Kotaku, who's been posting a lot of interesting fighting game stuff recently, got another good tidbit from Super Street Fighter 4's producer, Yoshinori Ono."What changed," Ono told Kotaku last week, "was that I was in the middle of lobbying various branches of Capcom for the capital to release the game to arcades," in March.
And the orders starting coming in as well, he said.
"Now it looks like we can make enough money off of the release to warrant an arcade version," he said.
Yoshinori added that this update would be distributed via a hard drive, so if you have a Street Fighter 4 arcade machine, you should only have to swap out the artwork too and you're good to go.
Initially, I was 100% sure that they planned to release the arcade version all along just wanted to build enough hype about it by announcing it at the last minute. But now that they said they're just about to start working on an arcade version, I'm not sure anymore. The conversion shouldn't be too difficult. The arcade scene, though not very active in the west, is still very important in Japan. Releasing an arcade version is most definitely the right move.
if the arcade has more characters, i want in... they better put out a dlc patch to all console players also... cause where i live, the arcade scene has been dead for over 15 years almost...

Arcade release for super will be really great,
I always wanted to show off with console players in the arcade, like "Gen and Cammy", and now the huge leap, from 17 characters to 35*? "That's if no new characters are even added"

I wouldn't put all my hope on this. As you can read it, it's an concept art. They could have put the logo there only just to have an idea of where to put them, to look how it would go. Of course, putting the PC logo is suspicious but I study in design and sometimes logos and other images or put just for an idea, not necessarily for the final version
im willing to bet there gonna have arcade exckusive characters in this one(atleast exclusive for awhile anyway). prob 5 more to make the even 40.

THink about it, they mentioned that the game would work with dlc and that its possible to put new characters in. Then he mentions rolento and mika. And also haveing arcade exclusive characters(even if its only 2) would give people more incentive to go play. The only problem with that is the arcade machine didnt get a world wide release, so most of the fan base wont be able to get there hands on it(i guess this is were the dlc comes in) which in the end honestly makes the arcade verison pointless.

It's quite simple. People who own consoles are, for the most part, convinced that owning a console is a good thing to do. They're also sure that waiting another 6 months or more for a game they eagerly anticipate would be horrible. Intelligent folk know that not everyone has the money to game on two platforms simultaneously, and that you'd have to be far beyond devoted to buy a console, while not having much money, just to play SSFIV/play it earlier. no no no people, you got it all wrong. Basically the idea that capcom would make enough money to release an arcade version of ssf4 came from the fact that DLC would make a lot of money. They're gonna release additional characters to the arcades that the console versions wont have yet. Then release the DLC later... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I dont always play StreetFighter, but when I do. I prefer DenjinArcade.

i completely agree dias and ken scrub are pretty damn annoying. they always are quick to call people fags and talk aboup dicks lol. seriously them and a guy named best are just annoying if its not dias and ken scrub either whining or trash talking its that guy best who gloats about how good he is lol. as for possible characters for arcade release if there is it would be two to four characters and im sure it would be between alex, elena, rolento, r. mika and karin seeing as those seem to be the most wanted to return.
