fans would cry foul ,since his main quote IS "I'm the best at what I do and what I do isn't very nice"
Alot of fans are pissed of at Armored adventures since it takes almost everything that made Tony Stark, Tony Stark(the women the booze and the fact he was wounded by one of his own weapons which made him don the armor and gave him his chest piece) and basically makes him a mix of Spidey's original story(Teen going to school who's super smart and loses his father figure and is best friends with the child of a super powerful CEO who's mental stability is questionable) and hamlet(His father was killed by his uncle figure who took over the business of stark tech). While it works it's not what you see when you go to the comics or movies or other cartoons with him.
Is no one going to bring up the fact that Dorm isnt shown jumping and seems to only have projectile attacks or pillar attacks...... No ok then ill mention it.
Any one notice he Isnt shown jumping when a the other character reveal pictures show the characters jumping in atleast one pic and also he is not shown using his hyper or using his hands or feet to attack.... only moves like the rape pillar or rape spikes.... hmmmm maybe he is still a boss but a cheap B@#$H

I think they are waiting for introducing Spidey at home, in their Tokyo Game Show, next month. I can't belive he's not in the final roster.
I don't think the're going to include too many x-men. Maybe only Wolverine, Storm (sounds like a must-have) and a third new one, to create an "X-Men team" of three. Remember that we already know 9 characters from the Marvel side and the final number could be only 15 or 16 for each universe. Possibly only 6 characters left.
I can´t belive Spidey is not in. It would be an unforgivable mistake. You can add Storm, the third mutant, and only three more to complete the final roster. Another female should be in (Ms. Marvel?), and two awesome marvel kinghts as Moon Knight and Black Panther would be fantastic decisions.

As a Viewtiful Joe mainer he is usable in TvC. He's able to combo his lvl 3 into his Cannon super which does a shiitload of damage and has an overhead which is super good.
Joe's model looks MUCH better than it did in TvC. Dormammu looks pretty good as well.
Gotta admit, however, that I'm really tired of the silhouette system that they're using to reveal characters. We already knew Joe was in thanks to the silhouette a few weeks ago. It kind of dampens the surprise and awe that usually comes with a character reveal when we already know that they're in. The surprises like Amaterasu are much better than knowing in advance who they're going to show next thanks to some silhouettes.
Man I don't know im more psyced about MvC2 than SSFIV, i've been playing that game for awhile, I want to get super good in it but all the characters I want to get good with are too weak and the ones im good with are boring to play now. It's no longer fun or interesting. Im even thinking of trying Blazblu CS now.
Im just losing interest in SSFIV, great game but it's losing it's charm now. I rarly play it as much as I should.

@32 You're an idiot. The Silvia Cannon should not be a hyper at all, all three of his hypers should be a different mode, not two mashed up into one single counter move. Mach Speed isn't really a hyper either in TVC, all he does is the red-hot 100 (which doesn't even do close to a hundred hits) when there's so much more he could be doing in Mach Speed mode.
Mach Speed should be a hyper that (obviously) increases his speed temporarily and acts basically as a variable combo gauge. Slow should temporarily slow down the action on the screen and make his punches more hurtful. Zoom-In could work as a counter hyper I guess. But seriously everything he has absolutely sucks balls and if you disagree it's because you're stupid and don't know anything about what he should be like.
According to some sources I've read, today or tomorrow 2 new characters will be revealed, and maybe with gameplays (as ComicCon's Thor and Amateratsu).
Maybe it's time for the confirmation of the linked Silver Surfer or the first Marvel female.
I hope the fake list will be finally erased by the new announcements. I didn`t like it at all.
