I do agree with Justin when he stated that her main focus is landing her command throw (Karakusa). Personally however, while saving up your bar just to use it in conjunction with her Ultra I (Sechuzen Godansuki) is a tad wasteful of a gamble.

Again, with an emphasis on my playstyle, personally being that I main Makoto, I prefer to use her bars for EX Hayates and EX Karakusa and the occasional EX Oroshi. For the most part, I tend to use my EX bars with FADCs in case any of my Hayates whiff at a blocking opponent.

In conclusion I think there is so much more "situations" where the super bar is more useful than having it saved just to use Tanden Renki wether to give you the edge or link into Ultra.

I'm wondering if the TV he was playing on had massive lag problems because how how they were recording it, or what the deal was. I don't think Justin would have missed this much stuff under normal circumstances.

I honestly hope Wong wasn't the one demostrating those combos.

I don't care that thing has stuffed so many fireballs and gotten so many people after block(it dose the combo up to the launcher no matter what and if they don't see the launcher coming they're going for a ride) and it has great range and chip!! plus I can combo into with a normal ps3 controller using a simple combo= awesome ultra

Justin is more of a combo heavy(meaning he relies more on combos) player which is cool for him

I'm more of a one striker, meaning if I don't get good damage from 2 normal easily stringable(C.short C.short) strikes I don't care for the character

Silly me, I thought perhaps Justin's demo of Makoto would contain some new info since the last one he did months ago. Instead, it has far less info and is in no way useful.

I dont know about other videos but video about Makoto is crap. He said "we will tell, how she is different from third strike" and then "her game is all about landing her command grab". What's new here? Thats the same it was in sf3. He didnt show or tell any new information. All i want to see - her REALLY new possibilities, different from "karakusa->hp->hayate->super->ultra1" (everybody shows this combo in every Makoto's overview like we didnt know this combo yet). Like "is it possible to chain something into Ultra2?"

If you watch his DeeJay Vid, there was never any indication that he was telling Matt Kyle from G4 what to do. The whole time he was like "ok, this is how you do this..." and nothing but duds would come out. You never heard him give instructions. Stop pinning JWongs short comings on someone else.

Some of the Juri information is wrong. Her lk wheel is not safe on block, none of her wheels are (atleast against people with fast jabs/shorts). And her dive kicks are not overheads.

This stuff is geared more towards beginners and newcomers to SSFIV who haven't played / or is unfamiliar with the above characters. Either way, it is helpful for newcomers to check these out for them to at least get a grasp on the more newbie - friendly characters such as juri and cody. Give JWong some slack at least he volunteers his time to demo characters some may not be familiar with yet.

Makoto isn't all about saving her super.... she is more about applying pressure. getting her super is a bonus. Her Ex moves are WAY to good to not be using them.

I believe that this probably isn't J.Wong playing. "Cam3l_Puncher," what's your deal? Have you ever seen Justin actually play? He hardly ever messes up combos. He's a professional, he wouldn't be if he couldn't do combos. Matt Kyle could have been the person playing while Justin just commentated. He didn't have to give him directions, the guy works on a video game show; he probably knows how to play at least a little.

I'm not a J. Wong fanboy, but you all have to consider the fact that he's playing SSFIV on a 40/46" Samsung LCD TV. Have you all forgotten about input lag when playing on a massive TV? That's probably why he dropped a lot of those basic combos.

@59 Most of the time input lag complaints are BS and unfounded. I have a friend that complains yet he fails the same links on his CRT the bastard.

Either way, Justin needs to work on being more TV presentable. Seth Killian always wears business casual to these sorts of things.

Dammit I ordered my copy of SSF4 yesterday from play.com and the status of my order has been "packing2 all day. At this rate i probably wont get the game till tuesday/wednesday. AAAAARGH.

@Ex Ein. I couldn't agree more. Last Dread Dust is far superior. I can hit it mid screen after ex rocks all day long. It does fantastic chip damage, and it has great range. I've even had a guy jump backwards from it only to get smacked by the wrench into the final part of the ultra. Dudley is a beast with stupid easy combos. The easiest Dudley combo into ultra is LP Jet Uppercut right into ultra 2 with no FADC required. With full ultra meter, its good for 384 damage.
