Why the hate on Gootecks man? I doubt any of you know him in person and neither do I, so why hate on him? So he threw his stick.. Everybody has a few lapses and bad moments. Lets just get past that. He is doing some good stuff for the community so lets just respect that.

this is fun I see it as like a sports commentary, like football highlights haha

Doing good things in the community for money, You can get this same advice and treatment by asking for advice on the SRK forums granted that your character doesnt have any hot heads.

If you research, you will find that "stick throwing Gootecks" never happened. Just some hater spreading lies. They even tried to post a video of the match but that was totally fake.
Dont believe everything you hear on the internet. RESEARCH!

@#9 Cool, my bad. I thought he did. Even if he charges money for some of his services, why is it a bad thing? No one is forced to pay, if someone wants to then its their choice. Its similar to a personal trainer. Some people who can afford it, want the one on one learning experience. I wouldnt pay for it myself because i neither have the extra cash nor do i want to get a paid lesson, but that doesnt mean its a bad idea for him to do it. The cross counter show is free and it gives a lot of useful info you can use in matches.All I am saying is there is no need to hate on someone for no logical reason. Am just saying. No hostility towards anyone.

He didn't really throw his stick, that was a rumor started when he almost lost to a random pad Fei player at Evo 2k9. He did get pretty salty and I think he may have dropped his stick, but at that point it's broken telephone. Still, if he actually did, asking for proof in this case is unreasonable. If he really did throw his stick, what are the chances anyone has actual, verifiable proof he did so?

Gootecks did Level 3 FADC into Stick throw Ultra, don't deny it.

Like if i really care if he did or didn't throw the stick... Someone asked "Why the hate on Gootecks man?" Is not hate, actually i really don't care that guy... But I'll ask Why the love on Gootecks man? He saved your cat when was traped on a tree?...

Am not loving gootecks or anyone in particular.. and i dont have a cat.. I really dont care much for him either.. he does some good things in the community so respect.. thats all.. i would say the same if anyone was hated on for nothing.. just saying lets not be prejudiced.. sigh

Im not sure what their life style is like, but if they do these personal sessions would that mean less Cross Counter? I like these episodes. It has potential.

I feel quite neutral to Gootecks since I dont know him personally. People spreading rumors about somebody to get others to hate on a person they dont even know is pretty low.

Even if he did do it, it would just be one act of stupidity against him. No biggie, we all make mistakes...looks at Scumbag(Blanka player)

So that vega player is normally better, he was just having a bad game. There were 4 other replays that were also in the running that in my opinion was better but Gootecks didn't choose either of them. So in my opinion, a bad replay was chosen.

I got the feeling that Cody was more or less mashing, with some BnB combos thrown in. Still, they can play better than I can, I bet. I just got spoiled by all the Evo top 16 gameplays. >_>

This was a boring match. also i was wondering if both players in the match have to give their consent to be seen on the show or not

Vega's Super is high risk, low reward. There's no way to combo into it or set it up that it's guaranteed like his Ultras, and even when it hits the damage isn't astounding. Also, his meter is always better spent on his EX moves, which are (almost) all really good.

This is exacerbated by the fact that in Super Turbo, if Vega's Super didn't connect, it didn't burn the meter.

Still, that said, I've seen clips where Tatsu pulls off the Super in more than one occasion, so maybe this is all just theory fighter. As they said, if you can pull it off, pull it off.

Im pretty sure they get paid for making these vids by machinima by how views they get so in reality they are indeed getting paid

Vega is free game for Cody. That disjointed standing HK basically stops him from Barcelonas and his overhead keeps him from turtling. Conditioning Vega is easier than trying to read the Flying Mansquirrel Matador.

Yep its difficult to land but that doesn't mean its impossible, its all up to the discretion on the player.
