Marvel Shadows: Captain America (wings on head and his trademark belt), Doctor Doom(hood and size), Deadpool (you can see the outline of his sai). I can't make out the last two but keep in mind that none of the shadows shown are related to those shown in full (i.e no Iron Man shadow or Morrigan Shadow)
Capcom Shadow: Dante/Gene (can see his trench), Chun-Li (obvious), and on the fourth I'm thinking Jin (you can see his headband).

otherwise SNK fighters fit better with capcoms since both KOF characters and ST characters where originally made 4 2d fighting.
Ill most likely will be using capcom characters more often than marvels, specially if guile or charlie are in.

So we got super 4 coming withing a week and there already geting people hyped for the next game, solid move by the pr people, they will def keep people looking capcoms way when it comes to games. And from the last post about this they said there gonna have a mind blowing amount of characters in the game, that makes u wonder if they just added to the 56 from mvc2. Either way this one should be interesting, cant wait till e3 to see what it looks like.

I hope Chris isn't the last Resident Evil character in MvC3: Wesker, Claire, Leon, or even the Tyrant or Nemesis would be awesome. I have a feeling that with earlier reports stating that fans would be amazed at how many characters are in this game, that it wouldn't be a surprise if there is a large roster of characters from individual Capcom franchises( Street Fighter, Dark Stalkers, Resident Evil, Megaman, Devil May Cry, etc.) As for Marvel,they have a crap load of characters they can choose for this game, that it will probably be harder for them to narrow down their final choices. I have a feeling that the final number of characters for this game will be around 100, which is insane for any fighting.

If you pause and look at some of the still frames (namely of Wolverine vs. Ryu), it looks like they're ditching the anime style of Street Fighter Alpha/Darkstalkers/Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for the grittier style of Western comics. It's hard to get a good shot, and the one of Ryu's face being lit up by the lightning doesn't really show it, so this is the best I could do.

I don't share your enthusiasm regarding TvC graphics at all. I felt they mostly look dull and average compared to even MvC 2. Since this game will be on PS3 and 360 i expect the graphics to be as impressive as SF IV regardless of if the game shares the style of TvC in its character designs

there is a dude with a long coat on the capcom side and one with a sword on the marvel side,i hope they are dante and deadpool, the second person on the capcom side is obviously chun li, and the third one could be anything, last one has a huge head, maybe viewtiful joe?

Just a hint when trying to guess who will be on Marvel's side, Marvel has full control on who they will allow in the game, just like they did in the Marvel Alliance games. This means they will probably put properties in the game that they want to promote, like Thor and Deadpool, so they are basically shoe-ins.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a Green Goblin or Daredevil appearance.
I would like to see Doctor Octopus in the game. Seeing his mechanical arms in motion in a fighting game would be pretty awesome.

I want Dudley and Gene(God Hand) and Ammy(Okami). The rest I could care less about. Also I hope Spiderman is beast. I just hope this game is as balanced as TvC:UAS but technical as MvC2 but also brings in new game mechanics from new fighters like SSFIV, TvC, GG/BB, etc. I don't want MvC 2.5.

I've never liked Marvel vs Capcom that much. True, it's fun to play, but I don't see Ryu or Ken in the same boat as Marvel characters. Steet Fighter have always seemed bit more serious, MARTIAL ARTS BASED, and less "cartoonish" to me.
I'm fine with the serie though... as long as Capcom won't include much Marvel-like stuff in actual SF games. SF4 only has that stupid Seth that fits Marvel more then he fits SF (and it's not only about his fighting style, but his apperance in general). Rest of the cast seems appropriate for SF.
I think picking cast well is crucial for the future of Street Fighter. Inappropriate Marvel-like characters in SF3 (Gill, Twelve, Necro, Q, Oro, Urien) discouraged many from playing the game (Imo it was one the factors that made Street Fighter 3 so unsuccessful).
I believe SNK and SF are very similar in their concept (wait... was someone coping from someone? lol!) and make good mix for a game. I would definitely buy a new and well done SNK vs SF (that at least comes close to how good SF4 is!).
It's just my stupid opinion though... who cares (?)

Luckily the game is called Marvel vs Capcom and not Marvel vs Street Fighter. There are plenty of Capcom properties that fit this kind of game. Plus, it is suppose to be a fun over-the-top game, not a canon serious game that takes into account plausibility.

Well i care for one but you do have great points but as far as sf being taken serious they have had blanka and dalshim from the beginning bison is no exception either. But yeah marvel and capcom are worlds apart that's why its a dream match and one of the reasons why vs series are popular.

I disagree. the two worlds go well together. sure street fighter has some real martial arts but they all have fantasy elements to. ryu is a shotokan karate martial artist who can shoot plasma from his hands and do a tornado kick over a great distance.
I mean both worlds incorporate real life elements and fantasy elements, there isn't 1 that is more ''cartoonish'' whatever that means... than the other

I don't really care for this game, but I'm surprised nobody is asking for Ghost Rider. Its about time he gets in a fighting game. If hes in it, I might actually play this game.
Unless they go back to more of the 2vs2 style like X-men vs Street fighter. Then I prob. enjoy this game.

