All the Gouki players have become a lot weaker in Super. Tokido's been pretty much an average joe as well in recent high profile matches.
Okay you two. Lets just leave it at that. No need to start up pointless arguments here. I am sure L_A_C if you did have a personal experience with him that was not very nice.. then you have a right to be upset but in the end, Kai is still human like everyone else.. to some degree there should still be respect. And Necro, I understand where you were going with your reply but calling L_A_C an A hole just because of his own personal opinion would make you no better than he was when he posted his opinion. I know that on the internet there really is no such thing as intimidation but it would be nice if there was still some form of respect.
wow I yawned throughout the entire thing. I was hoping maybe some rush down by Eita but nope. Demon flip over and over again. Just like Fuerte with his stupid running back and forth in the stage. El Fuerte matches (against any characters) are as lame as D'ism matches. This makes a Guile vs Guile match like the Super Bowl.
Well L_A_C you do seem like you are a nice person. I just hope whatever happened will go away in time. I can understand what you are going through in a sense.. and it can be a bit bothersome. I guess I would just rather an argument on this site to be game related instead of getting too personal too fast. :)
In L_A_C's defense, from almost every video I've seen where Kai is talking, he's always saying something a$$hole-ish and acting smug. He bad-mouths other players and even talks sh*t on SSF4 itself (he's one of those 3rd Strike purists).
Kai is definitely a great Fuerte player, but i think Buktooth is best in U.S.
Kai has a really great Fuerte, and always entertaining to watch. this set came down to the wire and was very enjoyable to watch :)
I miss TKD though, he is considered by far the best Fuerte not only in Japan, but in the world, but since Super was released we haven't heard much from him since he only plays Arcade.
TKD will be with Daigo in the same team on the next Tougeki, can't wait to see him in action!
@17 you are an idiot. You do realize that Akuma's rushdown (or "vortex") almost always begins with a demon flip, right? It's the different options off the demon flip that create the mixups.
As for Fuerte, that "running back and forth" that you think is "stupid" is actually the core of Fuerte's offense. And.. ugh, why am i even explaining this.. Just go back to playing Smash Brothers RandomJohn
For the record, Buktooth now mains Ibuki and brings out El Fuerte only as a back up. Kai probably has the best tournament El Fuerte as he usually places higher than Buktooth and if I'm correct, on head to tournament head match ups against Buktooth back in SF4 Kai won them all.
TKD is still the best and most dynamic El Fuerte in the world, he's teamed up with Daigo Umehara and Bonchan for SBO this September.
The Taiwanese El Fuerte is 雞排 (Chicken Steak), he's also a very entertaining and strong Fuerte... plus he's a real-life fireman which makes him Chicken Steak Fireman El Fuerte. Was talking to GamerBee and he thinks Kai has the strongest Fuerte at EVO, but the reason he was able to beat him on money matches was because playing the match-up against Chicken Steak who is also very strong.
L_A_C what did Kai do to you man. I think its hilarious when Kai talks trash about other people and the game itself thats why he's one of my favorite players.
@21
Ive only seen one vid where Kai says he hates 'mashing.' Though I dont hate SSF4 like him, I really hate that mashing is somewhat effective. I generally prefer 3rd strike but there are things about both SSF4 and 3rd that I like/dislike so they kind of even out for me.
If you or anybody could point me to some interviews of Kai, I would appreciate it. Tried searching youtube but only found the vid I saw before.
@41 Eita's Akuma is not as good as Momochi's but he's better than Infiltration. Infiltration has an awesome Akuma, but I think Eita's resume is stronger.
Loved seeing Kai made his opponent ragequit on norcal tournament. More Fuerte mainers plz!
Bad match if you ask me from Eita.
What's the use of setting patterns if you just don't take advantage of it? And why repeating the same things and mistakes, Kai rad it all last round. Not to mention the countless high risk uppercut for which he was destroyed. He couldn't manage a single cr.LP into st.HP combo, even having plenty of opportunities.
The guy is way better than this, props to Kai though.
Agree with #48, very bad matchs from Eita...
Random ultra each round, big mistakes...not the Eita I know from World game cup or Japan tournaments.I don't think Eita has worked on SSFIV, he's still playing SFIV on arcade.
BTW bad results at EVO from Tokido and Eita, but I think Tokido is better and better on SSFIV.I'm waiting for arcade release, then serious things will begin.
Oooof... I love watching Kai's El Fuerte - if only I had the patience for it, I would try to master Elf as well :)
Akuma and his gimmicks and 0 move recovery. Its a joke that people feel accomplished winning with a boss character.
*sets cake on table and waits for the others* :)
