Vid of Dreams: A Street Fighter combo video

Posted by Jonathan 'Catalyst' Grey • August 13, 2010 at 12:26 p.m. PDT
BiffOTasty posted this old school combo video which premiered clear back at EVO 2007.

It mostly features the Street Fighter 2 games, on both the arcade and console machines, but there's a little Alpha 2 and Third Strike thrown in as well.

I'm sorry, but I really can't help but laugh every time I hear Chun Li's EX theme after working on street fighter chode. Cool combos though. I like how they implemented the bugs.

Lol @ the annotation stressing the fact that it's not SFIV combo video. Was that really necessary?

I loved that video. One of my all time SF favorites now.

Part 3 was the coolest, but it should have had more Castlevania music

@11 what the? Just because you never played these doesn't take away from the effort put into it or how epic it is.

@12 I saw this video 3 years ago at Evo, and I love Street Fighter 2, not sure what you are on about.

@14 Presumed you were one of the many who started counting at 4, but still it's great it's now accessible for someone like me (in UK) and I don't see what's wrong with telling people about it.

Hey what's all this about Street Fighter Chode. I just watched that video, pretty funny.

I love some of the things you can do in those "exotic" versions of Street Fighter 2.

Lets take Ken's Tornado Kick as an example: it goes through the whole screen and is incredibly fast. You can get up to 7-11 hits from it, stun the opponent, and repeat the move! Cheap? - yes, but how awesome!! (especially if you remember how useless Ken's Tornado Kick in regular Street Fighter 2 is)

@10 lol it probably is. What do you expect from a blog site that only focuses on fighting game news (specifically Capcom Fighter news)? Frankly I'm surprised (but appreciative nonetheless) that they manage to get new posts up every day.