Kotaku article says 3v3, so there's no question. They would never go back to 2v2.
And yes, if there are only 30 characters, that's garbage, but let's not forget that most of the innitial statements about SSF4 were completely false (In fact, the rumor list was MORE accurate than official statements made by the Capcom team), so let's just keep our pants on. They said "about 8" new characters, even when they already had 10 near completion.
They already said the number of characters would "blow us away", so any less than the number in MvC2 would not make that statement true, so I'm gonna just wait it out.

nunubx how do you know it won't be balanced, my concern is that Marvel was releasing this too early but now that I think about this, they can show this trailer in front of Ironman 2, show a different trailer(most likely near or final trailer) in front of Thor and then have the game released by Captain america and have the ('out now' trailer)

check out an interview with Ryota Niitsuma includes stuff on : Balancing(Alot of you are worried about it), which characters are announced of right now, not to expect all the characters back again, and with new technology comes new kickass characters no possible in a 2.5D setting, watch out for ShinkuuHadouken at the end

Assist spam was a pretty broken Mechanic(especially with Dr Dooms AA), and they said Elements which include characters, as well as things like how/where a move hits, then stuff like Assist and Hyper Combo chains
and I swear if Cable is in this game they should nerf the hell out of hyper viper beam if they do nothing else to him

Some games series' are simply best left alone. Megaman 3 was the last good game in the series and they should have stopped after 4. Bionic Commando should never had gotten a remake in the first place.
Fighting games, however, are perfect candidates for sequels, and we're finally getting them, so I don't see why you're complaining.

Not a big fan of MVC2 here...I know it's a popular game and rightfully so. Just too much on-screen madness for me. Looks like a big mess.
Too early to tell from this trailer what the new game plays like. Gonna wait for gameplay vidz, but I have to admit I'm interested.

I had fun with Marvel vs Capcom 2 but high level play was very repetitive and boring.
Im hoping that they balance this game well so I dont get screwed over by not choosing Storm, Magneto etc.
They did a good job with Tatsunoko vs Capcom despite the giant characters, so hopefully they stay on the ball with this one and dont let the ridiculous amount of characters distract them from making a well balanced game.

I'm not complainning I'm just saying he said "pleasing" and the fact is they're not pleasing. Bionic Commando Rearmed was actually a great reboot especially with making the Albatross a whole level. I'm buying a few of there games but usually used if I don't think its worth my time(a video game development company gets ZERO from sells of used games).

For Mvs.C3; all I want are more contemporary marvel characters though; no Bishop or Omega REd types - they are no longer relevant. Plus, mullets and rob lefield characters aren't cool anymore. Yes, I know bishop was a wilce portacio creation and omega came from jim lee but if you followed comics back then, you get it.

Right... and we love and accept them! But Blanka has some capoeira elements, and Dhalsim and Bison do look like humans. They are way closer to SF universe than Necro or Twelve... or Marvel characters!

I watched the trailer and I am assuming that the Capcom silhouettes from left to right are Felicia, Frank West, Trish from DMC, Chun Li, and Dante. Marvel silhouettes are Cap, Dr. Doom, Deadpool, Super Skrull and or Green Goblin, and Magneto and or Mr. Sinister. I thought for sure that last one was Magneto until I saw the shoulder pads. They turn up like Mr. Sinister's shoulder pads do. I guess I will have to wait till E3 to see if I'm right.

If you have played or seen Tatsunoko Vs Capcom then you know how the game is going to look, but it'll be a more HD version. That Ultra Fireball that they showed at the end of the MVC3 trailer, is the same exact one he does in TVC. Down to every single frame and camera angle. So there is your answer.

You all get your wish... Well those who wanted this game anyway. Many thought it would not happen and yet it is on its way. Now for those who are complaining that there should have been CVS3 instead of this? What makes you think that game is not on its way as well? I mean they did this good a job keep this game under wraps for over a decade. Anything is possile in the gaming world today. But alas even with great news there will always be disappointment in the eyes of others... If the game gets more characters than the previous installment recieved... I think that we all should hit up the Capcom Unity fourms and voice our opinions on how many characters and what characters that we would like to see. It's good that we are voicing our opinions and thoughts here in Event hubs. That shows we have a strong community of members, but what counts and the only way they will notice our opinions is that we take what he have suggested and thought and post actively on the fourms.
What will also be cool to represent Event hubs community on their forums would be to put a EH_Username ..Example for me EH_Street_Fighter_OG Not saying you have to but it's an idea that I just thought of. I'm going to admit that I have a Capcom Unity Login, but Im going to make another login to represent Event Hubs. The point I'm trying to make is that no one can come plain if they don't at least try by posting on their forum which they have stated many times in their videos/interviews that they have been doing alot of adjusting based on a lot of fan feed back. Now let me make this clear. Representing does not mean go there flamming and spamming, telling them what to do and how to do it. Just peacefully let them know how much it will me to have certain characters in. i have read throughout this community, teamxbox, ign, srk, and many others and I have seen a lot of the same request. if the same request are noticeable throughout their forums. i'm sure they will make it happen.
